Tell the truth, do you keep that "special" bucket onboard your RV? Home base has its advantages, but the weather needs to cooperate. Leave a comment and tell us what you think. You can subscribe here...www.youtube.com/@oureverydaygetaway
I do not. If you limit the water waste into the black tank then the solid waste will be at ratio that may cause issues when you dump. Don’t skip the liquid unless you can skip the solids too. lol. Great video as always.
Great video Chris. On maintenance and lubrication. The Jug The question of the day, is that? How do women pee in a jug? Do they use a funnel ? We're all adults. Let's get this conversation going.
Wholeheartedly agree at this stage in life focusing on making memories with the love of your life while you still have each other is eternal. The big house, yard, all the stuff inside, maintenance and upkeep, and ever-increasing insurance was The needed anchor when raising children, working, and worshiping. Life is short and complex, but memories are forever and things all cease to exist.
A day in the life keeps us all focused on our goal at hand. I love all those little chores They make that old fashion at sunset taste so much better Cheers 🥃🥃‼️
Great video Chris. Here's a little tip for you. Buy a thick cheap yoga mat to lay on when you need to lay on the ground to do any kind of work underneath your rv. For those of us at a certain age, it really saves the knees 🤣. ~Kim
It is what we all do. Great tips as always and so cool to hear/see y’all enjoying and talking more about the Boondocking life. Be well and safe travels!
Great video. No special bucket onboard for us, not yet. We don't do much boondocking, at least not enough to worry about our tanks. Love the home base set up, have you thought about an RV port with a concrete pad, that would level it up..
Thanks! We are thinking about getting a port and a concrete pad when we can settle down for a longer period of time. Need to make it feel a little more homey.
Just be sure to use a jug with a large screw on lid and a solid handle. Liquid laundry soap jugs work well. Whatever you use you definitely want a screw on lid. No fun if it spills. Your home base is ideal. Why wouldn’t you want it to feel like your own private back yard campsite. Nice spot, good bones. . 👍🇨🇦
Good suggestion with the liquid laundry soap jug. Depending how long we stay in MD next year will determine what we do with the property around our rv.
Impressive video, Our Everyday Getaway. Looking forward to your next upload from you. I pressed the thumbs up icon on your post. Keep up the awesome work! Your insights on maintaining the hydraulic jacks were particularly helpful. How often do you recommend checking the hydraulic fluid levels for optimal performance, especially during longer trips?
I've been known to irrigation a tree while working in the yard. However, we are not in the typical suburban neighborhood. We don't have close neighbors. 😉
I prefer to use a tree instead of a plastic jug, just be sure you know which way the wind is blowing.😁 Looks like you have enough land there to put in a small RV park, JS😇
“Fruit Flies” might be little gnats that love to stay in drains. A splash of Clorox in the drains/traps a few nights will cure it. At least that’s what we did in the house would have to make sure it’s plumbing safe for the rv but I don’t know why it wouldn’t be.
You know, male patients in the hospital use those plastic jugs every day, just sayin. Not a big deal and a great way to save water while boondocking. Just be careful not to spill it 😂
Lol. . It’s normal.. private pilots carry a jug in their aircraft to pee during flights . Was that bird pee ! A drop of rain out of the sky ? Did you see a plane above you ..?

Thanks John. Yes it is. That may be just a little too much information. 🤷

I need to try that, thank you for the tip Kim!
That was a great video. My wife and I love you guys. I hope this winter we get the honor to meet you and tip back a couple blackberry crowns.
That sounds like a plan. We'd love to meet you both. We'll be in the AZ area this winter.
It is what we all do. Great tips as always and so cool to hear/see y’all enjoying and talking more about the Boondocking life.

Boondocking is definitely growing on us. Thanks for watching.
We love boondocking and these are all great tips. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you. We usually check ours once every month or two. We also have a warning light that flashes telling us to check the levels if we forget.
No special bucket on board but I do prefer the outdoors lol! Simple living- that’s what it’s all about!
Simple living is the best! Hope you guys are doing well and having a wonderful Christmas season with family and friends.
Watching 👀
Thanks for watching

Nothing wrong with watering the trees!
I did that when it was just me and a bunch of other guys way out in the middle of nowhere but never pissed in a bucket
Seems crazy but sometimes you just have to embrace the solo cup.🤪

You're so right about the wind, you've got to be careful with that!
If we are boondocking for an extended time, we use a jug. Not necessarily to save water but because we only have a 12 gallon black tank.
Makes perfect sense to us. Thanks for watching and enjoy your Christmas season.

We'll have to give that a try. Thanks for the great tip!
Is your home base your former home, it looks like a greenhouse ? Anyway enjoy your channel
No, we sold our home a few years ago. This property belongs to Katrina's family where they use to own/run a garden center.
I always pee in a bottle or outside as o boondock. A big water savings AND your black tank doesn’t fill up so quick.
Sounds like a good plan!
You know, male patients in the hospital use those plastic jugs every day, just sayin. Not a big deal and a great way to save water while boondocking. Just be careful not to spill it 😂
You know what, you're right!
No flies or fruit flies here in AZ . JS.😅
Your killing us! You know that right...🤣
@@oureverydaygetaway who me?????? Nooooooo! Lol
When your in a plane for 10 hours and no bathroom! What does anyone think happens! Lol
Very true.
A pilot is odd maybe like a bus driver going cross country. Is it long enough to be inside the jug ? Lol
🤣🤣
