Very impressive, Charlie! Brings back so many memories of sewing projects with my Mom. Her sewing machine (and ironing board) were right outside my room and she sewed all kinds of things for us when I was small. When I lived in Germany I hand-sewed curtains for all of the windows in our house - had lots of time back then and no machine to whip them up! xx
Everything is coming together so beautifully in your new country farm kitchen. Love the beautiful green ticking you chose to make your country ruffle curtains. I so agree, really softens up the look in the kitchen and adds an interesting element. Hides the bits of chaos; yet creates such a cozy smart look. I always love a ticking stripe and checks for curtains, in a kitchen, bath or bedroom. Such a smart cozy country look. Loving the new pine shelves, look so quaint in your kitchen and the mix of a bit of wood with the painted kitchen cabinets adds such a nice contrast. Also in respect to last weeks blog on Fall Wardrobe, loved it and would definitely be interested to hear more on the white button down shirts for fall as such a staple. One really needs more than one. Cheers Miss and yes so dark, so early now. Really feeling it this week.
Great idea Charlie. The curtains will help to keep the dust off the shelves as well as looking lovely. Great idea to use ticking too - good quality, strong fabric. Time for me to get sewing again, ‘methinks’. 🩷
Great job! I know it’s been a journey making these life changes but ‘change is good’ and you’ve embraced it, which will maybe have inspired others to do the same
Everything looks amazing in your new kitchen Charlie, the green ticking was a great addition without being a distraction, the window fabric is a nice surprise and coming together nicely, enjoyed the video and tutorial, makes me want to sew again, cheers from Tennessee❣️
Good job Charlie lounged the simple ticking material blends so well in your kitchen. Really like the potential material at your window, have you decided to have a blind which would be practical or curtains. I love sewing also particularly soft furnishings and this time of year feels right somehow! Thanks for sharing.
I loved this ❤ what a difference the fabric makes to your island. Love your new stripe fabric & your blinds. The colours match in perfectly. Love your new kitchen 💚💕
I love those curtain Charlie! You have such a kind way to show and explain things. I love your glass containers on your shelf they look so lovely and farmhouse. Do you mind me asking where you putchased them from please xx
Thank you Charlie, could you do a video on how you organised a much smaller kitchen and perhaps you most frequently used items i.e pyrex, mixing bowls etc?
Love that material. Couldn't see if the curtains touched the floor as it's best to leave about 2 inches so they don't get dirty when you mop the floor.
Gosh Charlie I just adore your videos. My brother (architect) and I were just chatting kitchens at the weekend and saying how “in” and fab the curtain look is. Such gorgeous fabric you chose too. Would love more sewing and would love to do your course. Hoping to get my first sewing machine on Black Friday if I can get a bargain. Any recommendations for starting out?
There is noone in the world that will keep me watching sweeing or ironing or cooking. You managed the impossible 😅😊❤
Well thank you x
