Created in just over four months, this CGI 3D animated short film made extensive use of motion capture in order to create the animation seen throughout the film. Made using Cinema 4D, Redshift, Substance Painter, Zbrush, and After Effects. Motion Captured using Noitom’s Perception Neuron 3.

really happy to see that not every second matches up with the mocap, it shows that you understood that some things could be better and some things are too cartoonish to be able to do in mocap :)

Everything about this from the animation but also the music and the use of silence is just amazing. Don't think I'll be eating Lucky Charms for a while, so uh ... mission accomplished I guess 😂
A cool short film would be like a classic Christmas film, kinda like a mixture of the old look of claymation, but with the new modern technology

It looks like you are using facial mocap. Are you? What are you using? Or are you just really into the part but the face is done manually afterwards?
lol I'm just really into the part. I animate the faces by hand since I find consumer facial mocap isn't quite good enough for the type of animation I do
@@KrisET This is the slowly dawning realization of mine. I don't want to admit it since I've already spent quite a bit of money...any advice or places I should learn from to optimize the speed of animating the face?
@@binyaminbass for facial animation, I'm afraid I can't think of anything specific. Since my facial animation is already pretty basic, I can't say I'm much of an expert. I often just have a few facial poses from shot to shot (by design), so its very simple to animate the faces on my end. For more complex animations, I can't really say what might be best to look at
@@KrisET Actually, that's a great answer. It sounds a little easier when you put it that way. That's perfect for the stylized look you have.
@@KrisET it still looks good man I also really love the detail of when you put the last leprechaun friend on the desk and when your Hand comes up it bunds into one of them that was nice attention to detail
