Honey I'm a beginner when it comes to embossing I needed this desperately thank you for taking the time to show us exactly how to do the place the folders which sheets to use that made it incredibly easier for me it is a great tutorial thing crafting a long time but this is something I've never been confident with and I could not tell by the pictures what I was using this is the tutorial I needed I've got your first one show me how to use my die cuts and I've got this one they're both filed under my Gemini tutorials I love this thank you from the bottom of my heart sometimes you can teach an old dog new tricks look at me LOL hugs love and kisses and blessings to you always and I thank you again from the bottom of my heart sweetie
Thank you, thank you, thank you...new to embossing and never used my gemini junior, although brand new and have had it for 12 months..Have watched a few u tube clips but still felt too nervous.....until i watched this clip.....it was clear, every step i could see what u did which gave me the confidence to use my machine. *I don't have a machine. I just bought the cheapest Die cut that came with a embossing folder. It was 40% off. I'm playing around with things I can use at home. I found my big rolling pin & trying other things. Still learning what works best. That is a cute.....machine!!! I Love your videos you have a totally Awesome channel!!!🤗🤗🤗*

I have a crank one that looks like a purse. I think I may have used it twice. Would you mind explaining the magnetic shim? Is it to keep the 3D folder in place?
I thought that was odd too, to have the magnetic shim in there when there is nothing medal is odd but maybe it’s for its thickness. I checked with the manual and that is what it says. I’m going to look that up again and get back to you because it is odd now that you mentioned it. 🤗💕

Your demo was wonderful but I have a 3D embossing folder made by sizzix and I tried using the plate configuration that you showed and my embossing folder came out all curled up and the Gemini wanted to keep spitting it out and it did not work. Have you ever tried the sizzix and is it a different sandwich that you use?
With the thicker 3d embossing folders you have to use a thinner sandwich. It’s a matter of trial and error with the plates and sandwiches. You never want to force anything through or have it too tight because it will ruin or curl your dies. You want to make the sandwich so it is just snug but not too tight if that makes sense . I hope that helps. Let me know if I can help more.
I just got my Gemini Jr and am struggling to emboss using a folder. The machine sucks in the clear cutting plates, but won't allow the folder to go through. It gets stuck and I have to back it out. I am using the embossing folder that came with the machine. Do you have any suggestions for me? I hoped your video would help me learn how to do this, but my machine does not function like yours.

this is a great tutorial, but the rubber piece cut in the shape i wanted it to be. i guess you need to put a magnet on
