Thank you so much for the mention. That video i shot was hard for me to do. Loosing your wing man/person is sobering for some folks. Life changing for others. You offer some on point advice to not let the sun set on bad feelings. Reach out and mend those bridges. Life is short! Eric

Don’t take stuff to the grave…solid advise Smitty. Dealing with loss is hard for those left behind. When they pass, they pass…your feelings stay with you. Make those good feelings. Good topic man!

Yes I have, I lost my wife of 18years to Overian Cancer in November 2023. I am still dealing with heartache and such. I have not touched any of her things and don't really feel like it right now. I am keeping faith and trying to stay positive.

Man I’m so sorry. I can’t even begin to imagine how you feel. My wife and I have been married for 18 years and the thought of losing her is devastating.
I know it sounds corny but like you said, staying positive and look forward to better times in the future. Do your best to enjoy life and honor her memory. I’m sure that’s what she would want you to do. To live life and treat each day as a gift. Keep your head up my friend and thank you for sharing your story.

Great video Smitty. It’s not just for the people who has lost recently but have experienced loss in the past. It’s been awhile for me since I have lost but it’s still a hard situation. My thoughts are not only reach out to those people who mean something, take the time to go see them. Bury whatever hatchet is between you. Life is too short!

Well said Smitty. I've lost more than a few people the last few years, and this week marked the 1st anniversary of my old friend's death on his motorcycle last year of a heart attack. I lost a cherished cousin last year to Covid. I guess as time goes on it will get more and more frequent. I keep seeing all my rock star favorites dying off and some of those are hard to accept (Bowie, Charlie Watts, Eddie Money, Eddie Van Halen, etc.). One of these days it will be a really big one like Mick or Keith, Paul or Ringo, Steven Tyler, etc., and those will really hurt. I personally have come to realize the importance of making my feelings known and letting people know I care about them. And I'm doing just that.
A former good friend of mine disowned me a couple years ago when I wouldn't take sides in a dispute between him and a mutual neighbor of ours. I had no animosity toward him. He came over last night after two years of ignoring me, and said his GF was kicking him out, he couldn't afford rent anywhere, and he'd be losing his childhood home. I told him if he wants to be friends again, I'd welcome him back with open arms despite the situation, and he agreed. So maybe I'll get a friend back. He was near tears, and he's never shown much emotion, so I knew he was in a bad place.
The other side of this is to get and keep your financial affairs in order with a durable power of attorney, a will, a living will, life insurance and making sure beneficiaries are current, etc. We all hate doing this because it's unpleasant to think about and usually costs money, but it helps tons when something unexpected happens. I'm working on that now at my sister's urging after our other sister suffered a stroke early this year.
Good topic. Tongue click and fingers pointed back atcha. 👉🥃🎵🎧👍🌮🏍🏍🏍😎🕶🍺☝🥓🍔🐶😜
P.S. Just ordered a set of Metzeler ME 888's for the Valk!

super glad you liked it bud 👊🏻
there really is never a convenient time to pass. Something that has always stuck with me was, i was attending a former colleagues funeral and his wife was speaking to a similar subject as this video, she said:
"If you would of called me the morning that Mike passed away and asked me, What is the worst thing in the world that could happen today, I would have said not making this big sale i was working on, The day he passed was the worst day of my life and I took it for granted"
I was shopping for Christmas gifts when my dad went into the hospital for the last time.
When i got the call instantly i thought "ok, we'll head that way but he'll probably be out by the time we get there" (he'd been in the hospital about 30 times that year)
When he didn't come out, up until that day, it was the worst day of my life, and I took for granted he was gonna come home.
