@@stillnotchill2560 Although Im not sure about the state of the game, the waiting still went in vain. I was pretty excited for the release but then it came and i still haven’t played it yet. Same thing happened to me with XDefiant, the game was close to releasing, i was pretty excited, then the game came out and all my excitement and want to play the game just disappeared.

Gonna be honest. For me what killed it were the janky hitboxes that instead of the devs fixing them, they prefered to add more characters and stuff to the battlepass.

I think they were just super under prepared and wb might've gotten impatient
The main issue with the hit boxes was the coding, and since it was a beta and wanted people to get a feel for the game and what it brings they avoided making that change until they closed the beta so they wouldnt have stress from people being on the servers.
I never liked how the teams had solid color silhouettes
You could’ve changed your color if u we’re confused I ended up changing mine to pink

Smash is the best game of its kind and it’s going to remain that way for a long time if not forever, because it celebrates a mocked and disrespected medium, Brawlhalla is closer to the Smash Killer than Multiversus because it has video game crossovers like Shovel Knight, but no game will dethrone Smash Bros. If you honestly think that a random game that shows up out of nowhere in Beta is going to become more popular than the 20+ year long Titan of the genre, then I don’t know what to tell you, because it’s not going to happen. If any game is going to dethrone Smash, it will take decades and multiple installments. No giant of video games will be brought down overnight; that’s just not how video games work.

Ehh. It was a great game with potential. The content, flaws, and performance issues is what made people jump ship. It was a definitely a fad game that became easily forgotten.

A free to play live service version of Super Smash Bros was destined to fail. Like Smash is 10x better than multiverses (they should be they’ve been making it for decades) and I don’t even play smash everyday which is what a live service wants from you, there’s just not enough dedication when the only thing you get for free is some XP or occasionally some gold while everything else is useless. Idk I just feel like this should have been a normal game and not a live service with a battle pass and they would have done much better.

Man I remember that, mfs was really out here first saying Nickelodeon All-star Brawl was gonna be the "Smash killer" and look at it now, then they said that Multiversus was gonna be the "Smash killer" and look at it now. People were claiming that any new shiny platform fighters were gonna be "Smash killer" because the company behind them have many quite large IPs like Nintendo but crucially they don't have the legacy that Smash built up throughout the years.

The only “smash killer” I can see is if you have BOTH Marvel and WB characters in one game. Just not by “Player” first games.

They're going to shut down the server for a year but you can still play Training mode and local matches.
i was top 300 solo jake player cant wait to play this game again.
The beta is closing in June and will be available in early 2024 as a completely fledged game

I don’t think anyone comprehended that the devs said that it was just a beta and that it would shut down before the official launch. Everything they did was basically a long test to see how everything plays out what works and what doesn’t.
It’s a fun game but they need bout 8 more new levels and about 15 new characters to keep us engaged with new events
