Really made me laugh when you were moaning about the “what is their obsession with palm down press on dual tex”
Loving the hate on slab.
Really humble view on stuff and impressed with your mental game. The calm collected approach, especially when you thought you were disappointed with the pink but actually you reflected and got your head straight. Impressive.
Thank you, I appreciate it :)
Often the best sessions are the ones where I get the most frustrated 😂
BIG CONGRATS! These vlogs were a huge reason I was really cheering for you in SLC, super hyped for your awesome performance. Keep it going!
Really appreciate the support, Thank you!!
@@TobyClimbing You deserve it! Really inspiring seeing you making all these really smart choices. Working hard and spending tons of times on boulders you aren't really enjoying because you know you need to work on it. Keeping your fingers taped during training even though it makes it harder to send anything, which can be super frustrating. These smart decisions are going to keep paying off big for you! Keep that winning mindset.
Good luck in Prague!!
Thanks!!
Don’t comment a lot on YT videos but please keep making these! I just started climbing 2 months ago, did my first v6 yesterday, and seeing someone 2 years younger but 10x stronger is really motivating. Being able to watch your day to day & thought process/training regimen is also super dope. Good luck on the rest of the szn!
Hey Toby! First of all, congratulations on your gold medal! I'm so happy for you. Well done! Also, thank you for taking us on this journey with you. These vlogs are really inspirational. It reminds me of early Magnus Midtbø youtube videos or Tim & Ross (now Ross Fulkerson solo channel). Thank you for showing us behind the scenes. Good luck!
Training load seemed to be huge so extra thanks for still uploading these videos ;) Congrats for reaching semis in Prague.
Thank you :)
Great video! Makes us understand how hard u guys work for managing training and comps! Keep it up man and good luck ;)
Always enjoy your videos~
Good luck for tomoorw semi and final !
Very good video, Good Job!
Your arms were crazy on the last black boulder, unbelivable!!
Love what you’re doing Toby! You’re absolutely rocking it in front of the camera and the climbing performance is a sight to behold. Also you’ve definitely been an inspiration to me for trying harder both physically and mentally. Really cool and best of luck with your comps, we’ll be cheering for you!
That’s great to hear, thanks a lot :)
Love the deep insights on training and the world cups! Keep these coming!
Thanks, I’ll try my best!
Kinda crazy how he pistol squatted on the little knob on that pink slab. So much pressure on one point of your foot. Insane!
Thank you for this amazing format of the video. An insight into a real training process is such an amazing thing to watch, it helps a lot and is insanely interesting!
Good luck in all upcoming competitions💪
Thank you :)
Great videos! Really enjoying them!
Thanks :)
Best of luck in Prague! Been loving your videos and watching your season!

You’re nailing it buddy - good luck in your comps, there are a few of us from Sheffield checking live to see how you’re getting on! All the best Tobes -give em hell!
That’s great to hear! - I’ll try my best :)
Watching this right as the clock ticks down for the start of the Prague mens semifinals; congrats on making it in and hope you do well and can progress to finals, also its very impressive the quality of the video production and in depth look we can get into your training process! Best of luck throughout the season!
Thank you 😆 didn’t quite make it through but enjoyed the comp!
I'm so happy with how you're doing atm in world cups especially with the lack of experience you have in comparison to your competitors and i'm looking forward to your performances in the coming world cups this year!
Thank you :))
Best of luck for Prague. Really enjoying your vlog of the World Cup series as are my kids who are aspiring comp climbers.
Thank you :) I’ll try to keep it going!
sick vid!
great video again ! would be quite interested in that of the wall warm up you talked about.
Love these vlogs! Keep sending it 😄😄😄
Need to come to the burrito capital of the world San Diego, CA for the best burritos xD
Thank you!
Hahah I’d love to :)
Love these training videos! Could you give a little bit of an insight on your physical conditioning and non climbing exercises that you do?
For sure there will be some stuff like that in the future I hope 😊
Awesome take on disgusting slabs session, thank you! 😅
Congrats and good luck in the next comps, I knew you’re gonna crush it in Salt Lake 😎💪
Happy it came across well!
Thanks :)
Great video!
I was wondering what you do in your stretching routine?
Thanks 🙏
Congrats on making semis
Thanks!
Nice Toby! looking in good lead shape. How much effort have you put into perfecto mundo and how does it feel?
Those slabs looked absolutly nasty…
Good luck in prague, im sure you will make finals ;)
They weren’t pretty 😂
Thanks :)
Given the training load for these kinds of events do you find you sometimes push slightly too hard and your sleep gets messed up or have you got all that pretty dialled in so you always experience a manageable level of load?
Curious now that the lead season is coming closer, whats your preferred discipline - boulder or lead? Hope you crush it in Prague :)
I really like both and have done both my whole life but this season I’m really looking forward to the lead season which is approaching fast 😆
14:44 Stasa!!
wouldn't it make more sense to use your binoculars in training if during comps you are only allowed to use them (as maybe getting used to the level of info the phone provides will leave you slightly unprepared for the lack of information the binoculars will give you in the comps)?
now do it feet first
