      I'm working on a 96 D21 Kingcab Hardbody. The last owner did some bad body work and I'm building it as project. The body work is the next stage.

      Keep up the good work as the young 1nz need to learn as this skill it is being lost all over the world and the plastic sxxt boxes are trying to take over not in my book they wont it be great to see a full build from start to finish but thats going to take hours to vid and edit but somethink to think about later on 💯🚗🚗🚗👍

    People need to realize that the workmanship Slick does is a dying art this is not a bondo packed repair this takes time and a lot of elbow grease...Remember you get what you pay for!

    Your skill at joining metal and making the joint disappear is incredible! I've seen other car shows where the camera records about five seconds and then - presto, it's all done. Your detailed explanation and full length recording is SO HELPFUL to understand how the process works. I'm really enjoying this!

    Wow. The more you tear apart. The more needs tore out and fixed back to original. Rat Rod Bob is building on a 32 fiberglass hot rod. Always like to watch a good body guy work.

    I like that you really take your time to get really clean results with your metal work. Slick. You could just clear over the bare metal, and it would look better than any paint job.

    These are amazing skills put into this work, you can see how the previous work was all bubbly and full of cavities, but what Slick's done here is SOLID, and would stand up to any factory stamping or welding or even leadwork. Proper process, with good products, combined with taking your time and not skipping steps, is what will always give great results. As they say in music, practice does not make perfect, but perfect practice makes perfect!

    Slick does it the right way,body man fixes . Anyone can slap mud on the car, truck or whatever. Back in the 80s I took a body shop class Mr. Johnson , retired body man taught the class. Old skool , true body man fixes dents wrinkles,bent up panels, any one can slap mud on grind on metal make it look decent.

    I have built hot rods for many years and never needed a 9inc rearend. 8 inc are great and have never blew one up with 450 horse 😂😎

    Some of us are new to this kind of work, so maybe in the future you could explain what some of your special tools do -- like that flat spatula you used after the hammer. Also , please tell us why body men set the panel on that flimsy stand and let it bounce all over while you're hammering on it! Seems like you'd want the working surface to be well secured so you don't hit it wrong.

      Thank you for your comment! The spatula looking thing is actually a body hammer called a slap hammer. The slap hammer has a larger footprint than a traditional body hammer. We will do a better job at explaining more of the tools used in future videos.🙏🏼

    I let go of my 32 pickup when I was a young man. Unfortunately, they are just out of my reach now. I do enjoy watching them be built.

      @OKspeedandcustom yeah, went through divorce at 24 and had to let it go. Life happens. Still love them. I think I paid $750 for the cab and doors back then. It was a deal. Love all the 32 fords but the pickup was my favorite. Didn't matter full body, with or without fenders, regular box, flatbed, heck even a fuel hualer. Just enjoy the look.

    I can tell I'm going to learn a lot on your channel. In the future I would like to see how you go about cutting out rust on fenders or quarter panels and then welding in patch panels.
