- Are #macaw parrots and mini macaws the same?
These are very different birds- one is 5x larger! She has greater needs when it comes to food, someone to clean up after them and a lot of space and attention-
Mini Macaws, like Emerald, are similar to conures in a lot of ways: more active, similar diets -

I can tell you really love your birds. My blue-headed Pionus is the best, most intuitive bird I’ve ever had.
I wonder how your blue headed pie onus is compared to my white cap. You are absolutely correct! I super love my birds.
Emerald is so funny! She sounds like a pair of wet squeaky sneakers🤣
Lol yea can’t disagree!
Hi.. ur videos are great and very informative.. can u also pls do a detail video about illigers macaw pls
I'm sorry, I've never had one :(
Thank you for watching!
❤❤
Absolutely!
I have a hahn macaw and her name is elsa
I bet she's awesome!
Great video Kalyn. I was considering the Hanhs before I interacted with the Golden.
Goldens are one of my favorites- love mine
What can I say. I love Emerald! So my choice of macaw is obvious. A Hahn’s is just so cute. I have heard they can be needy. How do you find Emerald? One of my Caiques is very bonded to me. No matter what I’m doing she has to be in the middle of it. By the way, she does have a best feathered friend. But, when hears me or gets a glimpse of me she drops her friend like a hot potato. I love large macaws but they are a bit much for me. ❤️
Bonnie is like that, bonded to Tikko until I walk by! Emerald needy- video!
Excellent comparison and descriptions, thank you.
Many flock blessings 🌻🌻🌻
Thank you, Eliza, and thanks for posting. How are you?
@@ParrotBliss Hi Kaylyn! I'm doing well, thank you. Still waiting and (mentally) preparing for the time I can add another parrot or two to my life, so I keep learning and remembering and studying and dreaming! 🧡 (my late parrot, Gabriel, was lost to me December 2019...my spirit still mourns him much, I miss him!!!)
I currently have a small flock of Bantam Cochin chickens, who are primarily my pet-babies, then they are egg-providers...LOL...I love them so!
And, my little min-pin/dachsund/chihuahua-mix doggy, who was raised with the chickens (and Gabriel). She doesn't care for them at all, as she's been pecked by them one too many times. And, she gets jealous of them. LOL!
I love your Parrot Bliss shares, ideas, and advice...thank you 🌻🌻🌻
Muy docil
Mis consentidos
Hi! Emerald seems quite bonded to you. Did you get her as a baby or a different age? How old was she when you got her?
Yes, she is attached to me at her hip!
any thoughts about lorikeets?
They are messy- cure, adorable, full of life, but they require a special diet compared to most other parrots
I have a Hahn macaw. Do We need to get another bird for him? We have had him for 5 years. He is 5 years old and the only parrot we have.
Is he unhappy? Screaming, plucking? In any case, I would... I have over and over...lol
@@ParrotBliss he isn’t screaming. He does over preen. We are starting to spray him and getting him outside more and hopefully this will help him to stop over preening. He doesn’t pluck though.
@@cG-es8mb I would certainly try getting another- adult or baby, but baby must be supervised, and then a different case
