True, but lots of 361 Big Blocks people assume are 383's..this was for the 1966 model year..361 dropped for the 67 model year. No, not the small block 360 those came out in 1971 in C bodies..
Slick, I'd love to see you get the old Coronet road ready along with interior work and some new Cragars! I myself wouldn't worry with the body work and paint.
Brings back memories. In 1976 I had a 67 Coronet R/T convertible with 440, auto and 3.23 posi, buckets and console. Fun car. Hope you do something with it.
@isaiahellis3716 I caught that as well. You could tell as soon as the hood was popped. Everything was full stock. If it were a small block 318 car someone would have had to had a 440 to cannibalize. My dad had a 440 Magnum Charger. I'll never forget that engine.
you need to do a mini series on getting that thing on the road.... then go round puddin's and blow the doors of his LS pickup... all the best for 2025 boys
That dune buggy reminds me of the one that my Late Dad made in 1969. He bought a running/driving 1952 Plymouth Station Wagon for $25.00.He drove it to my Uncles house and we cut the entire body off using a Skil Jig saw that I still have. Dad thought that the wheelbase was to much so he cut a foot out of it and welded the floor back together. We went a lot of places in it and my Late Mom was scared every time.
@@OKspeedandcustom Yes I do they were taken with a new at the time Polaroid Land camera. The kind that you had to put the picture under your arm to help the picture develop. But I'm not computer savvy enough to send them to anybody. I can do e-mail but if someone asks for pictures. I ask them their address. Cause the post office is gonna bring them. How can I send you some. Can I use the P.O. Box you have listed on your you tube page.?
Great video Slick, keep up the great work and content. Love the will it run videos. Hopefully you get the other Mopar free up, I think it be cool to see it operating again!
MOPARRRR... finally something other than model A and Ts, and a 67 coronet to boot... short story, fastest guy in my hometown had a 67 camaro 327 14:1 comp, numerous other stuff... buddy took his dads coronet with a 440 3:91 sure grip out, stuffed a big ole cam in it, and put a bus length on that camaro... very fun cars
Thanks, Slick I really enjoyed this one. I had an old Dodge Polara. It had a 383 in it two barrel, and it would still squawk the tires shifting into second gear it was considered an old man’s car I traded for it. This was back in 1973. I think it was a 67. Also, I was a Chevy guy I traded that car off pretty quick but I had fun again. I enjoyed the video thanks.
great job!! soak that other engine down with mystery oil! coronet runs great! charlie, only need to spray starting fluid in the primary!! sure old man morske loves the flexy hose! Have a happy new years guys!!
Good afternoon from Cape Cod ⛵ that Coronet is in remarkably nice shape, I can't believe it just started up and idles, yeah it sounds pretty great 👍 keep up the great work and Happy New Year guys 🎆✌️🇺🇲
Hey guys, from Louisville, Ky. I really enjoyed watching this episode. Such a cool old car to work on. I gotta say I love the stuff you do, but Mopars have a special place in my heart. I've had several. Currently, I have a project of my own. Its a 1971 Plymouth Road Runner. Orange and black. Its got a 383, a 4 speed with a pistol grip shifter and a 3:23 rear gear. It needs a lot of work because of rust, but its a labor of love. I might ask you for suggestions. Anyway, I love your channel Keep up the great work.
Yeah I like that car.. it is pretty good shape... FYI puddin used to have a six pack intake manifold... idk if it's for a 440.... He used to have it hanging on the wall of his old shop.... Food for thought...
I ran my fair share of 440, great engine. Get them on the open road an they would run 80m.p.h. all day long. Well a fella would have to stop at a gas station or two😅. TKS for memories.
Hey Slick, those Coronet 440's Came with lot's of engine Options, from Slant 6 on up to a 426 Street Hemi, you could even order them from the Factory to Go Drag Racing, a friend of Mine and his brother campaigned a '66 Belvedere Plymouth, basically same body style with The Plymouth Trim. They convinced their Dad to order it before they were old enough to Drive. , it came from the factory heater delete, and No Warranty, They took the 4speed out put in an Automatic, so Dad drove it for a year, and when His brother got his license, they went Drag Racing. Local Track New England Dragway. That would make a Real Cool Mopar project for you guy's to feature as you go along. Those 440 V8's were Built Beefy! You'll have a Blast with it once you get it Up to par. 👍
The 67 coronet rt and regular coronet came with a 440 but 426 hemi was special order there a cool car you guys need to grab this one if you can get it there worth quite a bit..the 440 was 375 horse power..really you guys need to buy this car you will be super happy if you do the body is awsome most of these and rusted rotten..
that old farm buggy probably has tons of water in it that went down the carb...drop the oil and filter refill it and try again..those old mopars are pretty tough ..that 440 is a nice unit .do the brakes and get it back on the road then throw some juice on it to preserve the patina look and just enjoy it
I'm a Mopar guy, but can appreciate almost all old cars. I don't get the hate for certain manufacturers. I'd love a 440 in my car, I have the baby big block from Chrysler, 361. It goes 0-60 eventually.
I had A 1966 Dodge Coronet 500 with a 383 and 727 automatic transmission! Was the best car I ever owned! They are getting more expensive as time goes on! One day I hope to own another one but right now they are not in my price range! That’s a great car to start with! You could get coronets back in the day with small block or big block engines!
That's a nice coronet. My first car was a 4 dr coronet. It was ugly green and both rear qarters were smashed, but the 318 in it ran good. My brother payed 300 for it and gave it to me. I drove it a while and gave it to my sister. Happy New Year!
Yes the Coronent 440, was the bench seat lower option car, the 500 was all bucket and console higher option car, both where available with 6 cyl all the way up to 440. My first car was a 67 Coronet 500 factory 440 auto matic
Hey slick I'd really like to see you clean that thing up and tune it up that's a real sweet ride great condition it really deserves to be put back on the road would like to see another episode on
The middle of the Coronet line-up was the 440 which was available as a two-door hardtop, convertible, or station wagon. The 440 designation did not indicate engine displacement as commonly assumed
Good holiday video - enjoy watching you have fun on a cold, sunny day. The Coronet was not the model we kids thought was cool in '67 -- more of a 25-35 yr old guy's car. The odd roofline turned off a lot of people, but it's distinctive now and worthy of project. Just don't let it interfere with your full time job...
Yeah it's a Doom Buggy. Forget about it. 😂 That Mopar is a diamond. Crazy. Puddin never had a will it run that easy Happy Blessed new year 🙏 You should load that baby and take it for detailing for your Father in law.
Thats a good $5000 car says a Chevy guy. Always liked that model of Dodge n Plymouths. 1966 and 67 the "Big Three" were in competition with each other to build the fastest and lightest car. With that 440 Dodge hung right in there. Charlie a 68 Camaro came out with a 396 big block. Factry
Slick legendary auto interiors has some beautiful pearl white and black door panels for the Coronet. People wanna see that car running good, patina paint with a nice clean interior. The views from the video will pay for the parts in the first month. The interior parts cost is a investment into your future, seize the opportunity.
Most of the coronets with a big block were 383. More videos on this car would be a definite boost for your channel. I would like to see more on it.
Hopefully we can get to a point to do more to it!!! Thank you!
@OKspeedandcustom I shared the video to everyone I know and got the same response from them.
True, but lots of 361 Big Blocks people assume are 383's..this was for the 1966 model year..361 dropped for the 67 model year.
No, not the small block 360 those came out in 1971 in C bodies..
Me too👍👍
She definitely deserves to get back on the road! Too nice a car. You ok people are spoiled with your clean cars. Here in ky they’re rust buckets
Slick, I'd love to see you get the old Coronet road ready along with interior work and some new Cragars!
I myself wouldn't worry with the body work and paint.
That’s a good idea!
She's deserves the whole shebang, paint especially! ;-)
Those two projects would definitely be a channel booster keep up the good work enjoy the content
Thank you!! We like both of them!
Brings back memories. In 1976 I had a 67 Coronet R/T convertible with 440, auto and 3.23 posi, buckets and console. Fun car. Hope you do something with it.
That’s the American dream!! Wow
Had a great day hanging out with you guys.Thank you for taking me along.
@@XCHANGEDAVE thanks Dave!
Factory 440 , she needs saving. Sweet ride.
Heck of a car!
I saw 440 inside pass dash side
@isaiahellis3716 I caught that as well. You could tell as soon as the hood was popped. Everything was full stock. If it were a small block 318 car someone would have had to had a 440 to cannibalize. My dad had a 440 Magnum Charger. I'll never forget that engine.
What a sweet old car glad you had the opportunity to work on it god bless you and your families and have a blessed and happy new year 😊😊
Same to your and yours! Happy New Year! Thank you!
That car is the text book definition of ATTITUDE .
It’s mean!!
@OKspeedandcustom For it to be mean after setting 22 years . 👀
What a Gem she wants to live!!!!!!!!
Yes!!
She needs to be restored and yes.
Your ratings will sky-rocket!
Hopefully we can do more with it!
you need to do a mini series on getting that thing on the road....
then go round puddin's and blow the doors of his LS pickup...
all the best for 2025 boys
Would love to show him who owns the streets!
Slick ya'll should get that coronet back on the road like ya'll did your Firebird

Thank you. Same to you. Happy New Year!
Had the 68 4dr Newport Custom D with the 383 BB
Thanks for the trip Boys
Sounds like a roadtrip dream car!
Tip for changing plugs, use a UJ and an extension, it will give you better better control and reduce the risk of snapping a plug. Hope this helps.
Thank you Speedy!

@OKspeedandcustom PS keep it away from Jacob we don't need all the wrong tires on a lowered suspension that's from an old rap song LOL
Quick tip to figure out if an unknown engine is a Mopar big block. Distributor in the front and at a 45 angel on passenger side.
Awesome will it run video keep up the great work 👍
Thank you!
That is a nice car, hope to see more of it.
Hopefully!

I knew someone knew!
Pull the fan and use an impact. On the crank bolt.
Nice score!
That can be a great ongoing project!
It’s a good one!
That car has a pretty cool look to it Slick, would be cool to see you try and do something with it. Cool old school hot rod

In 69 you could get the 396 or the legendary 427 😎.
Perfect drag -n- drive car guys!!!!😀🚗
That’s a fact!
