We are going to a Blue Beacon in Houston in about an hour. We've been at the in-laws since February 7th. Our lovely GD has been in the shop for repair work. I had to come back here to watch this again for the options. I'm so glad that you guys did this.
Glad it was helpful. We have used them for a few years and really enjoy going there. The only problem we've encountered is there might be a long wait time.
Chris is so funny with the faces he does sometimes LOL. Anyways, if that was the infamous Contactless wash, it didn't work for me. It looks nice right after you leave the washing area but did you see the RV the next day? Dust was all over like if no wash was done. So, to me it is you and your hand/elbow exercise working with a good product and a sponge LOL
He's a mess! In a good way.🤣 We didn't notice any dust on it the next day. If there was it could have been the roads we traveled on after we left. We agree handwashing is better but this works for us between those washings.
We have used Blue Beacon several times. So far it has always been a good experience. It is much easier and time saver. Although sometimes we do wash it ourselves.
I have had good experiences at Blue Beacon's throughout the US, always tell them the same, no acid and no brushes. My average cost has been $80 for the coach and toad, plus a tip. Well worth the cost.
We used a Blue Beacon last year on our rig we recently bought. I told them no brushes as well because I learned from you all on RUclips. I turned my back for a minute and heard a clunky sound, yep a guy was going to town on the front of the Rv before I could say anything. He broke the windshield washer fitting on one side and they also put two big scratched on one side. We had to file a complaint which they went good for me fixing the broken part but nothing with the paint.
Sorry to hear about your experience there. Seems to us either people have good experience and like going there or they have had bad experiences and would never go again. Thanks for sharing your story.
We have always had a great experience with Blue Beacon. They have never used acid or brushes at any of their locations. And I never asked them not to. Till cocktails. Be safe and Be Well.
We love Blue Beacon as well I had a small trucking outfit 20 years ago and had them wash my trucks and trailers. Always great value...and workmanship. I can only remember 1 time where my stainless steel doors on my trailer streak really bad and they rewashed the back end of my trailer. 😅😅😅...I joke with my bride about cabana boys. She says I'm stuck with her......I'm glad Cheers
We bought a used Dutch Star in June of last year and hubby is afraid of taking it to a truck wash. He has been washing it himself but he takes 2 days to do it, He is 66 years old so who knows when he might say ......let's do it. He is afraid of getting scratches on it.
We went to Blue Beacon last year to get the snow and dirt from travelling from Nova Scotia.. we specifically said so not use and acid!! Butt they must have cause it took off every bit of wax that was on the trailer and its hard to get that shine back!
We went there once and had a bad experience. We were inexperienced and didn’t know about the acid though the rubber/plastic trimming around the rig was all grey afterwards 😢 I guess we learn as we go ❤
40+ years 4.5 million miles driving over tge road. Streakin Beacon has washed my rigs all across the country.. They usually do a good job for the money and amount of time involved.... Sisters and Danny's is the industry Top dogs but there's only a few of tgem... Eagle is on BB level. . Fast and affordable... And you're correct on a one man job .... all day if you're lucky !!
I don’t think that’s a bad deal at all from Blue Beacon. Not for three vehicles. 32 years of marriage. Congratulations! 🎊🍾🎈🎉 That’s great for being married that long. Katrina don’t look for the Cavana or is it Cabana boy for you I’m single and available. Send him my way. lol! You both are funny! I love it and think you both are a cute couple. Thank you for the tips on Blue Beacon. Have a great day and weekend and week and see you soon!
It's actually two vehicles but still a good deal in our opinion. Not really interested in a cabana boy but if I change my mind I'll send Chris your way.🤣 He's definitely a keeper. ♥ Thank you and have a great weekend as well!
Katrina, I will have to get rid of the Ford Escape that I own ( my tow car) and get a Jeep Liberty like yours. Could you tell me whether it is a 4x4 or 4x2? Automatic or manual? And the procedure to prepare it to tow? Thanks!!
Our Liberty is a 2008 4x2 automatic. Hopefully you have the manual for your jeep liberty. It's pretty easy how they explain it. You do have to disconnect the battery before towing. You many also want to purchase a quick battery disconnect. Hopefully this helped. Safe travels!
You waited in line over an hour for that?! I can't think of anything I would wait in line an hour for!! We got 4" of white crap yesterday.🤮 Glad Big Blue is in the barn.
Dont use a brightner on your wheel rims. Its a acid. Costs me to much to have my aluminum wheels polished and buffed out. I have a bro of mine that shows his large car and one of the thjngs he swears by is Mop and Glow floor wax.
Haven’t been to a blue beacon yet but we have a truck wash here in town and we just tell them to use chemicals with no acid in it (they then use Dawn) and to use soft bristle brushes. How do you get the Rv really scrubbed and the bugs scrubbed off if you don’t use brushes?
Sounds like you found a good place you can trust to wash your rv. We remove any bugs that are still on our rv by hand but for the most part there's no bugs after going there.
We have been wanting to try it, but the lines have always been so long. I guess I am not very patient (Scott)😂 Question, do you have your “we the rv’ers” merchandise on line, I didn’t see a link, or did I miss it somewhere?
Depending on which location it can be a bit of a wait but in our opinion it's worth it. Yes, they are for sale on our website in the merch section. Thanks for asking. 😊 www.skidoh.com/oeg/shop/home
We love Blue Beacon truck wash and have never had a bad experience. Do you use Blue Beacon? Tell us what you think and leave a comment.
We have yet to use a Blue Beacon so this was nice to see. Thanks for sharing and safe travels! - Mike and Shelley
Thank you! Enjoy your journey!

Hopefully everything good to go with your GD. Glad to hear the video was helpful. Have a wonderful camping season. Safe travels!
@@oureverydaygetaway thanks! We head to Boston in a few weeks for the spring, summer.
Thanks for this video. I have wanted to try Blue Beacon but was not sure how it worked. I’ll try it now.

Absolutely agree!
We have not been to a Blue Beacon but our rig could sure use it. They just never seem to be convenient to where we are headed.
We always seem to find one on our travels.
I agree I don’t want to spend all day washing the rig so yes I’ll pay and wait in line for Blue Beacon.
Sounds like a plan!

You may have gotten lucky. One time they started to use the brushes even after Chris asked them not to.
We love Blue Beacon as well

Glad to hear you have had good experiences. Cabana boys!🤣🤣
I used to work at Blue Beacon in Iowa 80, and I swear there were trucks lining up 24 hours a day to wash their trailers.
We can totally see that being the case.
Current worker at Blue Beacon for a year now, it's like that over at my place too during the summer
We bought a used Dutch Star in June of last year and hubby is afraid of taking it to a truck wash. He has been washing it himself but he takes 2 days to do it, He is 66 years old so who knows when he might say ......let's do it. He is afraid of getting scratches on it.
I am like your hubby then. It took me the other day 8 hours to wash / dry my RV but it looked sooooo beautiful.
A labor of love for sure. I'm sure it was absolutely beautiful when he finished. 😊
HOW COOL 😎 IS THAT. RV TRUCK WASH Italian style.
LOL!!!

Sorry to hear that.
Great video, I’m going to give them a try
Hopefully your experience will be as good as ours. Take care and enjoy your journey. 😊
Missed seeing Tucker. Where does he ride, I'm guessing on his sofa!
He's not a big fan of travel days so he sleeps on his sofa until we arrive at our destination. 😊
We've never been to a Blue Beacon but we want to. We just don't want to prolong our travel day, lol.
You guys sound like Chris as far as not wanting to prolong travel day. Me on the other hand don't mind at all. 😁

Nope. We used Blue Beacon last year, and they left streaks on my coach that I had to spend an hour to remove. YMMV!
Yikes! Sorry to hear that.
Your rig looks great! I’d rather let someone else wash it as well.
Exactly! Thanks for watching!

Sorry I thought you had two vehicles. But still I agree a great deal. Does Chris come with a price tag? lol! 😂 😂
Thats not a bad price at all. We have thought about doing it a few times but still haven't. Ours needs washed bad!
It's worked well for us. Just sayin.
I think that was a great price. Considering it was two vehicles. By the way, we own a silver Jeep Liberty too. LOL
It's not for everyone but for us it works. Hopefully we'll get a few more years out of our jeep. 😊
Alu brightner and citrus shine is acid
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.

Yup! Chris really wanted it washed before we arrived at TTO. Eww, you can keep that sh..!! I'm sure Big Blue is nice and warm. 😊

Does Blue Beacon clean the roof?
Not that we're aware of.
