Something I love is that even though at the end you say that you only focused on the evolutions of the series, the last part about the older greymon can be interpreted as both wargreymon (which I think was your intention) and Metal greymon virus (a version in decomposition of a greymon metal that has a bluish/grayish skin tone and is more aggressive) and that moment where you call out to how ridiculous digimon can be with their names, especially the attacks? it was fantastic
I love that little evolution graph you did towards the start! That sums up the craziness of Digimon evolution PERFECTLY! This video would be the perfect Mother's Day gift! Now do Garurumon.
HAH I KNEW IT! That silhouette is just too iconic... But anyway I absolutely love how you managed to add Botamon (egg) and Koromon (hatchling) into the creature and not just skipping straightforward to Agumon although you caught me surprised a bit. I would 100% have expected for it to be either Australian due to its history of Holocenic giant reptiles or not a monitor lizard but instead a Monstersaur (yes, it is the real name of the lineage of Gila Monsters and relatives) due to their bumpier skin and being known for having a fire-like venom.
I know very little about Digimon, but I have seen the memes about Digimon evolution, so avoiding getting too far into that is probably for the best. (Though the idea of digital or mechanical life is a fascinating option, at least once evolution kicks in) Also, that is pretty well-justified fire breath, even if it is more of a corrosive spray.
Can you do lizard folk from DND? The crocodilian or iguana like beings that are decently intelligent, adapted for water and they can’t process emotions in the same way humans do. They also have protective hides that are like armor and jaws that do quite a bit of damage. I also think you should mention that their culture encourages them to make things like weapons and trophies from their kills.
Honesty even i am a Pokemon fan Its nice to see Digimons having detailed description about their species and their Biology like Animals in their real life counterpart similar to Pokémon and Palworld though i am wondering how will they work and different environments and ecosystem and how will they adapt in their different lifestyle.
Perhaps exploring some Digimon from Frontier could make for an interesting episode. Specifically, I’m referring to the 12 spiritual Digimon that are the result of humans gaining the forms of legendary Digimon (referred to as "Spirit Evolutions"). Perhaps that could be worked in a more biological way to be something like human genetic modification, which wouldn’t be unprecedented for you considering that you have done an Attack on Titan episode before.
I should've guessed Digimon, but then again, I'm not familiar with that series, but the color scheme does remind me of Buddy and the other T-Rex designs in the PBS and Jim Henson show Dinosaur Train, created by Hey Arnold creator, Craig Bartlett.
Good job handling this poor man's Pokemon. Especially explaining the blue lines that so seldom appear in nature. The subject of digital organisms seems interesting, albiet I question how much the term wildlife would apply to them.
This guy is really cool although I am a bit sad that you didn't being up there intelligents. If I were to do this, I personally would have done pretty much the same thing you did, but the armor is not part of their body but is instead something crafted by them. Perhaps they even have some sort of tradition where young ones only get a helmet when they start growing stripes.
Often thought about how one would do digimon in a realistic setting. What I think of when it says they're made of data, is that one episode of Star Trek Voyager when beings from a parallel universe show up in the holodeck because their own universe is all holographic light stuff. But digimon can fully interact with things in our universe; get nourishment from physical foods just fine. Not sure how that would work. In the Tamers series when they enter the physical world there's this strange mist and it said that they are forming "pseudo proteins". Not sure how that would work either. Are they accumulating mass from the environment? Given the size of some of them it seems unlikely. I'd like to see how you might puzzle some of this out.
I can only imagine how difficult making plausible Digimon must be. Good on you using a varanid too. I think I'd be disappointed if greymon was just a dinosaur but extra
Digimon, and I will request you to do methanosian reimagined video because methanosian is a ben 10 alien which it's notable member is swampfire, and reimagined methanosian is a fictional species of orangutan like ape related to khoratpithecus that lived in Asian swamps.
