    Sometimes I dream of this place, sleeping there and being at the Hound Pits, but there’s no mission I have to do, I can just live there. Somehow it’s peaceful.

    I always wonder if Corvo, even a little bit cared to arrange bed for Emily to be shifted in the same room, since the room is larger, she would have ended dead.
    Also the painting by Emily on low chaos is 🥺

      Whatchu mean she'd end up dead though?

      @@Alexandra.AI. Emily would have been safe in the dunwall tower although kidnapped by the admiral. Had she stayed with corvo in the same room, the useless guards would have mistook her for a common girl and murdered her anyway.

    • @Alexandra.AI.
      @Alexandra.AI.  3 года назад +4

      Now I understand. But I don't think she would have been killed.
      The Hound Pits was attacked right after they poisoned Corvo. Havelock definitely had a hand in it. And he needed Emily to seize the throne so...

    I wonder what caused such destruction in Dunwall - first we see a destroyed bridge across Wrenhaven, then this ramshackle tower where Emily resides. War? Supernatural causes? While it is not explained, I must say Dunwall would lose half of its charm if it wasn't in this post-war state.

    • @NetPathfinder

      The desolation of interiors and exteriors became a key feature of the series. Check out "Dishonored Darkness of Tyvia fan art", pretty interesting work (I think one of the devs even praised it), especially the interior, overgrown and squalid. Wish we would have such places in the next game. :)

    • @Alexandra.AI.
      @Alexandra.AI.  3 года назад +1

      @@NetPathfinder I'm guessing the overzeal of the tallboys in pursuing weepers. Plus those watch tower things. Those can do massive damage.
      Or at least they would if the physics in this game actually worked lol
      It seems everything in Dunwall and Karnaca is made of steel. You can chuck bombs and incendiary bullets/arrows at anything and not a scratch. Except windows. Breaking those can be heard from the other side of town.
      Either that or the guards have super human hearing. Though considering they can take 2 to 3 bullets in the back if an officer aims at you, I think it's safe to say they probably are.
      I don't think Dunwall was at war with any other island or continent. It would have been all over the city, newspapers and the suspended megaphone announcements.
      I didn't know about that fanart. I look for stuff like this so thank you!
      The interior one reminds me of Aramis Stilton's manor. The present version I mean. There are a few places inside that look a little bit like that, though not quite.
      I don't like that the sky is so cloudy. It feels off. The sky is so clear in Dishonored, even when it rains.

    • @NetPathfinder
      @NetPathfinder 3 года назад +2

      @@Alexandra.AI. Hm, there's an interesting difference in the way how we percieve the game - rainy cloudy sky doesn't seem off to me, vice versa, I think it would match Gristol (England), Tyvia (Russia) and especially Morley (Scotland). As Tyvia is probably the number one among candidates for the setting of the next game, it's interesting to suppose how the game would look like. Will it be as beautiful and languid as Karnaca? Or more industrial and austere like Dunwall? In all actuality, I would love to have Dabokva (probably the city will be the capital, following the established tradition) look like Dishonored 1, its more immersive. Karnaca was too beautiful for me, it's borderline fantasy city. Dunwall looks like Moscow where I live, this particular combination of the old, the quaint and the industrialized.

    • @Alexandra.AI.
      @Alexandra.AI.  3 года назад +2

      @@NetPathfinder Well, it's probably just me. I meant that even when it rains, the moon is very clearly visible and the clouds are clearly defined. They're not all muddled together like it looks when it's overcast during daytime.
      Karnaca wasn't too beautiful for me. It was perfect :P

    • @NetPathfinder
      @NetPathfinder 3 года назад +1

      @@Alexandra.AI. Karnaca impressed me as well, it is just painfully beautiful city, probably the most beautiful I've ever seen in videogames. If it's perfect for you, then good. :) I just hope they will find the balance between "prose and poetry" of the two previous entries. And I would also love to see unindustrialised towns where life flows in the old ways. Perhaps, a little DLC to Dishonored 3, taking place in the backwater of Morley? Then they can ship Dishonored 4 set right in the Pandyssia (can't wait to see what the local tribes look like and vampire apes too :D )
