All the county commissioner had to do was tell the officer he was "travelling" and wasn't engaged in commerce. Works every time!

Daytona is in Flagler Co. You must drive 95 on I 95. Gotta stay ready for the racetrack. My car was murdered by a semi on I95 in St Johns county.

I'm imagining a guy pushing his rocket-powered car out of the garage and running it down a stretch of highway that was just finished that was still closed.... But finding out a state patrol officer was at the end of the stretch

I don't think the officer could have done anything about his driving off at the end.. he didn't burn rubber, and acceleration cannot be deemed unsafe when merging back to highway speeds. Just my 2cents

Cops extend "professional courtesy" to other cops and government officials all the time. The only reason this video is being leaked was probably too politically smear the guy, or because the cops have an issue with him...
Besides claiming he ran the county he's not exactly acting outrageous... And it's not like anyone else who is in that same position with that same car wouldn't do otherwise
