I was only 2 on this edition, but even then I still watch fastest 3 mins one of the reason why Mnf is my fave cuz seein the other networks doin highlights is just borin, we need someone like Chris Berman to do the highlights
@@waynetables6414 oh nah i messed up my own comment, lol I didn’t have cable @ 2 😂😂 but I was sayin it’s always been around for so long throughout my childhood n teen years that I wonder why Chris berman wasn’t given a shot at play by play or color commentator
The music and Chris’s voice almost brings a tear to my eye. I remember waking up for school early in the morning getting ready to catch the bus and this segment of Chris’s show would come on just as I was getting ready. Why was being a kid so fucking awesome? Why did we want to grow up?
@DH K it seriously is!! Right off the bat. That game defines real life simulation of NFL football! Theres not a single complaint at all. Not even glitches. EA Should have realized by now that there is no way in hell are they gonna make it to NFL 2k5.

Thank you so much for this video! 2004 was the very first season I started watching the NFL very closely. Watching this brought back some sweet memories. Thank you again, and God bless you, OP!
@@thomassalas5191 It would have never worked... LT even said it. The play style didn't fit Drew Brees as well as it did Rivers. Also Brees was injured and possibly never could have played again and it was a 50/50 shot, but they had Rivers and knew he could play and was ready.
Watching this makes us 90’s babies feel old. I think Tom Brady drew brees & Larry Fitzgerald are the only ones still playing. Is there anymore I missed?
I remember this cause Big Ben was a rookie and he beat the eagles and the patriots in back to back weeks and that year both teams was undefeated at the time
Mike Patrick, Joe Theismann and Paul Maguire had the absolute best telecast for Sunday night football. This was when ESPN was still must-watch. Actually the NFL was sooo much better too
The Bears derailed the Giants season twice around the same time in the season in 2004 and then in 2006 on a Sunday night game. Both times the Giants were red hot and nobody gave them a chance to win. The significance in 2004 was the brief Kurt Warner period ended the following week against Arizona and the Eli Manning era began the following week. The 2006 Giants were a bigger disappointment starting 6-2 and then going 2-6 to lose to Philly in the playoffs. I just wonder what might have happened if Tiki didn't announce his retirement in the middle of the season. It was selfish and a huge distraction to the team. I remember everyone wanted Tom Coughlin fired after the year including me but 2007 came together and you know the rest.

Always looked forward to it
Damn it, I miss watching these as a kid with my dad. Hot wings and soda every Sunday night before school. Early 2000s was great!
We literally did the same thing growing up lmao...good times😊
The music is so iconic 🔥

Absolutely nothing like NFL prime time back in the day and the halftime fastest 3 minutes nothing like it. Berman is an all time legend.

Sucks u need espn plus to see him now stupid espn
Jake Plummer, Chad Pennington, Hines Ward….man that feels like a lifetime ago.
Drew Brees with the touchdown pass to ANTONIO GATES maaaannnnn
Chris Berman doing highlights was my childhood. Made the highlights more exciting. Wish he got into fantasy football!
Larry Fitzgerald, Drew Brees, Tom Brady and Big Ben still in the League
@Clifford your big red God Jason Witten too
Phillip Rivers was on the bench backing up Brees

Jerry Rice with the Seahawks, Big Bens rookie season, Brees in San Diego, Portis throwing TDs, Vinatieri throwing TDs, what a week what a season
True NFL remember. Man oh man. Back when NFL was exhilarating. Man time flies. Season about to start in a few weeks
This shit brings a tear to me eye!!
So weird to see Brees playing against the saints haha
I know right and the chargers kept rivers over brees... man 😳
Or to see Jerry Rice against the 49ers
If Saints didn't pick him up they would still throw the ball backwards. lol
@@567BubbaGump that's also very surreal...
And Duce Staley to play on the Steelers against the Eagles while dominating them lol
In 5 years you’ll be back to watch this again. The OG Espn days
I miss chris. 🏈 will never be as fun as it was with him.
When ESPN was watchable.
Absolutely not espcnn lol

This music. So great. Please bring it back
Always makes me think of NFL 2k5
Man I love chris berman sports wouldn't be the same without him
this music makes me crazy happy
absolute blast of nostalgia
Man this is a blast from the past. This is the type of stuff I’d watch every evening after school.
“What is he….WHOOOOOP! What is doooing?” 😂😂
This music was my childhood. I remember watching his nfl highlights and then bundling up to go play football out in the snow with my dad. Good times.
Crazy how much chills I got hearing that music ….same here
This brings back memories, the good old days.
1:51 “WAAP”
Jajajaja
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Chris Berman is the best ever imo
I rather watch this than pay $400 for NFL Sunday Ticket.
2:19 did he just say, “but when you play Kansas Shitty”?? 😂😂😂 I love this man
Nope definently didnt
He’s the JR (wwf) of football highlights. The two just made shit more exciting back in day. Grasped everyone’s interest.
The nostalgia
God just hearing some of these names is giving me soo much nostalgia
Hines Ward flapping his wings, the Eagles flapping their gums lmao
The eagles went to the super bowl that year

Seeing Brees on the Chargers facing the Saints 🥴🥴🥴🥴
Yea... now we live in a disgusting society where if we wanna watch nfl prime time we have to pay for ESPN plus
That's because NBC has exclusive rights to highlight shows on Sundays.
This song is wayyyyyy better than the current one, by a long shot.
Me randomly up at 3am in 2024 watching this and grinning because it’s so nostalgic 🥹
Chris Berman’s wife knows all about the fastest 3 minutes
How ironic that Drew Brees beat the same team that he will be the star QB of two years later
Derek Brain the chargers pulled a sega .... just got rid of all the winners 🤣🤣
Derek Brain That’s when the Saints knew that was their man
The Saints knew Drew Brees was their man, because they watched in awe as he....actually threw the ball forward.
You know its the Jets when Chad Pennington is the qb
