- Today I talk about a documentary I watched recently about the fyre festival! This thing was a real piece of work.... it includes the likes of Billy Mcfarland, Ja Rule, and others. They wanted this to be the music festival of a lifetime, but what they got in return was the real story.

(Just pretend FC5 & FC: ND didn't happen, even though the latest it could have been set is before FC5.)
Sypnosis: Five years after the events of Far Cry 3, Jason Brody was called by his brother, Riley for help as he claimed that his plane got taken down by SAMs in an island. Before the call could end, Jason got kidnapped then transported to the same island Riley's in to finds himself seing Vaas, a former pirate that was suppossedly killed by Jason. Vaas claims that he now works with someone named Daniel as he's about to hold the visitors of the FYRE Festival hostage on the island. Vaas also revealed that his ex-girfriend, Lisa Snow and his friends, Daisy and Oliver are attending the festival as well. It's now up to Jason to rescue his friends and the festival from both Vaas and Daniel.
P.S: I know this basically ripping off FC3 and I also (probably) get some names and grammar wrong but this is probably how I imagine if a FC game is based on this scam.

I’m so happy for the amazing people that donated to the woman’s restaurant and the people of the island.... they shouldn’t have had to but I’m glad ppl are so kind still
I hadn't much money at the time but I sent 30€(I'm from 🇮🇪) to help her out. Wished it could have been a lot more. It was absolutely disgusting how she, and the islanders were treated.
It seems that the Internet got together and helped out not just that wonderful lady, but many others from the islands too.
I've done some promotion , I've put on gigs and it is RIDICULOUS, I mean CRAZY how difficult it is to just bring over a band and get a venue and tickets together. That's the easy part. Getting backline(soundsystem essentially) accommodation, the items on the rider, travel, promotion etc it really is so much work.
The fact that he thought he could get it all together so quick is INSANE.
I don't feel particularly sad for the majority of the people who went and got totally ripped, but there were loads of kids who got cheap tickets and it was their chance at going to a paradise like island, see cool music acts, maybe mix with influencers etc...but the majority of course were twats with too much of daddy's money! A lesson here and there won't hurt!

@@damedameslame It has lmao, i started doing it and it went great, lost over 20 pounds but then my life started to turn kinda shit and i gave up, i’ve started to pick it back up these past two months, working on my diet and my lifting, so far i’ve lost 10 pounds, it’s slow and steady but i know i’ll get to my goal eventually. My goal is to lose another 10-20 pounds :)

most people who went spent like 1200 on tix or something, for an all inclusive trip/festival thats super cheap. so most of em were just regular ass humans who gots bamboozled
I keep seeing stories about shady young adults with rich parents scamming rich people for millions of dollars, and they manage to pull it off because of their parent's connections. A friend of mommy and daddy gives them some cash, then tells their other rich friends to do the same, and it just spirals from there. I can't even say I feel bad for them, because instead of bothering to do any research into what they're funding, they just hand their money over because of who their parents are. Instead of maybe giving some less wealthy people with more solid ideas a chance, they'd rather support entitled rich kids who have never had to work for anything, which will be their downfall.
It wasn't the rich kids that went though. $12,000 tickets is fake news. The tickets sells as low as $500 to $1,200 that covers the flight, place to stay, and food in the Bahamas for TWO weeks. I think anyone would've jumped into that if they had the chance, not to mention all the promotions on social media made it seemed like a legit festival.
@@moonflowlatte Oh yeah, I knew about that. I was referring to the behind the scenes process of getting loans and investors. They never would have had the chance to make Fyre fest look legit to the public if it weren't for the investors who fronted the money for all those social media promos. There's another case that I can't remember the specifics of, but there was a woman who started some sort of medical company claiming that they had some revolutionary technology to administer shots through a less painful means, like a finger prick or something (like I said, I'm not 100% sure exactly what it was). They actually didn't have the technology, but still got loads of investors on board through her parent's connections. Now all of those investors, just like the ones for Fyre, are out millions of dollars, and it's their own fault for not looking deeper into what they were funding.
