- Thanks for joining me this year in this watercolor journaling journey. I hope to paint in my journal most days of the year and invite you to join me. We don't need big resolutions, just gentle intentions to tend to our creative soul a little bit everyday. And learn a little something along the way.

Beautiful color combination. I like it vertical. And, yes please... do more simple abstracts. Thank you! ❤😊
Love blue and orange together!! Definitely vertical!
The word 'play' is the key word for this piece. Thank you for the idea. I find it inspirational as I definitely don't play enough. ❤
😊😊😊
Such fun 🥰. It’s always nice to get out of a rut and just play. Thanks!! And I like it vertical.
Just love the abstract line and wash; it makes me "squiggle and shake." It is my favorite watercolor technique. I agree with hanging it vertical--and THANK YOU for adding in that last oval at the end. I was looking at that spot thinking it would be a good place for another pen line or circle! Your videos are great to watch on Sunday mornings while I drink my tea. Thank you!
I love abstract work, and these colours are fab! Thanks so much!
Definitely vertical ❤
This is going to be loads of fun after I finish laundry thank you for another interesting fun exercise ❤😊
Thanks for giving us permission to play with our art. It’s so easy to get into the rut of “have-tos” and miss opportunities to be creative from our own visions.
Play is sooooo important in art. Thank you for watching and your kind words.
I like it both ways! I would frame it so that I could switch it whenever I wanted to.
Great idea. Thanks for watching!
Vertical makes it feel as if all the dots and circles are coming up and out of the V of the black lines and horizontal gives the feeling of the dots and circles are falling from the black line V.
I love this thoughtful critique. Thank you for watching and commenting 😊
I like it vertical and if hanging horizontal, I'd have the lines coming out of the bottom left corner. Great piece, thanks for sharing!
Absolutely verticaly! A big Thank-You for sharing your process with us ❤🥰
Love this and the colours. Thank you 😊
Vertical gets my vote! I loved this video. The colors you chose are beautiful! Your tutorials are the best! Thank you Shana for sharing them with us!
My pleasure!
very good exercises. Let see the magic off watercolor. Thank you
Thank you, Denise.
Vertical for sure!
😁👍
I love this!! Thanks for all of your wonderful tutorials- I'm a big fan
Thank you. 🙏
Thanks! Love the abstract pieces, Shana, but mostly love the variety of your tutorials…so different, but always teaching an important watercolor concept.
Thank you so much, Pam. I love to switch it up and paint a variety of things and take you all along g for the journey. Thank you for your support so I can continue to bring you new videos each week.
This is on my to do list for today. It looks like it will be a fantastic way to let go of stress. Thank you for sharing this with us 😊
Have a great day of painting, Cathy!
I like the colors but this would be out of my comfort zone. I would be afraid of just making a mess! Lol like you said, intimidating
Thanks for watching Kelly. I totally get that. I definitely have to push myself to do these types of pieces. 😊
those are great colors together
Love this one! So much fun and love the colors! many thanks!
Thank you! 😊
Love this so
much, Shana!
I like it vertical and I love the colors! Thanks Shana 😊❤
Thank you, Linda!
Portrait! I love the color choices. Often I have trouble making 3 cohesive colors. I have some winners but also some bad choices. You mentioned not using indigo much. I LOVE that color!
I like it!!!! Vertical!
This resonated so much with me! Thank you! 🥰
I’m so glad you enjoyed this one.
Nice choice for colors Shana. It's good fun doing abstract painting.
Thank you. 😊
I am planning to refurbish my Lounge and I could use small colour combinations to find the look & colours I want in my Lounge and paint a big version along your abstract ideas in varying sizes. I have loads of combinations to try. Thank you so much for sharing 💐
So glad this was helpful for you redecorating. Choosing color combos is so exciting.
This is lovely - the color combos are soothing. I do like the piece vertical & would suggest you flip it vertically the other way - I bet that would like nice as well. Thank you for explaining your process so thoroughly &, if possible, I would love to see you take on some more abstract pieces. Thank you.
Thank you.
Definitely vertical but perhaps small circles pointing up.
I like the vertical. You are inspiring me to start a watercolor journal.
Yes! Start one and you won’t be disappointed. Thank you for watching. 😁
I didn’t like it at first, but love the end product. 🎉
Sometimes you have to trust the process. 😊😊😊
Vertically. Thanks, Shana.
Thank you for watching.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
😊😊😊
That is awesome EVEN THOUGH I'm not a fan of abstract, but am going to try some simple ones soon, and orange and blue are my least fave colors LOL. I like the purple/yellow complimentary so would try that. This is really wonderful though. As for which way to hang it? I would probably change it now and then because both look stunning! Thanks for sharing this lovely piece, Shana.
Thank you, Kathy!
Vertical😊😊
👍
Vertical.
