    trust me, i'm 62 years old, I know ,my music, this band rocks, most guitarists wish they could play like this, listen to how tasty the lead guitar is, the vocals are spot on,rhythm is perfect, the sound is clear and full, keep it up men! Frederick Frost

      Breaks my heart they broke up in 2018 the lead guitarist wants to be a solo star like Harry styles but other three I think will be back together in something

    • @theselector4733
      @theselector4733 Год назад +1

      @@john0691 The other 3 formed a band, can't recall their name, but they broke up soon afterwards. Maybe the Covid thing had something to do with it.
      Shame about The Strypes, they were a GREAT Band. Unfortunately their sound and style kind of limited them a bit. They either had to expand their sound/genre or write HITS to keep moving forward, none of which happened.

      Finally some real music? Are you kidding? A band from 2014 playing like the 60's again? How many times are we gonna cover the 60's before it just gets stupid? Jesus Christ it was 50 years ago… I want to hear some NEW music, not dorks from the 2010's pretending to be a 60's band. The worst part is it doesn't even have a hooky or catchy melody. NEXT!

    • @FlamingZebra101
      @FlamingZebra101 10 лет назад +13

      paul bergeron If anything these guys are reviving the sound of the sixties, not ripping it off. And whose to say they will stay like this? They are a very young band, and have their whole careers ahead of them to experiment and try new things. Don't pass them off immediately, because they are an extremely promising young group.

    • @Moondog1954
      @Moondog1954 10 лет назад

      ***** I agree music today is terrible. I still don't want to hear rehashed music though. I can listen to actual 60's songs that are a billion times better than this. It's 2014 lets try something new instead of pretending we live in the 60's?

    • @FlamingZebra101
      @FlamingZebra101 10 лет назад +7

      Everyone borrows from their idols, and thats just what these guys are doing. They are genuinely talented individuals. And how many times must I reiterate, they are a very young band are likely to develop as they age. Anyway, at this point most rehashing of the sixties has been incredibly creative and well made music. If anything, it is good that they are trying to bring back this style of music.

    we need people like them. i'm like around their age and if it weren't for them i wouldn't know of the Yardbirds and such. and didn't a lot of these classic bands start at a young age like them? like george harrison coming into the beatles at 14 and such...wow can you imagine what the strypes could do in the future? So glad that they are young, and glad that I finally have a good band to grow up with.

      They've worked harder for it. Playing pubs, smaller, obscure places, and building up steam. Compared to some openers for One Direction and immediately getting fame.

    They are very talented at such a young age. Incredible. Yeah sure they have obvious influences but who doesn't. The important thing is that they transcend it to make their own awesome music.
    Coming from a metalhead who is not easily interested by pop/rock music. But hell, these ones are really good.

    I honestly don't hear The Beatles in this at all. More Rolling Stones if you insist on comparing them to another band. Maybe The Who. Some of their other songs sound Small Faces-ey.

    • @Raggarockerhelsinki
      @Raggarockerhelsinki 10 лет назад +2

      I also think this band has little to do with the Beatles, except the few early years.
      The Strypes have learned their lessons more than well. They sound like early Dr. Feelgood or Lew Lewis Reformer. Also influenced by the Pirates and quit a lot from the Inmates and Eddie and the Hot Rods which all were great English R&B and R&R bands in the 60ies - 80ies.
      Kaya if you like this, you could check out the Downliner Sect from 60ies as well the Renegades (from Finland/England).
      It´s so good to have a band like this!

      Its great, but México has been giving so many good bands lately:
      - Los Maestros del Revólver (Surf Western/Rock & Roll/Country)
      - La Garfield. (Jazz Fusion)
      - Sierra León. (Post - Rock)
      - Apolo (Rock/Desert rock)
      - Suave As Hell (Psychedelic rock)
      - URSS Bajo El Árbol (Psychedelic rock/Psychedelic pop)
      - Flödhast (Post-Rock)
      - Expedición Humboldt (Psychedelic Pop)
      - Fracaso Hippie (Rock)
      Its a matter of searching in other countries and it helps to learn another language.

      Galera tem um preconceito musical tão escroto, existem estilos musicais pra TODOS os gostos, tem quem goste e quem não goste, se você não gosta é um direito seu mas dizer que de fato é ruim não é direito seu nem aqui e nem em outro mundo, vê se abre a mente e desgruda da ignorância.

      The Best Of Music estes garotos estão na década e século errados se fossem na década de 60 bateriam de frente com os gigantes da música mundial da época eles tem uma sonoridade bastante peculiar a do The Who e The Kinks com um jeito bem punk derivado da influência deles do Ramones.

      Verdade amigo. Músicas de péssimas qualidades são divulgadas pela mídia em peso enquanto obras de artes como essa que estamos vendo são banalizadas. Faz parte da cultura da alienação. Músicas que partem de protestos e te fazem pensar como o Rock, são desprezados pouco a pouco até o desejo do seu fim, restante só a merda.

      Music is nourishment for the soul, like food is nourishment for the body. And nobody looks at a steak or cheeseburger and sniffs that "it's been done before." Nor should they regarding music.
      Music, across all known genres, has OBJECTIVELY sucked for the past 35-38 years. These guys are trying to bring real music back. So quit complaining.

    Honestly nothing special. Not a huge step up from some of the rubbish teenage bands that gig around my town. Their sounds not that great, this isn't mixed particularly well, I have no Idea what all the fuss is about. If you want to listen to a good teenage band listen to Chordless Beaches or Redolent, not these hyped up 12 year olds.

      Have to agree with you there. They're like a even worse Jake Bugg band. Nothing new here with a band that dresses like the beatles and rip off the rolling stones.

    • @ParkaMonkey1994
      @ParkaMonkey1994 11 лет назад +1

      ILOVEMUSICLIKEILOVECOOKIES
      Hardly rip off, it's mod. It wasn't just the rolling stones that were a mod band in the beginning, The Who were, The Small Faces, The Kinks etc. Modism's a way of life. There's hype about them because there's mods everywhere. Jake Bugg can fuck off and so can Miles Kane, they look the part but they music's not remotely mod.

    • @ilovemusiclikeilovecookies3448

    It makes me sick that non-talent arsewipes like One Direction and Justin Bieber get so much media exposure, when a genuine talent like this requires digging through the internet to find and never get anywhere near the praise they deserve. Well done lads, you've restored my faith in the future of music.
