Tumblr is my favourite social media currently, reblogging something feels so much less serious than retweeting on twitter. It's just like my big attic that i throw stuff in and people may like it or they may not

I haven’t really gotten into posting my art as im so inconsistent on when i have any motivation to even draw but its always disappointed me that the best sites for sharing my work are not great at showing it to others. especially with the death of twitter and other sites not being optimized for artists, i dont have many options to work with. im hopeful there will be a new platform/site for artists to use and help us share our works/put ourselves out there looking for commission work or to be appreciated

I feel that. I forgot to mention this in the video, but posting to tumblr groups helped me grow. At the time it was on “weirdfurry” but I’m not sure if they’re still active

I use fb and blue sky as of right now if im looking for new accounts and people. Otherwise i check conventions and etsy for artists. (I do have a discord strictly for one community there thats for a store that kinda helped realize im a furry)

However, there was no mention of Threads. Was this video before the release?
There feels like a cheaper version of Twitter. Like moving into a pre-fab house after living in a sturdy log cabin for years 🪵 🏠

I agree, it's been month since Thread's had been out and it still feels like an app in beta mode.
