You guys are awesome been watching since day one I passed Charlie on my Harley on 18 Highway he gave me a big thumbs up couple months back I think he was going to that Rod run at Bartlesville area
Loved seeing the pics of little slick on thr banshee, then him ripping it now, but having mamma slick rip it was iceing on the cake! love the life long joy old Yamahas bring. my dad has 6 old Yamaha IT's thr oldest is a 76 400cc and the newest is a '82 250cc i learned how to rebuild everything on them when i was about 8. have restored and ripped a few of them with my dad. taught me a lot about old air cooled 2 strokes!!🏁
2 of the best things every manufacturered Firebirds and Banshee's. I'm the same way when ever I get on a bike, "just getting after it". I get to do it on a daily basis too! 🐲
My first car was a 68 Firebird. Should run fine with a 180 T stat and if the water pump impeller is in good shape, aka coolant if flowing, it's either a head gasket of radiator efficiency issue. I put a Delta Pag Fan assembly in my 62 C10, expensive but the thing is an absolute wind tunnel BUT QUIET moving all that air. Love this car. #memories
Make a list check it twice, never think it “can’t be” something unless you’ve checked it off. Glad to see you being thorough, too cool to go unused… 🇺🇸💪
Im really enjoying your content lately and I see it constantly improving. All that dancing with puddin has helped loosen you up, lol. Love the fire turd, one of my fav cars Ive seen between you and puddins channel. In my mind I can see it complete with interior and it gets me excited.
That 81 250r 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 I had an 82 growing up and bought an 85 later on love those trikes!! I had a 2006 banshee special edition, ported cylinders and timing advance, T5s that thing was a savage, then someone decided to steal it from me while I was out of town, I sure miss that thing, luckily they didn’t get my 85! On my 06 I mixed 40:1 with klotz benol oil and 100LL av gas, or 110 race gas needed for close to 200psi cranking pressures with milled heads, try the oil it’s not cheap but it runs great and it’ll mix leaner being a synthetic a lot of guys mix 50:1 but I ran in the desert on the dunes so I liked it fat and happy! If you ever want this cylinders ported let me know
Banshees are sick! My grandads a huge dirtbike guy, there’s a joke out there, it goes “fourwheeler guys are fourwheeler guys because the can’t ride a dirt bike”! lol! Sick quad my guy. J arms are the shit.
You should try a filter on the driver side valve cover so the PCV can pull fresh air through the crank case. Even if you do not run a PCV I would vent both side. I ran a gutted PCV through a catch can in my big cam SBC (Comp EX292H) and it it made a big difference for me.
You gave us a great laugh when your wheelie shoved you off your quad 😂 If you ever have a time where your kids start to think you are uncool, I hope you remember this. Our daughters are 35 and 29. When they come to visit, they like nothing more than to go outside or into the garage and hang with their dad. Wether it is working on stuff or walking the property. ❤

There is an old racer, Ed Smith, runs Five Star Engines in AZ, is featured a lot on youtuber, Barry T's Garage. Ed talks about running a water hose to the back of the intake manifold to make Pontiacs and other engines run cooler. Don't know if your intake is setup for that or could be tapped to accept a hose fitting. Enjoy your vids and takecare on those cycles. I can vouch gravel/asphalt rash is painful and takes awhile to healup.
I had a 2005 special edition banshee. I ended up crashing it and put myself in the hospital. Cracked my helmet, broke my left collar bone, cracked my left shoulder blade, concussion, crushed my shoulder, very deep bruising on my waist and leg. Ended up rebuilding it after a long recovery. Also launched it off of test hill at the silver lake sand dunes the first time I was there.
I just finished watching my first video of yours. I loved it. You can add another member to your list. Love that Firebird and that Yamaha four wheeler. If you could give me more information on the four wheeler I would love to hunt one down and restore one.
You have to use a HP or other desk top or lap top to see membership tab… not supported by Apple products if that what you are using… I’m a Apple products guy but the wifey has a HP laptop…. Try that..
Good to see you getting some fun time in. I'm working on a 1971 Yamaha DS7, an early 2 stroke street bike from before the reed system. Two Stroke Four Wheeler plus Snow =F'nFun
I can tell your getting comfortable talking to the camera bubba keep up the hard work. I'll be here to watch. You an Puddin are the only two I look forward to watching 😂normal tv sucks.
Wow this is one of your best shows. Slick you got it with the music and the skits. Your a star bro keep up the good work. And the best part of your channel is the love vibes. Your parents did a great job raising you. I gotta buy some merch to support this bad ass channel.
You know I just figured out what the gold Firebird reminds me of. Rockford Files was a gold Firebird Formula. They never offered them in gold. Mr. Rockford.😂
I used one of them testers your buddy used for head gasket leaks. Mine showed no change in fluid, but gasket on bank one had blown out. I can’t explain why it didn’t show change in color.
Hot Damn! That Firebird brings Me back to a Time I Would give all My Tomorrow’s just to Visit a Day. It is Awesome to See Her back on the Road. The Banshee is Reminds Me of another Story, not as Eager to Revisit the Trauma Center! I Broke #2 through #7 and Punctured Lung. You keep it Safe Out There Sir I’ll catch You on the Next One
Another great video from Slick-Fitty!!! Thanks for the entertainment! I would like to send you a really cool old VW Owners Handbook that was published by Floyd Clymer in 1967. It has some really cool (280 pages) info that you might like could be helpful in your quest to build an old air cooled oval!
I really love how the fire turd is just a great driver project it’ll probably one of those cars that you never really finish but that’s okay it’s good to have it still love the channel god bless you guy’s and your families 😊
Hey Slick I have been running Pontiac's my whole life starting back in the early 70's and hade over heating problems for years .Until i started using the (FlowKooler Hi-Flow Mechanical Water Pumps 1622) Summit sales . the really make a big difference I am sure other places sale them to .Thy usably run around $140 bucks .
I work on a 57 Belair it had a 383 stroker in it and it was doing the same thing . I did tge same parts replacement all didn't change any thing so I pulled the intake manifold off and found the coolant cross over ports were plugged
I've been told the 2 cycle oils of today are capable of being mixed at a higher ratio. I always run on gas only to clean the carbs out of the residue before putting my 2 cycles in storage.
All the Pontiac 400s would run hot with a 160 tstat because they wouldn't shut, they needed a 180. Also being an earlier engine the compression may be to high for pump gas.
crank seals on a two stroke are everything when it comes to running right, worn or bown crank seals will make it hard to start and run lean, especially on acceration
Good afternoon from Cape Cod ⛵ I'm really happy that there was nothing wrong with the head gaskets on the firebird. I really like that car hopefully it continues to do all right 👍 look like you had some fun ripping on the Yamaha and even your mother got involved in the fun, Charlie get on the damn thing it's fun 😂 very cool to have Bad Company accompanying your video ✌️🇺🇲
I am not talking. No crap at all man, But I can't stress how much a proper fan in fan shroud does. We used to run a four-bladed diesel fan on a race car. Never ran over 180. We're sheet metal workers and my dad laid out a fitting called a square to round two pieces of metal .. it's a lot of layout . I have a friend that laid one out out of aluminum and it looks so beautiful after it was polished and bead rolled.
I'd say check the compression and carb sync on the Banshee. Worn reeds would give you poor throttle response.. oh and get rid of the "boost" bottle. Great place for air leaks
That an RT1 360 sitting back there I had one of them slick Mine was a 1970 are used to race Honda 750s. I’d beat them up to 70 miles an hour then they would fly by. They were great bikes.

Im getting older now . But i always had Yamahas, I had couple of warriors that were built up to ride in the foothills and mountains of SCand NC. A few Friends had banshees. When in doubt twist and shout 😜 Ps. I like that mixeing jug . Need that for my boat
In canaDUH we test head gaskets 3 ways. 1- Is the oil milkshake? 2- Does it bubble in the radiator when running at temp? 3- White smoke or lots of condensate dripping from exhaust? If any it's gonna be a problem.
Too much grip, not enough slip!! You really wanna land that thing at the top of a tree get yourself a power rad valve. Those Toomey T-5’s are a sweet setup too. Too bad they are as much as a car in price. That’s the reason I went to the 450’s they are way more controllable trust me. I’ve had way too many banshees and it took me that many to learn my lesson. Maybe That scare will learn you too. Lol. Have a good week fellas. Btw Charlie you are really exploring your dj skills, some wins, some losses. The very first song and the end was cool….
