- Kirby Allison is again joined by Joe Hemrajani of MyTailor, this time to conduct a first fitting on his very first bespoke Top coat. This Topcoat will be a dark navy, made from wool, in a double breasted style, probably the most stylish way for Kirby to stay warm this coming Winter.
Based in Southern California, but travelling worldwide for fittings, Joe Hemrajani first began making shirts for Kirby almost 8 years ago. After a successful first suit, Kirby was keen to continue their fantastic working relationship. At this price range, Jo Hemrajani is easily one of the best options out there for incredible quality bespoke suits.

I’ve been a loyal follower for a while, but the videos are getting harder to watch. If you’re going to invite these guys on, please let them talk without interrupting them every other word.
It’s a good video when you let the expert speak. The main attraction is your guest.
Duuude those last two pieces we're freaking awesome!
KA, It's true...you interrupt your guest too much...
I agree with the others here about talking over people. I stopped watching at
I think it would be interesting to see the first initial measuring session. I would like to see the process from the beginning of a bespoke garment.
Wow, the jacket hybrid looks great! I, too always wear a jacket or a coat with my shirt, or sweater on. I just need that additional layer.
I’ve been enjoying your video for the past two years and I have to thank you for many things I’ve learned about shoe care and sartorial clothings.
I don’t see a problem with the approach Kirby takes when interviewing craftsmen ; he’s documenting the consultation and as such he has the right to ask as many questions as needed; it’s also important to note that he is working as a mediator to help illustrate the why’s behind each aspect of the garment and process, this is relevant when working with craftsmen as often the process is so natural to them that they struggle to interpret/articulate the importance/limitations behind each step. Ps: i work in the menswear industry and my input is based on my experience alone. Thank you Kirby for sharing these videos with us.
When buying an overcoat, always go one size up from your suit size.....kind of a no brainer! Beautiful looking coat and navy blue is just a perfect colour. Love the overshirt.......and I could tell you liked it!
Coat is coming along nicely! I will be visiting the My Tailor folks in a few weeks for my first shirt order with them. I will mention that you sent me. I have a few general questions: When buying bespoke how is the payment made? Do you pay everything up front, or half up front and half on completion? What is the protocol? Second question: Who are your style influencers? I have heard you mention your Grandfather several times. Is there someone else whose aesthetics you admire? Keep up the great content!
I wish Mr. Hemrajani would start his own RUclips channel detailing the work involved. If subscribe in a heartbeat.
Kirby : so tell me about the fabric ?
That shirt jacket is a great idea. It could be worn over a tee on the way to the gym, or with a shirt and tie at church.
Here in the Caribbean 🇩🇴 we cannot use over coats but I would love to have a DB suit made by Mr Hemrajani. Very professional and elegant
What is the name of the type of military-style jacket that you try on at the end of the video? It's so beautiful and practical! Thank you!
How do you care for your top coat? I find I wear through fabrics in about a year or two.
Congrats! Your tailor is charming.
Kirby, you seem to have a similar width to the lapels on most of your suit jackets that I find very appealing. What is the approximate width of the lapels on the suit you’re wearing in this video?
Kirby get a belt fitted on the back of the shirt jacket so you can tie it, really smart item, the overcoat will be dope when finished
