at 2:19 u described nuclear fusion as light nuclei to heavy nuclei... did u mean small nuclei to large... as in nuclear fission 2 small nuclei produce a larger nuclei with a lighter mass?
Hi, some mass is lost yes, but the 2 nuclei that fuse together are each lighter than the nuclei they form, so we can say 2 lighter nuclei fuse to make a heavier nucleus or 2 smaller nuclei fuse to make a larger nucleus, both are correct :)

Basically it says that the total mass of the two hydrogen nuclei of will be higher than that of the helium atom produced since some of the mass is converted into energy. So the product (helium) will be less massive than each of the reactants (hydrogens). Then it says that two light nuclei (e.g. of hydrogen) can make a heavier nucleus (e.g. of helium) as in the mass number of the product (helium) will be greater compared to each of the reactants (each of the lighter hydrogen nuclei). Well sun is a star and is the hottest thing we know. So the temperature required will be acquired and the fusion process can take place. Well that's what I understood 🙂
Well stars are composed of helium and hydrogen... The two elements that are a sort of fuel for the fusion in stars to start. In fact for a gas giant planet to become a star, there must be fusion reactions in its core and the planet must acquire the prerequisites for fusion reactions(mass, temperature, pressure etc..) How do they know that fusion is the main source? They analyzed the spectrum, temperatures and the wavesn etc. coming from the sun..also iam pretty sure there is no other reaction tht produces more energy than in fusion

i completely agree, i was getting grade 6's in triple science and now i got a 9 in biology, 8 in chem and hopefully a 8 or 9 in physics soon

no. There are just different types of helium and the periodic table lists the most common one
