@@High.on.Life_DnB that’s right. Depends on your setup, the scenario I describe above is purely for tv to avr, no media input device at all. Since my projector has arc in the hdmi 3 port I hook up there and hook my shield media player to my marantz av in the hdmi port 3 as well. @bombay electronics yeah I did that when I had the HDMI cable from TV connected to output 1 which is labelled as earc/arc and I got audio but not the lossless and also didn't get anything if it was playing any Dolby digital + content. Hi, I just bought one of these for stripping from PS5 to AVR, but I regularly use the smart TV apps too. I (mis?)understood that it could receive ARC into Output 1 and pass to Output 2 but so far this doesn't work - Samsung TV does not recognise the HDMI ARC output, grays it out. @@OREI-COM So the limitation is STILL the TV? What is the point of your product then? 1st Scenario (0:49). Media device -> OREI -> TV + OREI -> Older soundbar. This suggests that the TV is not even in the equation. Your product is now doing the same as any DTS extractor on ebay is doing. What value is your device adding here? 2nd Scenario (1:15). Media device -> TV -> OREI -> Soundbar. Again, what is the OREI adding here? Now the TV is the limiting factor. I've never seen a soundbar not able to take input from a TV via HDMI arc or optical. Can you suggest a soundbar which cannot connect to a TV for your example? Why would you suggest the OREI device in this config? It adds nothing. A true eARC extractor would sit in between the media device and the older arc supported TV. It would extract the eArc signal from the media device and send it to the newer soundbar, keeping Dolby Atmos signal intact. And via a second output on the OREI, a video feed over HDMI would be provided to the TV. Calling your device an eARC extractor seems a bit misleading.

I (mis?)understood that it could receive ARC into Output 1 and pass to Output 2 but so far this doesn't work - Samsung TV does not recognise the HDMI ARC output, grays it out. Input goes to PS5, and that works okay.

then i can send the 4k dolby vision/hdr10+ video signal out from output HDMI to my 4k tv and send the DolbyTruHD/DTS Master HD signal from the second output HDMI to the AVR....?!?
Kindly clarify, Thanks.
In both scenarios he talks about ARC content. NOT eARC. Why the hell is this labelled as an eARC extractor? My soundbar uses eARC. My TV is ARC.

If I were to connect my XSX directly to my TV @4k120 then run an HDMI cable via eARC to this device then HDMI to soundbar, would it carry the audio? specifically dolby atmos.
Thank you!!
@@OREI-COM appreciate the response. Great news
I got one of these to take audio from my LG C1 OLED that has EARC to my soundbar that has ARC, it will show 5.1 and 7.1 uncompressed with my XBOX Series X but it gives no sound, it I change to 2.0 uncompressed it get sound but no surround, if I change to Dolby Digital I also get sound but massive audio delay.
Is there a firmware update for this?
