Thank you so much! I love watching your videos when I'm not feeling well enough to sew myself - watching I learn something and feel the tiniest bit productive!
I did this years ago thinking I was so clever thinking of this technique but truth be known I must have seen it on someone’s site. I just love this idea. Thanks for reminding me about this. Your bags are great.
Hello! I have been entertaining grandkids and having a fun summer but life is getting busier thru August. I hope you have a cheerful week ahead! Thank you for posting your video and for all that you do for the quilting community!
Oh my! Why have I never thought to sew the seams with the side up that you just sewed to be able to see which way the prior seams went?? haha But actually have not used the grid fusible in awhile. May have to get mine out & make some of these now 😊😊 Great video & great projects! Love, love that last one 💗💗
I loved this video. Clear instructions, easy to follow. Do you carry the fusible webbing for this project, or suggestions as to where I can find this? Thank you!
Yes we do. Just give us a call at 641-585-2438. We also have kits for this project as well which can be found on our website at www.thequiltedforest.com/kits/products/504/Nantucket_Mini_Charm_Bags/ Or, just give us a call and we can help you over the phone.
@@thequiltedforest thanks for the quick reply. These are super cute and I have the perfect mini charms to use to make a few one day soon. Love your tutorials, keep them coming!
It is a very helpful video showing the step by step but disappointing that the inside seams are unfinished. Would be nicer if the lining was made separately in order for the inside to have a nice clean finish.
I would like to make this bag 14/15 inches instead of 7.5 inches. Have you ever done this? If so how many square and rows should I have for the Scrappy version. Thanks
The grid is already on the fusible surface. Easy peasy! If you'd like some, or want a kit, just give us a call at 641-585-2438. We do have kits for the Nantucket Mini-Charm Bags on our website at: thequiltedforest.com/other/products/504/Nantucket_Mini_Charm_Bags/
Hi Cindy. Great question! I actually used 4 different feet in this video: 1/4" Foot - for piecing Walking Foot - for machine quilting. It feeds all the layers through at the same time to make it easier to quilt. Open Toe Foot - this helps you see exactly where you're sewing Zipper Foot - as the name suggests, I use this one when sewing zipper's into projects Happy Quilting!

The big zipper was less expensive than the small zipper. This particular brand of zippers are priced so that you can cut them down to the size you need.
These are charming little bags and your directions are spot on! Thank you.
I made 24 of these in various colors two years ago and now I am working on 14 more for gifts.
You do such a beautiful job with everything you make and your presentation is fantastic.
This tutorial made it better to understand then reading it. Thanks!
I love making these! And they are a perfect size and so easy to enlarge! Thanks!
Very cute, but agree, be nicer in larger size,,more useful. Tjankyou for the tutorial. Hugs, Chel🌸

How long is the zipper? Looks 14” with plenty of room to spare. What size would you recommend? Would a 12” work too?
Yes, mine are 14" zippers from Terry Atkinson Designs. But a 12" zipper would also work.

Can you make it bigger
Do you have to draw the grid? Or does your fusible come with the grid?

What is the name of the foot you’re using on that machine, please?

Kinda confusing when making all bags at once 😮
The more you watch it the easier it gets, LOL! 😜😝😂
Why waste such a big zipper on such a small project?
The big zipper was less expensive than the small zipper. This particular brand of zippers are priced so that you can cut them down to the size you need.
