I caught a few of these episodes back in the day (around 1990), and thought it was a decent show. But mostly I was wondering who this very pretty star was. It was my introduction to Sandra Bullock, and I've had a crush ever since.
The movie was one of my favourites and when I would think of it (reminisce) I often thought it would make a great series - but NOT as a comedy, but an hour long drama of business life at Trask Industries, etc.
Sandra bullock also starred in the 2nd six million dollar man/bionic woman reunion movie in 198o she actually made her acting debut then she starred in this movie spinoff I'm thankful she switched to the big screen 🎥!
the teacher (Miss Crane) from the pilot episode of Roseanne - she was Darlenes teacher that said she barked in class lol; she even came back on Roseannes reboot
Sandra Bullock did TV before she picked up Speed and then became the Hollywood's IT Girl in 1994 She won an oscar in 2010 for The Blind Side and her career hasn't stopped yet. She was in Bonic Showdown (TV)mini-series Hangmen (TV) movie and she started back in 1987 and then did some short flims along the way and now Sandra Bullock is in leaque of her own.. She was in Demolition Man, The Thing Called Love, Love Potion #9 A Time To Kill. Sandy has come along way since 1982.
The show probably would have been a success if they didn't call it working girl and didn't make it seem like it should be like the movie because these two are both hot and hot together!😚
I don't remember this show at all but at the time it was on the air I was watching very little TV. I first became aware of Sandra Bullock I think is when I rented "While You Were Sleeping" when it first came out on VHS. Have adored her ever since !!
Wow, this has nothing to do with the original film at all. The original film is about a woman who doesn't want the life her social standing is pushing her into; this show is about a woman with the life she wants being pushed back into the life she didn't -- and the audience is on the side of those against her!
Were some names forbidden to be used in the series? The movie's Trask was named Oren. Strange, but refreshing seeing new characters not from the movie. Cyn would've been interesting, though. Lana could've easily been the Cyn character. It would've been interesting to take the show's lead character in a direction of trying to help run Trask Industries. Different challenges and various opportunities, like workplace/personal life.

no wonder this failed. the movie was not.some silly sitcom . they basically took all the good elements of the movie and trashed them.
