Breaks my heart they broke up in 2018 the lead guitarist wants to be a solo star like Harry styles but other three I think will be back together in something
@@john0691 The other 3 formed a band, can't recall their name, but they broke up soon afterwards. Maybe the Covid thing had something to do with it. Shame about The Strypes, they were a GREAT Band. Unfortunately their sound and style kind of limited them a bit. They either had to expand their sound/genre or write HITS to keep moving forward, none of which happened.
Finally some real music? Are you kidding? A band from 2014 playing like the 60's again? How many times are we gonna cover the 60's before it just gets stupid? paul bergeron If anything these guys are reviving the sound of the sixties, not ripping it off. And whose to say they will stay like this? They are a very young band, and have their whole careers ahead of them to experiment and try new things. Don't pass them off immediately, because they are an extremely promising young group.
***** I agree music today is terrible. I still don't want to hear rehashed music though. I can listen to actual 60's songs that are a billion times better than this. It's 2014 lets try something new instead of pretending we live in the 60's?
Everyone borrows from their idols, and thats just what these guys are doing. They are genuinely talented individuals. And how many times must I reiterate, they are a very young band are likely to develop as they age. Anyway, at this point most rehashing of the sixties has been incredibly creative and well made music. If anything, it is good that they are trying to bring back this style of music.
we need people like them. i'm like around their age and if it weren't for them i wouldn't know of the Yardbirds and such. and didn't a lot of these classic bands start at a young age like them? like george harrison coming into the beatles at 14 and such...wow can you imagine what the strypes could do in the future? So glad that they are young, and glad that I finally have a good band to grow up with.
They've worked harder for it. Playing pubs, smaller, obscure places, and building up steam. Compared to some openers for One Direction and immediately getting fame.
They are very talented at such a young age. Incredible. Yeah sure they have obvious influences but who doesn't. The important thing is that they transcend it to make their own awesome music. Melissa Marie I just found this and this rocks, sad to see that they broke up. If anyone knows any bands with similar vibes to this please let me know!! :)
It's 2020 and I still listen to them, even though they have split. I have a lot of their music on my playlist which gets played down my club a lot (pool club). Most people asked who they were, but only because they loved them. Check out their live version of Taxman by the Beatles.
I honestly don't hear The Beatles in this at all. More Rolling Stones if you insist on comparing them to another band. Maybe The Who. Some of their other songs sound Small Faces-ey. These guys are really good! I'm super impressed.
marcusmalmros Wooooh! I think most people hear the British 60s influence, but they just don't know their British 60s music past The Beatles. I'm so glad that you agree with me :)
I also think this band has little to do with the Beatles, except the few early years. The Strypes have learned their lessons more than well. They sound like early Dr. Feelgood or Lew Lewis Reformer. Also influenced by the Pirates and quit a lot from the Inmates and Eddie and the Hot Rods which all were great English R&B and R&R bands in the 60ies - 80ies. Kaya if you like this, you could check out the Downliner Sect from 60ies as well the Renegades (from Finland/England). It´s so good to have a band like this!
These days its impossible to make music totally different that others, there have been sooo many of them throughout the history. You can ALWAYS find a band similar to the one that played before.

The Kinks is who this song reminds me of. But, who cares? That's a GOOD thing, and it's a great, rockin' tune. Will be looking forward to more from these young men.

at least in Ireland!
It's euphoric to hear some bands reviving the old music

Saw them last night in Memphis and it blew this 59 year old rock and roller away! There is hope...and it's name is The Strypes
5 Seconds of Summer get to be famous, but these kids don't? What the fuck?!
They're pretty famous
Not as much as those punk boy band losers. It's a shame because they deserve that level of fame.
Why do they deserve it, I'm not a fan of 5 Seconds of Summer butttt why do these deserve it more than 5 Seconds do?

Me too!… and it’s 2019!……where the hell have I been?!?!
me too!! Nights with Alice Cooper Phoenix, the other night on a Eastbound train at 10:30pm, the world just got better ..... CRANK IT!!!!!
It’s cool he enjoys stuff that not everyone is talking about instead of saying he likes Korn or some shit
Me too , Alice cooper got me here finally, I'm 53 should already know about these guys
Heard them for the first time tonight. I’ve got to get out of this cave more often. These guys are GREAT!

there are thousands upon thousands of bands that play genuinely good music

holy fuck seriously talented.
Saw these supporting Paul Weller really really good job definitely a new fan
muito bom tomara que eles venha logo para o Brasil em especial são paulo show de bola ou melhor show de rock.
eles vieram para sampa ano passado no cultura festival

They are awesome :___)
Has a renewed faith in the soul of rock and roll... Brilliant, and well done lads!
Long Live, The Who, Oasis, The Strypes Forever
How can you complain about music like this? May be 60's pop but when you see the state the music industry is in at the moment you can't complain
they play the kind of music that I love. How it is possible that they are just between 15 and 18 years old?Do they make their song?they have started very early I guess.Maybe someone gave them some very good advices
maybe they were inspired by a good taste of music, noel gallagher, jake bugg and maybe older stuff like the beatles possibly
I really hope they are inspired, and not built by someone behind the curtain
marco ferazzi the lead guitarist writes most of their songs, they are inspired by bands like the Yarbirds and stuff
Real talent knows no age limit
i truly wish is real talent Jason
Find it amazing how these are my age and they're touring with me favourite band AND they've played Glastonbury... MASSIVE career ahead. Keep it up lads.

Absolute class !! What a breathe of fresh air . I hope they go on to be big business !!
Rock on Boys!!! The first "new" band I've heard in a long time that's worth a shit!
So excited to see you guys tonight
They came to my school today
I was listening to this when it had only 13,000 views.. Good to see the lads are spreading elsewhere outside of Ireland!

The Beatles were the first band to write their own songs, all the bands back then including the Beatles did covers.
lads whatever your taking stop. Pre beatles /stones the fifties bands wrote their own music e.g .buddy holly /chuck berry/ fats/all the blue' bands . wake up
dearag peadar Seriously. This is the most musically un-educated thread. Elvis, Cash, The Coasters??
Connor Flynn In England I meant.

If Oasis and The Beatles had a steamy love affair, then this band would be the angsty, teenage offspring.
Good lookin lads! See you this summer on Leeds!
Cant believe they've split up!
That's for showing that this generation can create good music !!
the stones, the strokes, the strypes, the white stripes, the rolling stones... OMG SO MANY SIMILAR NAMES, LOL ( could probably go on more omg)
When I mention the strypes people are like "The White Stripes?" No, they're great too but nope
And don't forget Stryper. On second thought they're a "Christian metal" band so, actually, it's probably best to forget them.
zamaz99 lol ok
I like these people because they have a passion for good old music. I'm 12 and I'm in a band and we r hoping to get big
Sons of the beatles!
Class act. Saw you at the Lexington earlier this month and now looking forward to the 100 Club in May.
Drummer looks like a mini Dylan haha
A timeless classic will always get you on your feet 😎
this is reall music!!!!!!
these guys have an awesome sound, could be a throwback to 60's- early 70's
死ぬまで俺はストライプスの綱
4 young lads, with guitars and style, The Beatles, deja vu.... class song boys.
For One moment, i believe that this was the new band of Liam Gallagher.
these guys have the right idea, music should be this cool to listen to!
they sound very similar to early 60's beatles & rolling stones
Thanks God, good music still exists.
More like Dr. Feelgood. Good stuff. No stupid indie beards, too.
good to see music isn't dead. :)

There really is some great stuff out there when you look. These guys are fantastic!
Please no more boy bands! Nothing new here at all. It's such an early Beatles ripoff it's pathetic.
STFU. These guys bring some old scent to this gay-pop generation of music I hope they go far.
how is it a beatles rip off? what beatles song have they ripped off? I think youre getting mixed up between 'ripped-off' and 'influenced by'
Had no idea! They have captured that style and era perfectly. Love this band
jesus christ this sucks
Since you like Sonny & The Sunsets, your opinion really doesn't matter.
ksdaman Since you like anything, your opinion doesn't really matter.

There's hype about them because there's mods everywhere. Jake Bugg can fuck off and so can Miles Kane, they look the part but they music's not remotely mod.
Jack Biggs agreeing with you man. have no love for jake bugg or miles kane. These guys are worse I have to say though.
Jack Biggs It's not really mod it is more influenced by rock n roll which is the total opposite of mod Mods and rockers hated each other
Dougie Chalmers You're telling me that this sounds nothing like the R&B that hit Britain in the early 60's. I'm pretty that's what mods are into? I'm a mod and this sounds pretty mod to me??
See the Strypes live for the best experience
My buddy Paul text me the other night to check this band out... first chance I had was right now... awesome!!!! great job guys!
It makes me sick that non-talent arsewipes like One Direction and Justin Bieber get so much media exposure, when a genuine talent like this requires digging through the internet to find and never get anywhere near the praise they deserve. Well done lads, you've restored my faith in the future of music.
