Why not give it a shot? About 5 years ago I was listening to some Boston, Motley Crue, a few other things on my summer playlist too and decided I was gonna go upstairs and pick up the guitar and learn some chords, I'm still playing, I've preformed on stage and with groups before. Practice can be alot of fun
Looking for vids to hear how my Gretsch would sound through a Vox. Saw this thumbnail and thought "oh great probably another dude recording his amp through a phone mic" WRONG. This was legit. Just what I wanted to hear! Very nice, sir. Now I really want a Vox...
First saw this 2 and a bit years ago and just want to say thanks for inspiring me to start playing. I’ve gravitated towards noisier stuff but the occasional blues riff still brings joy.
Smooth cool playing and I'm SO glad I watched as it made me see that the G5422T can rock out as well as sound way cool cleaned up!! Thanks for uploading ....RawkOn
Hello Clint. I have the 2622 Streamliner...my first Gretsch purchase. It will be some time before I can coax the tones out of it that will even get close to your skill level. Thanks for the inspiration and the amazing tones.
So that was stright into the Vox with a little bit of drive? Man great sound. I have a 2015 model. Somehow I think the even newer model pups sound better. Maybe I just need to learn how to dial in some good settings like this.
@@s.trottier3239 Yes, just a bit of drive. I used a Keeley Katana to drive the amp a bit. The mic position makes a difference too, but the amp sounds much better in the room compared to this video.

The real key will be figuring out what to post that people will pay for. I can tell you that accurate GP transcriptions of some of your improvs would be pay worthy. Like your heavy blues or even this one... I tried to download your Heavy Blues video so i could slow it down and learn it - but for some reason I can't download it.
It’s not just the guitar it’s the player
Gifted. Amazing. Hard work pays off.
Damn that Gtetsch sounds fantastic thru a Vox!
Videos like this just make me really want to learn guitar

1:15 - the end, my brain went into a blender.😭🔥🙌🏽
I own the same guitar but different color. I run it throught a marshall and it sond fantastic. Nice playing un G minor
That sounds great. Is it just the amp and guitar, or do you have any pedals involved in the process?

It's not fair to other guitars when you pick up a Gretsch. Thank you brother.
Great jam! Real nice. What dirt pedal were you using?
very nice!
Sound killer - terrific playing and tones.
I'd like to see this played on a Tweed.....!
Superb, guitar and playing!
Great playing!! What would you say is better for the blues, this or a strat?
Such a good player. I wish you would post something instructional. I have several of your videos in my must learn playlist 😊
I've been thinking of how to approach it - ie: Patreon, RUclips? I have a couple on my channel, but I intend to do more.

@@ClintCurtis Definitely GuitarPro - on a side note - I was just able to download your heavy blues video finally.
@@mikemorrison3791 That's great - thanks for the tip on the software, I'll check it out.
GREAT TONE!!! Been looking into getting a Vox! This convinces me further! Great playing! Out of curiosity what strings do you use?
I use D'Addario 10's on this guitar.
Good gravy!!! So good! Bravo to you, Sir! What overdrive are you using? Sounds amazing!
I use a Marshall Guv'nor and also a tube screamer :) thanks!
Great! Amp speaker is blue or green?
Wharfdales :)
@@ClintCurtis So, i think it's time for me to google it :)
@@ClintCurtis I just recently realized those old Wharfedales are actually decent speakers. You just need to crank em!
🥳👌🏻🇳🇴
Kinda has a George Harrison tone, gnarly playing man
looks like santa passed in your house ^^
nice! what gauge strings are you using?
Clint....are you married?
Seems so wrong. Shouldn't it be a Stratocaster? Like heavy metal on a Rickenbacker or C & W on a Flying Vee.. I know it's the player really. 😀
Use a Les Paul for that style, not a Gretsch.
