Legendary! Purchased a battery from another supplier but their install instructions were pretty vague. You saved the day!

Your excellent, detailed explanation makes the process of replacing the battery quite easy. The only minor adjustment I would make is to wait until the new battery is installed into the chassis before re-installing the speakers, it just makes battery placement a little easier. Well done and thank you! Btw, the solvent used to loosen and clean the glue in the kit is simple acetone. Works very well.

I just completed this battery replacement procedure yesterday, by following this video. Everything went perfectly, thanks to your detailed, step-by-step explanations. Thanks for uploading - I could never have done this successfully without it!
I found the trickiest part of the procedure was getting the new battery aligned *exactly* before letting it drop and adhere to the case. There isn't much leeway at all - even a millimeter or two of misalignment can prevent you from connecting the battery to the laptop - and trying to keep all the separate parts of the battery in place as you line it up is a bit cumbersome. But I got it in the end - thanks again to following your instructions.

Im glad i could help! Yes that is a tricky part for sure.. it's crucial to align the screw holes before you drop the battery in.. and to bend that connector cable in a right shape.

Thanks, with your tutorial i was able to do the replacement myself.
Important : I placed the new battery before the speakers, and it was easier this way, just as the person in the comments mentioned.

I need to try that next time. I was worried that the speakers won't fit if the battery is not going to be in a right alignment..

First you need to check the new battery and do the calibration at least, better to test it well, and only after that you remove all the stickers and install it finally. Even Ifixit doesn't tests all the parts they are selling.
Interesting to see another 2015 MacBook pro with all swollen sections again and again, and somebody again will say its just a coincenence?

According the the website information iFixit is testing their batteries before shipping them.

Have you been satisfied with the battery life after the replacement? I'm not sure if I'm happy with mine. After replacing my battery, I installed AlDente and only charge 80%. I spent an hour using Ikea's kitchen planner, and the battery went from 80% to 36%. Watch through your video (nicely done BTW), and it went down to 30%. Perhaps Ifixit's battery is nowhere near the quality of OEM.

I installed the iFixit batteries in both mine and my GFs Macs a few months ago and so far so good. It's charging normally and keeping charge normally. To be fair I work on the charger most of the times anyways.. I think if your battery is running out exceptionally quickly you can definitely exchange it. Also.. make sure you use original apple charger.. all that after market stuff is breaking the batteries most of the time. Another thing is that those laptops are very old at this point so there is also a chance that power management optimisation with the MacOS Monterey is not very good for us. I love my retina but i think its time to upgrade to Apple silicone machine..

Maybe an obvious suggestion, but make sure you've calibrated the battery meter in the laptop after replacing the battery. Kamil explains how to do this at the end of the video. If the battery meter is not calibrated, a reading of 80% may be much less, and the rapid decrease in charge may not reflect the actual charge.
One thing I found helpful is to go into the Macbook info, and look under the Power category. It tells you the remaining charge, the total charge, and whether the battery is still charging. I found that without a calibrated battery meter, the laptop could still report 100% charged despite still charging according to this data.
