This truly touched my heart. My Dad was a Mariner from 1936 till 1952. He served during WW2 and I'm thankful that he made it back home... so many did not. GOD BLESS YOU ALL who worked to make this moment possible and the USMM is finally getting the recognition that they so justly deserve!! I wish my Dad was still alive to witness it.

My Dad was a Merchant Marine in WWII. Died in 1996, but I know he’s smiling down today seeing this memorial dedication! 😢🇺🇸😢❤️
