What other arcade games that never got ported to a home platform should we check out? Oh and that we didn't already cover in the other Left in the Arcade episodes (playlist link in the description).
IGS has plenty of arcade games that sadly never got a home port. Remember Capcom's D&D side scrollers? IGS had 3 clones! Oriental Legend (had 2 games last I checked, based on Journey to the West), Water Margin (only had ONE game, exrremely rare) and Knights of Valor (3 games, based on Romance of the Three Kingdoms). KOV was quite popular here in Asia back in the day, with 2 Nine Dragons lasting as long as Shadow Over Mystara in the local arcade. That's 8 years - It lasted till arcades themselves died out! Play this if you don't mind the rough English translation; I'm thankful I know how to read Chinese. :3 One other fighting game series which I don't see in a console port is Asura Blade by Fuuki. Crazy balls to the wall hard because of difficulty scaling. The first game in particular had some stuff that wasn't there in the second game - some characters would purposefully allow you to throw their weapon, changing their moveset entirely (just like Far East of Eden, Kabuki Klash). But even without that mechanic, you have a fast paced fighting game that's basically something that rivals Marvel Super Heroes (back in the day).
Game Sack Please check out CarnEvil I think by Midway - a really fun and original and humorous light gun game that I waited and waited to see a home port of, but it never came!!
I don't remember you covering Demolish Fist, a fairly by-the-numbers but still fun 2.5D side scrolling beat-em-up from Sammy. Ran on the Naomi 2 hardware, but I never saw a home port of it.
Honestly, @Gamesack is the closest thing to 90s video game review shows that I find on RUclips, been subscribed for 4 years and can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday morning. One of the most polished and informative review shows on the internet. Thanks for the consistent uploads throughout the years.
You're raising her right. Now all you gotta do is get her an NES, Sega Genesis, Master System, and like 50 video cartridges and never let her play anything past 1999. I'm 17 years old and that's literally my life by decision. I hate my entire generation so I live in the 80's and 90's.
Matt Ring Hey thanks man I appreciate that. The dream would definitely get her to start on the classics I played as a kid and go on from generation to generation. There are so many old titles to appreciate and I'm glad you've chosen to immerse yourself in that era. Too much fun to be had!
Buddha Fresh yeah, maybe when she is old enough (yet still impressionable) show her The Wizard. Great advertisement for Ninten- I mean film about a kid who is good at video games.
Ronad McGonald I ain't talking about PlayStation 1&2. No, no. I'm talking about the REAL classics from the 80's. Nintendo. Sega Master System. Arcade games. Sega Genesis. Maybe even some Japanese-exclusive games for the Famicom. Anything past 1995 is new.
Been watching you guys for about a year, and I just wanted to drop a line and say thanks for making these videos. You two, along with Metal Jesus and his co-hosts, are the top two gaming channels to me. No schtick, just buds talking about games. You've exposed me and tons of other folks to obscure, underrated, or just plain old good games from varied genres and systems, and when I can track them down (legitimately or not) I love giving them a playthrough. Keep up the good work!
I played it in my local bowling alley back in the day, it wasn't there very long, i might have been the only person that played it lol. The japan rom is worth a playthrough, it has some enemies that were taken out of the U.S. release, and the gun never runs out of ammo.
These are one of my favorite series of any RUclips channel. So strange to see so many great games never ported to a home console or PC. I am loving all the beat em ups showcased here. I am stunned there is another Joe and Mac game that was never ported. I love that series!
I dont know how many rare beat em up vids i watched on youtube, and you guys found two right off the bat that i never saw. Glad you put more beat em ups on here and not just aerial shooters.
Bullet hell games work like this You have a center hit box, the bullet hits you there, you die the bullets also have a center hitbox, you can touch any part of the bullet except for your hitbox and the bullets hitbox. Dont touch your center on the white parts of the bullet.
Crime Fighters also had a four player version. To make it more of a quarter muncher, the four player version replaced the regular health bar with Gauntlet-style countdowns. This meant that even if you played the game perfectly, you'd still have to continue after a stage or so. This also made it a bit more maddening when you had to wait for a boss to perform an attack that made it particularly vulnerable, as you effectively took "damage" just for standing around.
Crime Fighters is just not a good game in my opinion and only average at best. The hit detection is horrid and the enemies are super cheap sometimes. Def overrated by dave here.
i play joe and mac back in mexico arcades, there this asians driving 2 long trucks with arcades that came to town on thanks giving to new year. they always bring wird stuff.
matt ford yes, but those are straight arcade ports. They were still left in the arcade and never got ports on consoles of the time, so they still could be used.
while I agree with you that arcade games that didn't get a port within 10 years and are straight up emulated on consoles - shouldn't really count as ports, this series is for games you'll never get to play without mame or the original PCB hardware.
matt ford - I remember the Producer of the PS3/360 The Simpmsons Game stating that The Simpsons: The Arcade would be included as an unlockable, but that sadly never happened.
Awesome show as always. Btw Joe's brow ridge reminded me of a documentary about Neanderthals I recently watched. It probably came to mind because that cave man game.
You could make these an hour and I would watch every single one. Getting my retropie tomorrow loaded with arcade games and I've been watching your videos all weekend preparing.
Games I don't think ever got ports: A.B Cop Acrobatic Dog Fight Arabian Fight Dragon gun Dungeon Magic Ginga Ninkyouden Halley's Comet (the sequel got a famicom release) Kingdom Grand Prix Mad Motor Monster Maulers Neo Mr Do Tecmo Knight The Glob Thunder Ceptor Thunder Ceptor 2 Violent Storm Wizard Fire
I'm very impressed with this episode. I would have played all these games back in the day if I saw them in local arcades. Not one of these I've ever seen.
I literally came to the comments to either see if this was mentioned or make mention of it myself. What a great bundle as well, it comes with the English and Japanese versions of each game.
Great episode but damn it you guys need to cover Great 1000 Miles Rally, one of the best isometric racing games ever made. I have the PCB set but sadly it died not long ago.
I remember another like that, "World Rally Championship" Where you drive the Toyota Celica that Toyota cheated with, I remember I saw that several places.
I remember finding a dark corner of the arcade and playing grab ass with my best buds, back in the day. Though it was more our choice that it never left the arcade, so maybe that doesn't qualify for your list.
I think you guys made an error when talking about Martial Master when you stated that Street Fighter 3 runs on the CPS2 board. Street Fighter 3 runs on the CPS3 board. Awesome video though......
Ehh, not as bad as you might think. I sat down with it a few years back and gave it a chance, and it actually is quite a bit of fun. While it doesn't have the depth of, say, Street Fighter 3, it's still a decent game in it's own right.
kakashi101able I'm thinking it would be hard to go that in depth about boxes and overlays where you keep score on a notepad? Not downplaying its importance, but the episode would probably max out around 10 to 15 min. And they want to show games consoles (including arcade machines) that they have interest in themselves, and the story of the Odyssey is interesting, but the games are hard to talk about gameplay for too long.
@Retrogaminginsanity Fanboy didn't actually read my post, I did show respect, and you still can't explain how to make the gameplay of 2 boxes on a screen be talked about for more than 10-15min. Any other random outbursts with nothing to explain?
Aww yeah! new Game Sack in a lazy Sunday morning! Time to brew some coffee, make two big grilled cheese sandwiches and watch you guys! Seriously it is the highlight of my Sunday mornings when there is a new video, thank you for keeping making them! Also, wow! Great games, sadly I didnt even knew about most of them, and I am a pretty big fan of fighting games and Beat'em ups, specially at the time period of the 90s, arcade games were my life and when not hunching over an arcade cabinet playing fighting games and beat'emups I would be at my house, playing the same kind of games on my SNES :D
GAMESACK I FUCKING LOVE YOU... but i remember asking like a year ago, and u did reply, but can you please teach us how to remove old stickers from boxes? i have a mint condition yoshi's island in the box and theres a huge sticker... i will only trust it if u do it...
IDK if you have ever heard of him, but Lazy Game Reviews does a good video on this, and The 8-Bit gamer has one too. They have similar manners to Game Sack, and I feel like these guys would approve. But, nothing wrong with getting advice from them! Hope this helps!
What other arcade games that never got ported to a home platform should we check out? Oh and that we didn't already cover in the other Left in the Arcade episodes (playlist link in the description).
im on rotating shifts at work and my sleep pattern is all wonky. its 4 am here and i see a new gamesack episode and i say NICE! So stoked!
Hi, have an idea for left in arcade 6 - why dont feature racing games left in the arcade? Pretty cool t-shirts btw :)
IGS has plenty of arcade games that sadly never got a home port. Remember Capcom's D&D side scrollers? IGS had 3 clones! The best Gaming show online.
For sure.
I'm glad Dave and Joe represent the LGBT community by doing the show both as co-hosts and lovers.
Game sack more lik game suck lool
lol
How many channels did you post this on?
Honestly, @Gamesack is the closest thing to 90s video game review shows that I find on RUclips, been subscribed for 4 years and can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday morning. Nothing pleases me more than when the guys have a fresh sack.
Whenever my daughter sees my SNES, she yells game sack! Your youngest fan is a 2 year old.
iLoveCandiLynn very funny and aweful at the same time. Just like Game Sack :p
You're raising her right. Now all you gotta do is get her an NES, Sega Genesis, Master System, and like 50 video cartridges and never let her play anything past 1999. I'm 17 years old and that's literally my life by decision. I hate my entire generation so I live in the 80's and 90's.

Left in Arcades and Left in Japan are my two favorite series of yours! Just made my week!
The amount of moves you can make in guardians is amazing its almost like a fighting game sometimes...
One of the best
I really respect you guys’ show. You concentrate on the subjects that YOU want to talk about; not anyone else.
Thank God, hey guys chill, Misspelled Rodney respex yuns
Has ANYONE ELSE wondered what Dave was laughing about as Joe sat down? For real? Dave. What was so funny...
as usually, when its 2am on a saturday and you need almost 30 minutes of something good to watch, gamesack always comes through
Left In The Arcade: Beat 'Em Up Edition, love it!
YES! A NEW EPISODE ON MY BIRTHDAY! You guys make episodes so far apart, I'm getting heart broken.
Can't wait for Left in Arcade 6, love the high quality recordings
Been watching you guys for about a year, and I just wanted to drop a line and say thanks for making these videos. That thumbnail takes me back! It should be your official channel picture.
It's always a good day when a new Game Sack episode is uploaded.
I used to play Crime Fighters in the lobby at my local Walmart! Loved that game
I played it in my local bowling alley back in the day, it wasn't there very long, i might have been the only person that played it lol. The japan rom is worth a playthrough, it has some enemies that were taken out of the U.S. release, and the gun never runs out of ammo.
Definitely the greatest YT video thumbnail I've ever seen. Well done, sirs :D
SmokeMonster agree!
This is why the arcades reined supreme in the 80s and 90s.
Reigned
GamingTV not even close.
Retro Game Players Rained 🌧
These are one of my favorite series of any RUclips channel. So strange to see so many great games never ported to a home console or PC. I am loving all the beat em ups showcased here. I am stunned there is another Joe and Mac game that was never ported. I love that series!
Pretty NEAT!!
Many of the fighters from "Martial Masters" seem to be actually named after various styles of Kung Fu!!
RockmanSam I noticed that too!
I dont know how many rare beat em up vids i watched on youtube, and you guys found two right off the bat that i never saw. Glad you put more beat em ups on here and not just aerial shooters.
Bullet hell games work like this

BainesMkII - I want Crime Fighters on a home console or handheld!!
Crime Fighters is just not a good game in my opinion and only average at best. The hit detection is horrid and the enemies are super cheap sometimes. Def overrated by dave here.
You guys do good work.
I'm so thankful that we did finally get Battle Chasers to play at home. It's become one of my favorite beat em ups.
You just give everyone the best hidden gems on Mame and kudos for this guys.
This has become my favorite channel and I've enjoyed binge watching the videos for the past few days.
I wish we would've had a console port of Willow the arcade game. damn licensing.
Your wish is granted. We didn't get a port of Willow the arcade game. The Willow game on NES is great though.
Brande X - Lol!
Don't you got some kids in your basement that need take care of Mr. John Riggs
True, but damn if the NES game isn't amazing.
yes it is if u ask me its better than arcade you ppl just have no taste
ahhh heeeellll yeeeah Martial Masters definitely one of the best fighting arcade games
Best gamesack thumbnail ever 😂
Speaking of awesome thumbnails.. *looks at James Walter* Not bad yourself.
Thumbnail reminds me of the columns iii guy
Excellent! *air guitar noises*
Seriously, you guys are the best. I wish there were more than 2 episodes a month! Joe, you need to stream more!!
Yeah I want to! It's usually a spur of the moment thing between working on episodes. :)
i play joe and mac back in mexico arcades, there this asians driving 2 long trucks with arcades that came to town on thanks giving to new year. they always bring wird stuff.
Wow, most of these games I've never even heard of. Love it! Thank YOU for making Game Sack!
The Simpsons, X-men Arcade, Star Wars Trilogy, Jurassic Park: The Lost World and Red Earth are good ones to cover in the future.
The Simpsons,X-men Arcade were ported to the psn and xbox live a few years ago so they won't be seen in any future left in the arcade episodes
matt ford yes, but those are straight arcade ports. They were still left in the arcade and never got ports on consoles of the time, so they still could be used.

There was a pc simpsons arcade release
matt ford - I remember the Producer of the PS3/360 The Simpmsons Game stating that The Simpsons: The Arcade would be included as an unlockable, but that sadly never happened.
Game Sack does my two favorite series in back to back episodes. Life is good my friends!
Awesome show as always. Btw Joe's brow ridge reminded me of a documentary about Neanderthals I recently watched.
It probably came to mind because that cave man game.
There is no better start into a sunday, than a new GameSack video.
I also thought Martial Masters was a great Eminem album
YeahThe Martial Masters LP was great, its sequel was shit tho.
the wigger is gay he isnt even from detroit he got found there but hes actually from little rock arknsaw
There's never been a "great" Eminem album.
OdilonMortiervuur I'm just martial masters;
Just a regular game; never had a port made about me
Great LP for sure.
His first 3 or 4 were all awesome.
😄👍
You could make these an hour and I would watch every single one. Getting my retropie tomorrow loaded with arcade games and I've been watching your videos all weekend preparing.
Games I don't think ever got ports:
A.B Cop
Acrobatic Dog Fight
Arabian Fight
Dragon gun
Dungeon Magic
Ginga Ninkyouden
Halley's Comet (the sequel got a famicom release)
Kingdom Grand Prix
Mad Motor
Monster Maulers
Neo Mr Do
Tecmo Knight
The Glob
Thunder Ceptor
Thunder Ceptor 2
Violent Storm
Wizard Fire
Kingdom Grand Prix was on the Saturn (Japan only I think) but otherwise good list.
how about Ninja Baseball Batman??
Out of all the great series Game Sack makes, this one is my favorite!!
Another good episode, love the Armored Maiden shirt. \m/
I'm very impressed with this episode. I would have played all these games back in the day if I saw them in local arcades. Not one of these I've ever seen.
The thumbnail alone earned my like. :)
nice timing i literally setting up MAME for some Arcade goodness thanks game sack
I think the Kids in that Banpresto Run 'n' Gun are saying "Help Me".
That was one of my most favorite end skits ever. I am not sure why. It was a good laugh. Thanks guys.
That game Pirates has some very fast loading flintlocks.
John Woo would be envious. lol
Haha imagine a John Woo action movie set in the Victorian era.
You should've seen the kind of guns Deadstorm Pirates had.
That Samus shirt is dope as hell.
I G O T A P O W E R ! ! !
Perfect end to a night, watch some Sack before hitting the sack!
Bout time you guys got back to business. I enjoy your channel.
your dry cheesy sense of humor is right up my alley. hilarious
Battle Circuit is finally on consoles with the release of Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle!
I literally came to the comments to either see if this was mentioned or make mention of it myself. What a great bundle as well, it comes with the English and Japanese versions of each game.
Thnx Gamesack for another amazing episode - will be going through half of these games
"Who doesn't love Technos?!"
Nobody I want to know. Technos rules.
This is my favourite series you guys did. More!!!
Great episode but damn it you guys need to cover Great 1000 Miles Rally, one of the best isometric racing games ever made. I have the PCB set but sadly it died not long ago.
Especially the evolution model, World Rally from Gaelco is also as fun.
I agree. Really fun game.
Good one. One of my favorite racing games, period.
I play it often on MAME, but I never actually saw it live.
Isometric? Sounds like a Dave review
I remember another like that, "World Rally Championship" Where you drive the Toyota Celica that Toyota cheated with, I remember I saw that several places.
Waking up on a Sunday to a new sack, feels wonderful
Be excellent to each other 😎
And? Party on dudes!
"ESP Ra.De." is now my new favorite game in the whole wide world ,Thanks Game Sack.
Crime Fighters isn't worth talking about but the sequel Vendetta is and it also never got a home port.
I couldn't find any evidence of this so I guess I'll have to take your word for it since you didn't mention which console.
Internet Tough Guy - What!? Crime Fighters was so good!!!!
Vendetta>Crime Fighters Japanese version>Crime Fighters US version.
Loving the Trooper T-shirt :) combines three of my favourite things in life... Iron Maiden, gaming, and Game Sack 😄
Daytona 2, Scud Racer and Planet Harriers are three I wished had home releases.
Twinbee's Gift of the Wind for a closing BGM? You won my eyes, ears and also my heart now forever :P
Back when micro transactions were only a quarter
Sucker MC - Love this comment! Lol!
But damn did you have to keep em coming.
These are my favorite episodes you guys put out
Instead of Sunday I say Sackday.
Thanks guys, brings back some good memories, I will need to emulate some of these and go back in time with my brother.
also, these are the original pay to play/win lol, beat em ups were quarter eaters
but u could git gut!
I remember finding a dark corner of the arcade and playing grab ass with my best buds, back in the day. Though it was more our choice that it never left the arcade, so maybe that doesn't qualify for your list.
Tell me more about that hidden gem
kevin spacey is that you???
American Pie, lesbians scene.
Gross.
Some of those enemies in Guardians are amazing-looking for the genre. You can tell the artists put their hearts into that game. Hope to see it ported!
Germany is watching! Thank you in advance for the next 30 minutes :)
Same here, always watching during breakfast every other sunday...
Me too! I love to watch every new episode!
Ficki Ficki
I always watch them during breakfast when they've uploaded a video.
Really great episode. I’m shocked I didn’t know about some of these titles. Exciting to find out about these hidden gems. Real hidden gems!
Good news everyone! You can finally remove Battle Circuit from this list!
It's still technically an arcade game emulated in a complication.
@@M0rinkashi But still, it's been ported.
the best series in your channel. Keep it up with the good work
I need that Armored Maiden shirt...
This video's picture is the best! Great work on this episode!
I think you guys made an error when talking about Martial Master when you stated that Street Fighter 3 runs on the CPS2 board. Street Fighter 3 runs on the CPS3 board. Awesome video though......
Love your videos, and this one had a ton of games I’d never heard of but look right up my alley. Thanks a lot!
You guys are so full of it... All of these games made it to home console! My Custom firmware PS3 plays them all just fine :P
TacticalPower88 Can ps3 emulate saturn?
No but it can emulate Arcade which covers a lot of the best Saturn titles.
my favorite gaming channel! Another great video guys. Keep it up!
You prolly mentioned it before, but it still irks me that Red Earth was never released outside arcades.
Nope, ammo for a future Left in the Arcades. Good call.
And then they included four Red Earth characters in Capcom Fighting Evolution, for anyone who wanted to see Sakura beat up a dinosaur.
Son of Tiamat To bad that game was terrible
Ehh, not as bad as you might think. I sat down with it a few years back and gave it a chance, and it actually is quite a bit of fun. While it doesn't have the depth of, say, Street Fighter 3, it's still a decent game in it's own right.
Love the Bill and Ted reference in the video art. Excellent!
Trois St. so EXTREME!
cool battle circuit is on everything now.
Gamesack, what is your opinion on reviewing the very first home game console? magnavox odyssey (1972)
kakashi101able I'm thinking it would be hard to go that in depth about boxes and overlays where you keep score on a notepad? Not downplaying its importance, but the episode would probably max out around 10 to 15 min. And they want to show games consoles (including arcade machines) that they have interest in themselves, and the story of the Odyssey is interesting, but the games are hard to talk about gameplay for too long.
if it wasnt for oddesy thered be no gaming peroid show some fuckin respect
@Retrogaminginsanity
Fanboy didn't actually read my post, I did show respect, and you still can't explain how to make the gameplay of 2 boxes on a screen be talked about for more than 10-15min. Any other random outbursts with nothing to explain?
Thank God a new episode... You guys are awesome ..
Plants are already alive ya dingus.
Aww yeah! new Game Sack in a lazy Sunday morning!
Do an episode on Greendawg!
Excuse me? That's *GREEEEEEENDAAAAAAAWG,* the BEACHED _SURFER DUUUUDE_ to you!
Funny battle Circuit is mentioned, when capcom puts it in it's beat'em up bundle of arcade games.
Please cover Aliens vs Predator made by Caps on released in 1994.
Dime Drawer Alien vs Predator was in a previous episode of this Series
Episode 62~Left in the Arcade 2
Great work and a lot of obscure (good) games in this episode, thanks!
Generic comment about how I'm impressed that you guys have a thing called a schedule.
glad to see you keep it coming
i love emuhawk it does every 32 to 8 bit system and more. been watching your old ep to get ideas fo what to get
FOR FUCK'S SAKES DAVE, STOP TAKING JOE'S GAMES!!
endings is one of the best part of your show
GAMESACK I FUCKING LOVE YOU... but i remember asking like a year ago, and u did reply, but can you please teach us how to remove old stickers from boxes? i have a mint condition yoshi's island in the box and theres a huge sticker... i will only trust it if u do it...
IDK if you have ever heard of him, but Lazy Game Reviews does a good video on this, and The 8-Bit gamer has one too. They have similar manners to Game Sack, and I feel like these guys would approve. But, nothing wrong with getting advice from them! Hope this helps!
Try to apply some heat to the sticker with a hair dryer or something and sloooooowly peel it off.
Check out 8-Bit Guy's channel. He has a very thorough video on how to remove stickers like that.
NarcoticDimension this is not an instructional channel bro. There are other channels or a quick Google search to use
Heat gun? I used a heat gun on the ps3's warranty sticker and it peeled off perfectly without voiding it.
This series and Left in Japan could go on for sooooo long.
