Thanks a lot for the tutorial, my soldering was shaky at best and some of those points are horrible if you haven't soldered before but now it's working and the boot times are quite good. I guess x360 modding is a bit of a dying art nowadays but I appreciate all your tutorials on the subject, going to crack on with installing all the software tomorrow.

It's not hard to understand every little part of this motherboard, find a schematic at it and just read up on it. Also you need to know what all parts do and things like that but google is your buddy.
Um gotta question does anyone else watch a video like this a get motivated to try an do it but then almost immediately fail? Like I can't get the fucking solder balls to stick to the motherboard. At all. His seem to have a decent amount of solder before starting and on my console doesn't have any fucking solder where the points go so it's fucking hard to do anything I sat here for 20 minutes trying to get the fucking wires connected and I gave up after that.
Yeah you need to be using plenty of flux and if you mess the points up so much that they are just black then clean them up with rubbing alcohol before you do another attempt. I would also recommend you get a good quality soldering iron with adjustable temperatures and changeable tips. A lot of the irons you get that plug directly into the wall are poor quality. Basically its a lot easier with the right equipment.

How much would one be that doesn't plug into a wall? I again tried but still. The yellow wire won't stick to it at all and it was the only one that had any existing solder on it. Blue and green wouldn't stick. So again. Gave up. I figured maybe the only issue I'd run into was the NAND some how corrupting. But no. I can't get wires connected.
One thing you did wrong your iron meant to be on the point to tin the point and then slowly move off, otherwise you get balls on the tip, and that aint good.

morpheous fletcher well coronas are the special motherboards, u need a bit extra stuff to get the job done. Try looking up corona rgh2 install or corona v1-v6 rgh install

okay so I did everything successful but when I was booting up the console into xell to get the CPU key it just glitches for like 5 mins and never booted to xell. do you know why it would just keep glitching (flashing green light on cool runner )

But the solder won't stay soldered. I got to solder the one hole next to it, but not the one I needed to solder. Can you help?
This is a great tutorial but why does everyone strip back the insulation SO far? 9:21 All that excess wire makes it much easier for something to get shorted out. I noticed Dopesoner did his the same way.. Anyways, that's my one and only critique of an otherwise very helpful video :)

Every time I read MB it finds Jasper 256MB (which is right) then changes to Trinity & tells me header is wrong. I also get the same 3 bad blocks every time and it tells me too many bad blocks. I've checked and re-checked and re-did solder points to the point of OCD.
i bought a J-R programmer and did a direct wire install and soon as i apply power the light on the programmer only flickers 1 time and not multiple times and when I connect the jr programmer to my computer it says can't find device what do i do???

I think that the chip is programmed for a trinity as its actually used more on a trinity than on a Corona.

hello i have an original xenon. i did a xclamp fix because it had rrod its good now. ive read that the xenons had a capacitor on CPU_RST that was removed in later models. can i follow your EXACT tutorial here to rgh it or will i have to do extra wiring/soldering to rgh it?
It most likely will, considering this is a hardware-based modification that (for as far as I know) can not be patched by software. Just make sure your console is compatible by searching for the Xbox Idenfitication chart, and you should be good to go!

Definitely not the cheapest. Using LPT instead of a programmer is much much cheaper. Also, Coolrunners are expensive. The x360 Ace or Matrix are better choices(all do the same thing)

Yes you can get it from the link in the description, if your really stuck there's clones on Aliexpress for under half the price but I wouldn't recommend it.

use flux dude its not optional you need it and you also need to put solder on the wire tooooooooOoOOOoooOOOO

What solder gun did you use? Seems to work nice.
I did everything the same and the programmer does not turn on when connecting the motherboard to the power supply.

Jrunner is supported by Win 10, you will need a dual boot with Win 7 or another computer with Win 7.
