- Oh, look an animatic--haven't seen one of these on my channel for a hot minute since last summer. This animatic took surprisingly less time than my country human ones so I'm proud that I got my sH1t together and managed to make it under a week.
Anyways hope you enjoy this little look into my story building since I've haven't done one and some of y'all have been asking for OC backstories so here's of the Leihana Twins (Mako and Kai'Lea)
I hope to do more in the future so look forward to that

My depiction of the story;
Boy: mute or just shy
Girl: outgoing and adventurous
The boy and girl were siblings and they had a fishing business (or it’s just a hobby) In this story, they landed on a nearby island, or landed home, or had a fight before she boarded the boat, or it was a flashback. Anyways, she got into a fight and her condition got worse after the fight. Which leads to her dyeing (idk how to spell it) somehow. And the brother would be sad that he wasn’t there for her.

To break it down, Kai'Lea's brother, Mako, told Kai'Lea something along the lines of 'Don't make me live with out you' and she got in a lot of fights before so blah blah blah but Mako told her not to fight so the night she died she didn't fight but ran for it through plam[or coconut trees I dunno] trees and then she saw she was on the edge and stopped but... the people who were chasing her caught up and hit her then.... YEAH- SHE FELL OFF A CLIFF AND HIT HER HEAD ON A ROCK AND FELL INTO tHE OCEAN AND DROWNED

I Google Translated the writing on the picture since I only speak English, Spanish and some French, and I was shocked because a realised that's exactly what was written on my big brother's picture. He went missing about a year ago and mum told me he's in a mental asylum but turns out he died from a fist fight. Lovely story and animation, you deserve so many more subs

Thank you everybody for your concern and wishes..I was 12 when it happened so it was really hard for me. I'm pretty much over it and it's nothing you need to worry about. It's been nearly a year since I found out about his passing and I still do cry over him sometimes but I know he's happier now,wherever he is. I may only be 13 but I'm more mature than it sounds,My brother was 21 so it just goes to show me that, 1)Life is short. And 2)You only live once. I hope nobody has to go through the things I did. And just a note to everybody if something happens to someone you love,weather it's a friend,family,or lover,don't do what I did and assume it's your fault, you don't deserve anything or intentionally harm yourself because that will upset that person. Just keep positive and don't put yourself down.🥀🖤
Theory time cuz im already heavly invested!
1. Father had two kids, they lived in Hawaii and grew up in a fishing business (maybe just love of fishing) the girl being very enthusiastic and happy, this may stem from the fact that she is ill (of so i think) and the boy, his quietness and lack of being involved stems from fear. The fight scene in the story never truly happens, but is just a way the boy copes with the death of his sister, hence such the strong reaction to seeing her.
2. Same back story about the family except this time the girl isnt ill, just a happy child. The boy still being introverted, and assumingly doesnt love fishing as much as his father and sister. This leading to him not going on a fishing trip with them, one that proved fatal for the two since the sister is clearly dead and the father doesnt make another appearance after the first half. The fight scene is simply just a memory of his and how he wishes he was there for her more.

@@rmjayy_399 Actually no, the fight in this video was kind of a memory fragment. It was when Kai'Lea was in a fight with some bullies (I know their names I just forgot) because she was like talking back to them. That was when Mako and Kai'Lea were 17, the fight only caused a bloody forehead and some bruises. How Kai'Lea died was at 18-19, the three bullies cornered Kai'Lea to a cliff and she knew she was near the cliff. The reason she didn't wanna fight the bullies was that Mako said that he was worried about her and didn't want her hurt. When the bullies backed her in the corner she lost her feet grip and fell off the cliff into the ocean. She hit her head on a rock first thing and if you knew belly-flopping or back flopping or something, is really painful when from afar part. So basically her body slammed into the water and she hit her head on the rock and due to hella blood loss she died. You can basically tell from the desc in the Aloha'Oe video.

The subtle imagery that they at 0:49 is great. Very well done. I will say it might of needed a quick frame with them getting the necklaces but thats just me nick picking. And maybe a bit to tell the genders apart. They are very easy to mix up for someone like me

When I first clicked on this video 5 months ago, I though it was an normal animation of the cup song but at the end I finally realized that it had its whole own backstory. When I read what the picture said, I finally understood what was happening. Now looking at it, it seems like his backstory. Hanging out with his sister and friends, figuring new thing out through out the way, forming a closer relationship with his sister that he’s already very close with and how he lost her. This story is incredibly deep! Taking a song and turning it into a whole story is pure talent.
You should look at the rest of Raja's works. The girl(who died) has a whole lot of things going on in the aftetlife

Siblings will have purity towards each other most likely more than anyone else they know. Thing is, when you grow up with someone either full of love or hate towards you, you will never find yourself abandoning them. You become curious, understanding, caring, then trusting with all your heart and every piece of your life. Seeing them hurt kills you, but seeing them pass is just a lingering memory that makes you feel nothing but guilty. Me and my brother are so close of age and heart, so we got away with anything we wanted. We partners in crime, and once in a while would we rat each other out. My sister and I share the best of our feelings, and we always showed our views on everything,; we never judge. When she got into a car crash, I was terrified but I had kept quiet at the worst time, making it seem as if I didn't care. When she got home, she came to me and apologizes. She didn't want me to see her like that, but she knew she had to. I love and trust her much more.

Probably a very late response, but this is the animators story! All of the characters are their OCs. The girl is the main character of the story and the boy is her brother. The girl with the bow is the MC's brothers wife and I think all the others are just possible co-murderers- I mean friends.

About a 3 years ago a little before covid started my eldest brother went missing and I didn't realize till now why this animation made me feel what I'm feeling this feeling for regret and longing to have had hung out with him more, but after 3-4 years of him being gone and seeing this for the first time in a year hits hard

So I honestly didn't watch as much of the first part because I'm a sucker for angst but what really got me was the last minute or so. She had all these amazing plans but snuck out leaving her brother behind. I think she either got jumped by some people who either hated/were jealous of her or that she had a fight scheduled to settle something. The part that strikes me is that she made it home and was able to flash her brother one last peace sign meaning to me that she was trying to reassure him even up to her dying breath. I think she got hit by the bat and her brain ended up hemorrhaging but the fact she made it home so her brother didn't need to worry and find her in the streets is touching. I cry whenever I watch this but the love between siblings is so beautiful and it strikes a chord with me. I'm a big sister and I feel this would be me and my younger bro. Great job all in all.

While everyone is talking about how sad the story is, I just want to mention the attention to detail with the fish, I quite like the fish, and how they look chubby in a fish like matter.
Idk really, I just liked the fish scene. (The one in the Water although the one where they are holing it too is cool)
