Great job on your first stump Chris 😁👍 that looks like a great investment for future stumps. I guess I better start saving for one. Thanks for the video 🚜💨🍳
Thanks Mitch. It was tons of fun! I could DEFINITELY see you putting one of these to use out on your property! Start saving those pennies... Happy Holidays. 🎄❄🎅👍
Chris- you did a great job - especially for a first time. And hey, that's why they give you a slip-clutch LOL! And great question about the tooth - here, every single stump I have removed (stump bucket, BH, excavator) has the roots wrapped around rocks. Its the main reason i have never further considered a stump grinder. Looking forward to hearing your research. Cheers - great job my friend!
Thanks for watching and the kind words Gord. I sure did give that slip-clutch a workout. (I can take some solace though, in the fact that Ed did the same with his! 😉) It was great fun using the WG24 and I feel like I learned a lot just in that first outing. More fun to come!!! I guess this will be about the closest I get to a snow blower! Cheers!
I purchased a Woodland Mills Chipper and agree with you on the manual. Their manuals are the best that I have encountered. Not only are they in colour but they are well thought out.
@@watershedoverlookHello Chris, I like your videos - have you added a bolt on cutting edge to your bucket? My original B2601 bucket did not have the required holes for a bolt on edge so I had to drill them (tough work) - I had to sharpen the drill bit a few times - the Kubota dealer did not have an edge for my 54” bucket but they gave me a sweet deal one for a much larger tractor that I cut to length. Anyways you should get one for you bucket as it does not appear you have one - I purchased the wheel spinner you showed in your top five accessories video and love it - great for loader work.
Thanks for showing this we all have these little issues but most videos edit them out. Nice to see a real world video. Makes my decision to buy one easier.
New subscriber here, but I've had my WG24 for about 4 months now. Have ground well over 100 stumps large, small, hard, soft, green, and dry. Once you get over the visibility issue (I look under my left shoulder and can see the 6-9 o-clock position of the grinder wheel), and a feel for how much you can bite into different wood types, you will absolutely love that thing. I know I do. I run mine on an L2502 Kubota. I did get a back-up camera which helps a lot with preventing a sore neck if you have a lot of stumps to do (I once did over 50 in a day - leveling the soil the next day), but it isn't absolutely necessary for an occasional stump or two. Happy grinding.
Thanks for subscribing! Yeah, I learned a lot with that first stump. I think next one will go better. I'm always a little too eager to go down a technology rabbit hole, but if visibility remains an issue, I probably will rig up a camera of some sort. Thanks for watching. 👍
Clearly, I didn’t fully read the instructions. I didn’t think to use the extra hole at the top link to store the pin. Perfect. Also I was thinking “is he going to slip the clutch like I did?” That was a pretty big stump! Great job, Chris. I think that stump grinder has already 8% paid for itself. It won’t take long!
Thanks Ed. Definitely a bit of a learning curve, but I'm confident the next one will go quicker. It's not only fun to operate, but like painting, you get instant gratification! Thanks for watching and the kind words. Happy Holidays! (Loved the Farmall, BTW. 👍)
Job well done Chris 👍🏻, I’m sure you’ll get used to it fairly quickly. It must be satisfying when you see the stump is gone with some nice mulch covering it 👍🏻🙋🏼♂️🙂🥃
"Satisfying" is exactly the right term, Luc. Great fun and instant gratification! I look forward to honing my skills. Thanks for watching, and Happy Holidays to you and yours my friend. 🎄❄🎅🥂😎
Nice work Chris, watching yours and Ed’s videos on this I now know that my used grinder didn’t have the PTO shaft slipped. 😮. Working nights have fun tonight! 😊🍻🌴
Thanks Phil. FYI, I need to bring it and the tractor home from the Overlook sometime soon to take care of a few things here. I'll bring it out if you want to see it in action.
I recently purchased the WG24 and really like it. I copied the backup camera idea I saw on Timber Visions channel. It is well worth the purchase of the camera. I modified his idea slightly and mounted the camera on a Slate River game camera mount. I can point the camera precisely where I want to.
Haha Nice a chainsaw holder! Good thinking on their part. Excellent first use video on the stump grinder, and maybe we all learned something. Cheers, Mike
Good Evening Sir 😇👍👍 Yes it is dark going up and coming back from work Nov, Dec and Jan are like that 🥴 Nice elevator music for removing that pin 🎵🤣👍 THAT IS SOOOOOO OUTSTANDING FUN Sir ( Stump Magic Cutting !!! ) 🤣👍👍Here goes nothing 🤣👍👍Slow Win The Race and that clutch save you a lots of problems 👍😇👌Practice make perfect Sir 👌😇👍 That is a strange stump grinding teeth story 🤔🤣👍Nice ending Cheers 🍻🍻
It does look like a great machine and I think you did a great job. The garden looks so much better without the stump. The lack of visability looks to be an issue, a remote camera may help.
Yeah, I know some folks have rigged up cameras. I tend to go a little overboard on stuff like that, so I'm gonna' see if I can refine my skills. If it remains an issue I likely will implement some sort of electronic solution! Thanks for watching Joseph. Happy Christmas to you and yours...🎄🎅❄👍

@gregorymacneil2836 That's funny...just last weekend I was thinking about adding an edge for my bucket. Its definitely on the list!
Totally agree about the manual Chris.
Kudos to Woodland Mills for that.
It appears that Woodland Mills is a first class company
I'm impressed so far, Gary! 👍

BTW, I didn't see the "pin storage" in the manual. I may have picked that up along the way during my pre-purchase video consumption!
I’ve been waiting for this! Was just thinking about you yesterday. This is my pre-watch comment 😄👍
