Was there, I just landed 2nd bass player for Wasted Youth and a year. Later Bad Religion for 2 yrs.....recorded W. Both......80- 85 original punch.LA..
I remember that interview there at the end! It was aired on the Trinity Broadcasting Network back in the day, part of a report about the dangers of punk rock. I remember seeing it packaged together with an exposé on backward masking. Made me go ahead and buy my first TSOL record.
I was at this show. This footage is totally edited down. Where's the rest. I shaved my head in the parking lot that night and drove us in my mom's Vista Cruiser station wagon. My parents weren't pleased the next day. Lol.
@@Dronemf11 I saw them many times in the 80s and compared to other punk rock shows tsol was punk rock 101. That's just my opinion tho. For other's they were one of the best
Everything about TSOL is punk rock. The Beach Bl. Was the start, VC, and all the others after. H.B. - L.B areas our crew went to most of these shows. The world was fun. Our eyes seen what we want to see. And still do.
They opened with Glass Streets playing it for the first time live. Crowd was a bit in shock with the song and I enjoyed looking at the shock in so many faces. I loved it and had a heads up on the debut of the new material. Full gig ruclips.net/video/UDl890YWH2s/видео.htmlsi=-8Ni9-pfAxZJjBxx
Adolescents too. Their was no Tool. Youth movement 81? That was the most insane gig. Curtains ripped down, pay phones ripped out of the wall, bathrooms destroyed, girl thrown off balcony, colored dude on roller skates getting his ass beat
Just their friends, their crew. TSOL often got accused of being a gang back then. There was always a bunch of dudes hanging out with the band and if you fucked with one of them you dealt with all of them. The guy in the olive shirt to the left of Mike -might- be Pat Brown, but maybe not.
grew up in long beach..saw every single punk band fro san Francisco to tiajauna (?) new york to london.......tsol gets a 2 out of 10 ...and thats being nice...great fans ,,,shitty band.

My mom would not let me go to this show. Smart woman.

@@FuckPunkers Plus, must of sucked carrying a long enough extension cord to reach the parking lot for those hair clippers!

Peak of LA punk
Oh look! It's my youtube stalker!
Ha ha! That TSOL interview is the coolest! I recognize Jack and Mike, but who are all those other cats?

FuckPunkers no, it was a Thursday nite show..in the spring, can't remember who else p!ayed..
No fear didn’t play this night.
almost lost the entire audience to the stage
Funny they never mentioned being interviewed by TBN. I love seeing it even though they were not reflecting their intelligence or charm.
I saw tsol alot in the 80s. In thia video they look and sound like glam rockers or punk 101 light weights 😃

I agree. They dont even sound punk rock to me. More like a glam band trying to sound punk but cant pull it off
You obviously weren’t around in these times
