Total Guitar called Matt Bellamy "the Jimi Hendrix of his generation," because he was like the greatest guitarist of his time. Well, you could also call him "the Jimmy Page of his generation" because those same people tend to call him the greatest riff creator of his generation, in the same people see Jimmy Page as the greatest riff creator of all time. While I'm not truly a fan of Muse, I have to admit that the riff he did to "Plug In Baby" was a killer.
Erik Cruze Or Jimmy Page, considering people tend to think of Matt Bellamy as the greatest riffmaster of the new millennium. You could say that he's Hendrix and Page rolled into one.
what matt says about playing the guitar and how it brings out something inside of you, it is so true :) i'm actually really shy as a person too, but the other day we did like airband presentations at school where ur just lipsyncing everything, and just the feeling of playing the guitar and beeing on stage made me want to do crazy things and do some things that i never thought i would ever do, it's an awesome feeling :)
Matthew Bellamy is an amazing musician!!! I love his voice, the way he plays the guitar, and the way he plays the piano. He is one of the best musicians and Muse totally rocks! One of the best bands of all time!!!!!
I never thought I would say that about anyone, but Matt Bellamy is the perfect man. he's intelligent, funny, barmy, weird, believes in aliens, likes sci-fi etc. And I think I don't have to remind you that he's hot. There is only one explenation. He's an alien.
“OK, so there I was, writing a song, when suddenly birds came out of no where. I got scared and shot them with my nipple lasers” ~ Matt Bellamy on song writing
Muse put the true meaning into Alternative Rock......people say lt Rock is hard rock ( Papa Roach ) but Punk rock ( Green Day, etc. )....theyve actually explored loads of genres of music....i dont know how they do it, but Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme, and Dom Howard have serious talent!!!!
What a lovely clip. Shortly after becoming Muse-obsessed, I Wiki'd Telstar because I vaguely remembered a sad story related to the band, The Tornados (no "e"). I went bonkers when I read that Matt was the son of George Bellamy. Muse have a distinct sound unlike any other band out there today, but I hear the elder Bellamy's influence in the music of his son. What a kick it'll be to see if baby Bing follows in his dad's and grand-dad's footsteps.
Matt Bellamy is simply a GENIUS!he ìs a selftaught of guitar....and his style a mix of rock and classical music(he love rachmaninoff and chopin,he play also the piano)is unique! Muse are a great band especially a great live band...of of greatest live band ever!
i remember this guy before he was famous when i went to record a jingle at a recording studio in a school he was super friendly , local lads done good :)
Slash is a great musician not because of his technical skills but because of his ability to compose music. Listen to the November Rain solo and the Sweet Child O Mine solo, they're both beautiful.
OMG! I love Matt's hair. He should have it like this more often. I am sure alot of people would like to stroke his hair. I know I would. LOL! MUSE are awesome.
matt is SO an excellent guitarist. what the hell have you been listening tom to make you think otherwise... he was voted fucking guitarist of the decade
No you're not wrong. 'Hullabaloo' isn't a 'studio album'; it's a live CD and DVD (the DVD has footage of them live at 'Le Zenith' in Paris, and has other stuff that was filmed during the tour). You have to get it! :0)
Why wouldn't songs with crowd pleasing guitar melodies like plug in baby not make matt a guitar player? His solo's are in his own style and they are awesome. Listen to Guiding Light for example, that solo is epic played in a stadium concert.
There's bits on the programme that aren't part of this interview, and bits of this interview that aren't on the programme, if that makes sense. Basically, watch the programme too :0)
Ah I see what you mean, but I think they pick things up faster (if they do) due to the fact that many Asians have an amazing work ethic, and will keep practicing for hours. For example, Indians are well-known for being extremely hard working, and Chinese people often start playing piano (for example) when very young, often being made to practice for hours on end. However, I see the incredible work ethic of a lot of Asian people as something to aspire to!
He's scarily good, on guitar AND piano. , not to mention how good he sings live.
♥️

And I can call Tom Morello the Jimi of 90s. I personally think so.
TheZooropaBaby I would say Dime Bag Darrell was the JH of the 90's!!!
Erik Cruze fuck no he just a shredder
I'll agree to disagree on Dime Bag just being a shredder. Matt Bellamy is the JH of the new millennium.
Erik Cruze
Or Jimmy Page, considering people tend to think of Matt Bellamy as the greatest riffmaster of the new millennium. You could say that he's Hendrix and Page rolled into one.
love him, just love him.
Omg....Matt is too handsome!! 💐💐😍
Glad you like it :)
@@beadycat Hi,can i ask you,who is you? 😄

My little brother (13) learnt how to play knights of cydonia a couple of months ago...so cute :)
I'd go gay for him,definitely.
I am gay for him… it’s a problem.
Matt looked like Billie-Joe from Green Day when he was walking...
Both are short maybe that’s why

Musical genius.
great EVERYTHING.
@Silentshots1 i think its the 2007 H.A.A.R.P tour that started @ wembly, it was fucking amazing, the best gig i've seen them do.
Matt seems to hyperactive, restless, manic. But eventhough he's a genius. Genius are always mad.
Perhaps he is, he came to earth to save us with his music.
I never thought I would say that about anyone, but Matt Bellamy is the perfect man. he's intelligent, funny, barmy, weird, believes in aliens, likes sci-fi etc. And I think I don't have to remind you that he's hot. There is only one explenation. He's an alien.

haha, you've chosen the best suitable "hair-role model" in my opinion. matt bells always, i mean ALWAYS has great hair.
He was inspired by Jimi Hendrix, I was inspired by Matt :).
Although I love both.

hes a brilliant musician. great singer, guitarist and pianist
just gotta love this dude
Okay but Chris looks so big that he could be a bodyguard for Dom and Matt.
i totally relate to what he's saying at the end - I'd hate to give a speech or sing in front of a crowd but love playing guitar in front of people.
Thank you so much for posting.. Keep up the good work. AND Matt is always the best~=D
you just gotta love him! he and muse are amazing!!!!!

Muse r one of the greatest live band ever!!!
actually what amaze me is that he play both guitar AND piano damn good.
music is very personal - it is heart to heart communication - especially in this case
Matt Bellamy is simply a GENIUS!he ìs a selftaught of guitar....and his style a mix of rock and classical music(he love rachmaninoff and chopin,he play also the piano)is unique!

I am in love with this guy, it's insane
Matt could just sit there and do nothing.
And he would still be adorable.
xD
WOW! I've heard Telstar a hundred times, I never knew his dad played guitar on that song. Too cool.

i remember this guy before he was famous when i went to record a jingle at a recording studio in a school he was super friendly , local lads done good :)
Great, awesome!
Best band! Best guitarist! Love you matt
Slash is a great musician not because of his technical skills but because of his ability to compose music. Listen to the November Rain solo and the Sweet Child O Mine solo, they're both beautiful.

@givetherabbitsumtrix i love him
i love him that's an understatement
Matthew I love you :) you are my inspiration
Yep. I've used a diezel amp before, it's immense! So many channels as well.
Matt Bellamy would have been a much better choice than Jack White on 'It Must Get Loud'.
Daniel Aldana I would love to see something like this too .. like fuck yeah !
oh thanks for uploading!!!!
@rizzazla I don't know how one can get much bigger than consistently selling out stadiums....
OMG! I love Matt's hair. He should have it like this more often. I am sure alot of people would like to stroke his hair. I know I would. LOL! MUSE are awesome.
Matt you are great !!!!
I can hear his dad's influence, great!

I've met him, twice. He's like some sort of scared little bird. Which only endeared me even more. Bless. :0)

They didn't show it in any of the episodes, see my other comments :0)
