One time I flew off of the halfpipe at the end at a weird angle and it forced me to fly uncontrollably onto the top of the other halfpipe. When I hit the top of that I bounced and turned at a 90 degree angle. Then Lakitu counted me out of bounds. Idk if that is the glitch or just some halfpipe shenanigans. Sorry if I couldn’t help.
