Fabulous video Debbie - loved the tour of the Sizzix embossing products - embossing is one of my favourite techniques and I think Sizzix make the best - just a quick question - could you use the diffusers with the 3D embossing folders - could you use the 3D embossing folder straight onto the platform ( no plate) then the 3D embossing folder with card inside - then the diffuser on top - would this work ? - tempted to try
Unfortunately, this would be quite difficult to DIY and I don't think that it would be financially viable to design one via a manufacturer to work with the Sizzix machines just for personal use.
Just found these videos. When my Mum passed I found a Vintaj Big kick machine amongst her craft supplies. I had never seen her use it. Does anyone know if any type of thin tin or metal can be used to impress patterns?

Really helpful video, but when I use two cutting plates with the embossing folder it doesn't go through my big shot. Am I doing something wrong. Best wishes. Jo
Hi Jo! If you are using a Multi-Level or 3D Embossing Folder you will only need one cutting plate in order to make it go through the machine. Hope this helps!
I'm having the same problem with my brand new Sizzix Big Shot. Using the actual Sizzix embossing folder like you showed in this video with the two cutting plates, it will NOT pull it through the machine. Using only one cutting pad it isn't thick enough and it just slides through without touching the rollers. The only way I can get it to work is to use shims and the die adapter and one cutting plate. I shouldn't have to stack so many different things for simple embossing.
