    Thanks for sharing! Do you find it easier carving the rough of the arm attached to the main piece/body rather than carving it detached and then glue it on?

      There are times where I will carve a portion of the add on piece prior to attaching it. Doing so can make it easier to handle, however, if I carve it after it's attached it helps me "see" How it works with the main piece. If I am carving from a pattern that has been proven to work I am more likely to carve more before attaching.
