- Hello there, I have nothing else to say besides thank you, and I hope you enjoy this new try of approaching content, a little more heavily edited and performed than any of my previous works, and yes, no cringy singing, don't cyberbully me. And yes, I am the Michael Bay of editing with how many explosions I add.

Double enshroud in 2m burst is simultaneously one of the simplest but most satisfying optimisations in the game. Just one of those little things like on black mage transposing into fire phase with an f3 proc to use.

Hi! A tip I give to people if they get overwelmed easily with new classes is to do Palace of the Dead to learn the class skill by skill in a slower and safer maner.
I did that for Samurai and for Dancer, and it helped a lot to get the combos down, move skills and learn everything without feeling overwelmed.
I can only imagine how astronomically difficult it is to balance this game. Because the more content they add, the more expansions they add, the more levels they add, the more stats are needed, the more jobs get added, and the more time is needed to balance everything for every job, including the new ones. This goes for both old and new content, and the more content... Well, the longer it takes to balance, no? This isn't even me going into bug fixing, cosmetics for each job and race, and how the higher the level cap, the more skills "have" to get added, meaning more buttons to press, making old jobs feel overwhelming... So I'm not surprised they made newer jobs simpler, but they still managed to play their intended roles properly. I cannot wrap my head around how they manage such a feat. It's impressive, and it only gets harder and harder for them with each new expansion.
This was fun! I picked up reaper to absorb my msq xp for shb and it has been a lot of fun as my first dps job outside of rdm

Amongst top tier raiders, we all agree that Samurai is the easiest job in the game besides summoner. With samurai you don’t even have any 2min buffs to worry about dishing out..you legit never just stop doing your rotation and you don’t need a fundamental understanding of the game. As top tier reaper, if you line everything up properly you actually out DPS dragoons
I really don't think that. It's the type of "Freestyle Samurai" that do the lowest of rDps. You need to take aware of raid buffs and burst windows as any other class. But with SAM I personally got the Problem, that I dont have an own so continually miss the 120 seconds window.
SAM has one of the smoothest straightforward rotations I've ever played. Damage aside from all DPS class, it's less chaotic and forgiving to a degree. Reaper is like if a SAM, DRK, and a RDM have a orgy and that's why your optimization seemed chaotic and unforgiving at times. My experience is I got to worry about keeping the debuff up, make sure my arcane circle is popped constantly, not capping on my resource / proc shroud and make sure not to mess up the gib/gallow, and proc arcane circles dmg all the while the timers in between doesn't expire. Oh and I got to proc that range ability for a free throw before battle 🤔 is there anymore micromanaging Yoshi-P need to throw at us? I'm already playing DDR with boss mechanics and now I got to be even more conscience about my own class mechanics 😂
That's an interesting take , I personally find reaper to be the easiest of the melee, I find samurai to be middle of the road along with drg, and monk and nin I find take the most attention . Viper I feel like is right there with Sam for me.

I chose reaper as my first ever melee class some time ago, and recently decided to level up dragoon and HOLY FUCK this class has so many things to press. I don't even know where half my shit is, why do i have to constantly run around the boss to do positionals, why do i have to constantly renew the shit buff every 30 seconds instead of just stacking it to 60 like reaper, my fingers hurt x_x
Reapers story seriously shoulda focused on your Void sent packt, get you to know them better
I need no other class when I have edginess and double/triple enshroud

as a fellow reaper enjoyer, this class is so freaking funny to play, even more than samurai, still i think the class need a buff, just be more easy to access to Spoky Slides, i mean, Enshroud and the class would be on fire!

Reaper and many other DPS jobs beside it need a little boost from Squeenix, but yeah, we'll see what happens, definitely one of the more fun job designs and aesthetic. And thank you so much! :D

By level 90 you find that using your 123 combo is essential pointless as at tgat point your just skill weaving.
Also controller Players i know hate reaper. While pc its brain dead.

Do ... do people really struggle that much with the DRG rotation? I play the job as my main DPS role and I never had a problem with it. Or is that just my FromSoft poisoned gamer-brain not registering the pain anymore?
I just started this game, yes I skipped and bought a class but only so i could gain access to rpr. Technically rpr is my starting class. Today is day 5 and this video helped me learn my rotation.

Whilst leveling up I never got into a comfortable rotation with Reaper because by the time I did everything died. Practicing double Enshroud shredded Fate farming.

i absolutely love reaper and have been maining it since launch, but i gotta admit i was hoping for the enshroud + voidsent attacks to be earned through a dragoon style combo. i just want more complexity on the job, even if that means less enshroud windows.
It would be interesting to make it a more complex job, but it's nice to have an easier job for each job role
