Yay for baby pigs!!! They are so cute. Elvira is a good momma. They are going to be everywhere before long. Playing and running, and driving Elvira crazy.
CONGRATS 🍾🎈🎊🎉 Beautiful Kunekune babies. I love hearing Elvira sing to them it’s just so precious!❤ She does seem to be quite aware of where the babies are before laying down.
I’m glad yall’s worked out so smoothly! Our kunekune mix gave birth friday night and she only had 2 but the last one got stuck and luckily we were there it took is several hrs to free the it and luckily it lived! We have a healthy mom and 2 babies. We have been giving penicillin injections the last 2 days to make sure she is healthy!
I am loving Elvira and Zeke! And those baby piglets! oh my goodness they are too cute! I am so glad you didn't give up. You can tell you truly care for your animals and that right there is just pure love which is why I love watching your channel. Elvira seems to be a good mom. So sorry that you lost one but the ones that are left look to be really happy and healthy. Congradualtions!
Awww so stinkin adorable! Congratulations guys! I know how you feel about watching them 24/7...it's like having your own kids and constantly being on high alert. I know losing animals happens but still doesn't take away from the loss we feel. But still I rejoice with you on your first new born babies on your farm! Such a great feeling. Can't wait to watch them run around💖🐖💖
I'm so glad that Elvira finally had her piglets. She was looking awfully big. I counted 8! I'm glad you put the heat lamp in there! Nice job guys having them all live! Yay! Power to the chicken brooder building! Those are some pretty baby piggies! Congratulations Contreras family for having your first livestock born on your farm!
They heard the word freezer and they made it happen! Congratulations guy’s absolutely adorable best footage of piglets I’ve ever seen. Thank you for sharing the joy ❤
You are really a great family I look at your channel everyday along with your community group .I love thinking I am a part of your journey .Don't worry the piggies will be OK .I'm laughing looking at first time grand animal parents .Its nice to see the care and love. I'm from Trinidad
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Sorry for the loss of the one piglet. I agree there's a big difference between losing an animal and processing one for food. My wife and I have a small homestead in Indiana. Last Friday, the 17th, we had twin goats born. They were both bucks. Have a good day, and God bless!!!!
Yayyyyy! I’m so glad you gave Ms Elvira and Zeke time to get er done! Awesome to have spring babies on the homestead! Love love love it! Your Kune’s couple are keepers! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏❤️🥂
They are very cute and sell for a lot of money. They don’t tear up the yard rooting and they eat grass unlike all other pigs! They are also very friendly.
💚 I also am glad you kept on with E & Z! Those piglets are SO special! Sorry you lost one. I spoke with you, live, June 2022, in TN, about E & Z, now you have beautiful piglets! 😊💚
Sweet ! How exciting to have them. So sorry about the one who was lost. It’s interesting at how their coloration turns out and the boy/girl numbers. She is very attentive.
They are so cute!! Farming can be brutal, for sure - stay strong, Lorraine! We love your channel - it’s so much fun to watch with my kiddos and talk them about where food comes from.
Congrats you guys! That first litter of piglets is sooo precious. I remember feeling very accomplished and excited when my 1st Hamps were born. Pigs / sows try very hard not to crush babies. It happens. It's a hard loss but its part of it.
They are so adorable! I really like Kunekune pigs. My granddaughter has raise pigs for years for 4H & FFA, but they're butchered so young and eat a lot. Kunekunes are great all around and fairly easy keepers. Congratulations❤️
Great video! I've been following for a along with you friends. Learned a lot, just starting out. We are on 13 acres. We've done 9 pigs so far. 20 turkeys and many cornish cross. You guys are great and inspiration!
They are so adorable!! I remember as a child we would seem to lose a little piglet at times. Just because the mom rolled over on them, sometimes it’s just the part of raising animals!! I’m so happy you kept them so they give you new life on the homestead!! 💕
Congrats! I love baby piggies! We have Kune Kunies too that we got from the Stivers right after they moved. I wasn’t aware - you are supposed to get the boys castrated in the first week - at least that is the easiest. Our first litter I think they were 4 or 5 months old and I had to hold them up by their back legs while the vet did her thing. The second litter I think they were about three weeks and that’s when this former pig farmer said to do it in the first week. She showed me how but I’m not entirely sure I’ll be able to do it but I’m probably going to give it a try.
OH Baby piglets are just the cutest & you need to have at least a week of nothing else but watching them or at least I would have to. Congratulations to Mum & Dad they have produced beautiful offspring. Great Video Guys. Cheers Denise- Australia
This is exciting to see. We have two gilts right now, and in June we are getting a bred sow and a boarling. So we will have piglets this fall and then be ready to start getting ready to prep for a fall breeding for spring babies next year. All of ours are/will be registered. We are super excited.
TERRIFIC VIDEO! Cannot get enough of the Pig content! The piglets are so adorable and I simply love watching the adult pigs go after the grub! It seems like they really relish whatever you place in front of them! Is there any food that is "good for pigs" that they do NOT like? Seems like Elvira and Zeek are a perfect breeding pair and should give your farm many more litters in the years ahead! CONGRATS on the first babies born on the farm!
Life on the farm is never boring. Piglets look very healthy. You will lose some, just be prepared for that. The rail just needs to be a little higher, with second board above that. Thin out straw, and put heat lamp on that side in the middle. That way pigs can move both directions when mom lays down. Blessings🙂
Gorgeous piglets. Kunekunes are a heritage breed fron New Zealand and they did nearly go extinct. Thankfully Michael Willis and John Simister rediscovered them and now they ars worldwide. Michael wrote a book about it ( not Rescued, that is a new book of his) but I cannot remember the name. A good read though. We are about to start a Kunekune breeding group again after not having any for about 15 years. Our original lot roamed free on 900 acres. They are the ultimate sustainable livestock, easy care, productive, friendly and super cute.
Omme bop-pah mouw wow, Elvira! Y'all are doing such a great job! Now this is a new part of the Homestead. Time to grow and learn! I'll be here for the ride, thanks and congratulations! 🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷
I'm so glad you didn't give up on Elvira and Zeke!! They made the CUTEST piglets!! I'm so sorry that you lost one 😢
Yay for baby pigs!!! They are so cute. Elvira is a good momma. They are going to be everywhere before long. Playing and running, and driving Elvira crazy.
We are so happy they finally came. I can't believe we missed it by one day before we left. We should have stayed.
Congratulations. The colorization on the piglets is beautiful.
I would watch half hour of just those baby piglets crawling around and bonding with mama! So adorable! ❤
OMG!🍾🎊🎉 that is cuteness overload. Aren’t you glad you decided to wait before you sold them. The mama and papa I mean. So sweet. Congrats.
Excellent work! Glad you were patient with them to get those piglets. Pretty awesome.
That's wonderful and amazing! I'm really happy for y'all. Elvira looks like she's a great mom

I would put the rail back up and put two more boards above it so she can’t get back in there. Sorry about the one you lost. They are adorable!!🐷
Wooooo!🎉🎉❤ congratulations!!! I was so worried you were going to get rid of them they are so cute!!!
almost
I'm so glad that Elvira finally had her piglets. She was looking awfully big. I counted 8! I'm glad you put the heat lamp in there! Nice job guys having them all live! Yay! SO EXCITING!!!! So glad you didn't sell them! Congrats on the new piglets!
You can use chamomile for the eye infection, You make it like you make tea, let it cool and apply it with a cotton ball to the eye
Congratulations on the latest additions to your homestead 🎉

Oh my gosh I'm so in love with that one with the little tan face. You love their precious little faces.

Glad you moved the crush rail. I would have done the same thing. Good luck little piggies!
