Is a connection to the "TV" *required* to connect to an eARC sound bar? I have mine connected to a Bose 600 but the eARC light never turns on. Other suggestions for improvement: 1) Support HDMI 2.1 for 4k; the TV connection appears limited to 1080p, which is unfortunate. 2) Add a USB-C connection, not just for power but allowing the device to act as an external sound card for any laptop or desktop. I have been trying for years to find a way to get proper 7.1 surround from my laptop - all I want is a simple plug and play from laptop to sound bar, but that just doesn't seem to exist.
Its a nice product working good but i just want to know how to get earc via setting. I connected my benq projector hdmi to orei hdmi tv earc, orei sounbar earc to my sound bar earc and Nvidia shield hdmi to orei in hdmi I am getting sounds and video what i am asking is in orei hda 932 the earc light is not on. Always pcm lights is on how to get earc light should on in orei 932
I have an LG Smart TV into the TV input, and LG Soundbar into the Soundbar input. The soundbar and TV work fine, but there is ZERO output at either the audio jack or the optical out. I want that extra output to go to a separate amplifier. What am I doing wrong? Help!
The 3.5mm and Optical will only work when set to the audio format they support. Optical will work when the output is set to 5.1CH and the 3.5mm will work when the output is set to 2CH.

Yes, you will be able to use this with your eARC soundbar if you have an external media source such as a cable box or a streaming device such as Roku or Firetv stick.

Does this upscale a smart tv arc only , to dolby atmos sound bar, as l can only get 5.1
Yeah it does because the Audio is never going to your tv but straight to your audio device (that supports Dolby atmos)

I am having the same issue. I had it working for a week but now it no longer lights up and my sound bar is no longer receiving a Dolby atmos signal.
Now I am facing the same issue not getting atmos in my soundbar😢😢😢

No both will play the same audio.
