Okay, let me tell you something. Not only is the quickest way to enjoy ribs, but it was absolutely delicious. After they were done in the IP, I put them on the grill with BBQ sauce and they were to die for. My family went bonkers and couldn't believe this was done in the IP. You are my fav for IP recipes. You deserve a cooking show!! Hugs!!!!

I made these today for our family's Sunday dinner. I had 7.8 pounds of ribs. Also bought at Costco. Followed recipe exactly. Did 2 batches since I have a 6 Qt. Pot. We are in Minnesota so usually only make in the summer on the grill. My whole family loved these. My first batch cooked 25 minutes, literally was falling off bone, so was hard to get out of pot. 2nd batch cooked 22 minutes, perfect. My family definitely gave thumbs up that we will be doing again! Thank- you!!

I used this recipe and made two racks of baby backs in my 6 quart IP Ultra tonight. I’ve spent my career managing luxury hotels and resorts from the Virgin Islands, to both coasts of the US. Needless to say, I’ve eaten my way around. (LOL) I can’t believe that I’ve just eaten the best baby backs I’ve ever had in my life right here in the cozy comfort of my own home! Amazing!! I’ve definitely had great pressure luck tonight. Thank you so much!

recently my butcher had a sirloin tip steak on sale. for those that don't know this is completely different from the sirloin strip steak. the tip steak comes from the rump & usually sold in a roast or tips for stew meat. so that it cooks for a long time to become tender. i had recently found a recipe that sounded absolutely delicious using sirloin tip steak, but it didn't cook it nearly long enough for it to be nearly tender enough for my abilities. then i remembered this apple juice, vinegar, smoke combination, and hooe it hadn't changed the flavor of the meat. just made it reaaly tender. i did this to the meat Before starting the recipe and it was more tender than a strip steak, but not quite as tender as a ribeye. i could only do a general a little of this a dash of that, and a dollop of that type recipe for the mixture but that's how i usually cook anyway. thannks for the great information. it has helped so much in other areas of my cooking.

Baby back ribs is reason enough to have an Instant Pot, they are heaven on Earth. I've never done it immersed like that, that's more like how I've made pulled pork. I generally rub instant smoke all over the ribs followed by a bunch of spices. Then put some broth in the IP and put the ribs on the trivet to cook. After they're out of the IP, I slather them with bbq sauce and broil them.

Made these several times and they are delish. Was skeptical about boiling/pressure cooking ribs but combined with a broil, they turn out just as good as I can make them on a Green Egg or grill. They are fall- off-the-bone tender. On a lark, I altered the recipe substituting apple juice with 1 liter of Dr. Pepper. I use a slightly spicy BBQ sauce at the end (any BBQ sauce will work fine) and the combination of Dr. Pepper infused (slightly) meat and the sauce make a terrific sweet/salty/spicy taste. Still include slightly less than a quarter cup of liquid smoke and the vinegar with the Dr. Pepper and add 2 TBSP of smoked paprika and 1 TBSP of garlic powder to the liquid in the Instant Pot. Pressure cook 23 minutes with a 10 minute slow release and they're perfect (30-35 minutes with a 10 minute release and the meat is literally off the bone and a little too tender).

So I’ve used this recipe 3 times and it’s sooo good!! However the second time I made it I bought the apple juice but my family got into it and there was barely any left so I had to improvise. I used the little apple juice that was left and then I mixed water with apple sauce and in my families opinion it took it to another level. It was sooo good. The applesauce makes the apple taste a lot stronger in the ribs so if that’s not something that interests you maybe don’t try it, but it you’re curious give it a go!

Just bought the pot last weekend with the hopes of getting our two boys, 12 and 9, to pitch in with family meals. Today, the eldest and I prepped the ribs (slabbed a little of my rub to "dry brine" them - though I doubt they'll need it) and we're waiting for the youngest to come home. You have a new convert to your easy-to-follow recipes as we did the mac and cheese (as an aside, I *ALWAYS* keep Better Than Broth on hand - both beef and chicken. I use it for injection concoctions) Friday night. We might have over-cheesed (if that's possible) it and we used fusili - the boys' choice. Leftovers were gone by Saturday. Thanks, Jeff. Three new subscribers and some more family time for us. Win-Win-Win.

Baby back ribs are probably one of my most favorite things to make in my IP!
I use Stubbs sauce on mine and then broil them for 10 minutes. Then I take them out and coat them one more time in Stubbs BBQ sauce and broil again for another 10 minutes.
I serve them with corn on the cob (cooked in the IP as well) and some mashed taters. DELICIOUS!

i have MADE this.... :) (last night, even...)
I can fit 2 racks in the 6 quart. I cut the racks in half and sort of "file" the ribs into the pot. it makes the 2 tong removal easier. :)
I have smoked, slow oven-baked-in foil and grilled ribs.... the Instant Pot SHAMES all of the other methods.
GREAT video.... you are my favorite IP guru. :)

Great video, lovely family you have, great they did the important taste test.
I've done this recipe twice, without liquid smoke and used a grill to caramelise the BBQ sauce. Anyone who likes 'fall off the bone' ribs the Instant Pot is worth purchasing, just for these ribs. Absolutely Outstanding.

I made your ribs and your Asian noodles with roasted vegetables. I put the Asian sauce for your noodles along with a touch of bbq sauce and brown for the ribs and basted them twice at 5 mins each- I made Asian noodles bowls with the noodles and added soy sauce and rib meat on top with sesame seeds- I actually have those but used everything bagel seasoning- this is a winner!! TY for both recipes!!

I use a propane torch with a sous vide adapter nozzle (keeps unburnt propane off my meat!) to brown these babies, and I find I have better heat control (probably doesn't matter as much with pressure cooked ribs). I also use G. Hughes BBQ Sauce because it tastes a lot like Sweet Baby Ray's but it's sugar free.

Woo Hoo! Great summer recipe choice, Jeff! Ribs were the first thing I made in my pressure cooker and they were truly amazing.... just like yours! I never met I pig I didn't like and pressure cooker ribs are no exception! (Man, that sounded weird!) Anyway, I made a rub for mine that I put on first and since my PC is a 6.3qt, I cut my ribs into 3 rib sections so I could still fit in 2 full racks. Oh and I used beef broth as my only liquid. Once they were done, we brushed on some bbq sauce and my husband threw them on the grill for a couple minutes before serving. Ok, so they were "basically", just like yours... Lol! ;) Delish!!!

Love having the inner pot stainless so I can use my immersion blender right in it without worrying about scratching. It makes potatoes great and fast! Still working on the vegetables, first time came out great, second time I did different ones and they were a little too mushy. Just need to adjust the time. I highly recommend this pot!!!

Anyone have a suggestion on how many minutes in the Instant Pot if you do NOT want them to "fall off the bone". I prefer mine tender but to stay on the bone leaving just a LITTLE bit of "tug" when you bite into them? I did one slab in my 6 qt. for 20 minutes and it still was as "fall off the bone" as you could get. Also, all you need is a cup of liquid. We're not boiling, we're pressure cooking. One guy did 18 minutes but didn't show cutting at end. They did come out of pot in one piece though. Jeff's tip on broiling at the end for charred effect is spot on! I also let them sit for about 45 minutes so they firmed up some before eating. Delicious recipe here! Adjust to less cooking time and less liquid though if you don't prefer ribless ribs.

Right now the style is fussy recipes on the cooking shows. . .when the insanity settles, it will be time for our friend to get his own cooking show. I have never biffed a single recipe from Pressure Luck. Wish I could say 5he same about some of the inter net recipes I’ve tried or other YT cooks. Some were merely not what they were advertised to be. . .other recipes were disaster. . .like ‘Towering Inferno’ disasters. OMG Jeffrey, I LOVE YOU!!!
We recently had a brutally cold & rainy day for this area. I'm new to the world of Instant Pot & it was way too cold & nasty to go out to eat; so, I dug through my freezer & found a pack of ribs. I wanted to experiment cooking the ribs in my new IP. Did my search & here is where I landed. Your suggestion of adding the Liquid Smoke was genius & took a good meal & turned it into a GREAT meal!!! I've been known to be out grilling in a foot of snow; so I loved your idea of getting similar grilling results from the comfort of my warm home!!! In place of finishing them off in the oven, I put them in my hot air fryer & they crisped up nicely!!! I live by myself; so, the air fryer was perfect for crisping up just enough for myself. The oven would be perfect for a large group like your family. With the very first bite, I slapped myself because I hadn't thought of it before!!! Needless to say, I will be eating ribs a lot more often now!!! It will still be the perfect meal in the summer when the heat & humidity is going through the roof & I can cook in the comfort of my A/C without heating up my kitchen!!!
    THANK YOU!!!

After taking out the ribs I added 10 grain rice, coconut milk and seasonings. cook on high for 20 minutesand natural release for 7 minutes. Turn the instant pot off for natural release or rice will stick to the bottom. Won't be fluffy rice but it will be hearty.

followed this recipe last night... ribs were not just "falling off the bone"... they were FALLING APART. Think I'll back off on the cooking time in the future... maybe 20-25 minutes tops... I like a little chew in my meat... these had pretty much turned to mush. I also think I'd back off on the liquid. Have seen other recipes where they used just a cup of apple juice/cider to steam/pressure cook the ribs, & put them on the trivet to keep them out of the liquid. Nothing wrong with this recipe... was good... but need to adjust it to my tastes. Not sure if it was because I used an 8 quart Ultra or not.

“You don’t even need teeth to eat these ribs “. I made these, and my husband made ribs on the smoker... WINNER! I have braces and the difference was incredible! Fall off the bone and SO GOOD! Making it for all gatherings when we can have them!

I always put a dry rub on my ribs and don’t use as much apple juice. I do add the liquid smoke also. Always very good.

LOVE your videos! Full of great information and enthusiasm. Can't wait to try this recipe. Maybe I'll get out tomorrow after the storm settles. I know the owners of Sweet Baby Rays, they have a summer home in my Cape Cod town. Nice people, great sauce. Thanks Jeff!
