- Well I ordered from Liveaquaria.com again after speaking with a great customer service agent. She told me she would make sure a shipping manager packed my live aquaria order and also told me the red cobra's were back in stock. Well here we are with the results. The Purple Snowflake Guppies are WRONG again. This Live Fish unboxing was another disaster!

Well I mean I ordered from there once - all 4/5 fish disappeared within 2 days (all other fish remained fine) and one of the fish sent was way smaller than it should have been. They did nothing. They refunded the urchin that had to be shipped later on because it went out of stock after I ordered of course because the urchin basically arrived dead. As for the fish that disappeared they would not refund them. So out of that shipment I got one fish for $85
That is terrible!
I ordered one time from this company and it was a disaster and I have never ordered from them again, I think you should find another suitable place to buy fish from.

the radiant heater in the background is my only question here, looks like the 30kbtu that heats my whole house, if I had that in a room this size it would shut off an on every minute and you'd smell unburnt gas.
Nope, I never smell gas and it goes on an off as needed.
I love the net falling into the bucket. I get irritated every time I do that. 😵

Hmm, im not an expert on any of this, but i do know i ordered a bunch of stuff off of liveaquaria (corals, ora clownfish, algae plants, emerald crab, snails) and they all came correct, alive, and healthy. All are still thriving as of now. So far so good with my order.
I’ve heard the marine mail order is much better that fresh, but I’ve never ordered marine before.

@Chewy Ltd Yeah, the female showing a bent spine, in their advertising basically, would be a major red flag for me. If they can't even be careful enough to not show a crappy bent spine fish in their catalog, how bad is their guppy stock truly then?
@Chewy Ltd Absolutely! That's why I've switched to getting guppies from breeders where I can be more assured of a true breeding strain and have a decent idea of the possible or probable genetics involved. I've got the last few offspring of pet shop guppies in my tub pond just for the heck of it and to let them live out their lives. And I think if I was to even consider pet store guppies in the future I would only get males. At least with males you can get some idea of possible genetics involved. With pet store females it's a total crapshoot and not worth the effort unless all you want are mutt guppies. Nothing wrong with mutt guppies, I just haven't had good luck with pet store guppies, at least not the females.
I had the same issue with this place. My fish order also came in 3 different shipments, on 3 different days, for 3 pair of guppy and a hillstream loach.

They sell from diff places, i wondered the same thing but i looked and it seems i got my inverts shipped from cali, the corals from wisconsin, and the ora fish from florida, however both times i ordered from them i was able to take advantage of a free shipping offer period or the $149 price for free shipping. All of my orders came alive and correct so far, i was very pleased. Though i read another comment saying i guess petco bought them? Thats troubling, im not a fan of petco or petsmart, both mainstream pet suppliers mistreat their critters much too often.

@@MichaelsFishRoom yes very much so, however like we said, i havent ordered freshwater, and you havent ordered salt, so both of us are probably recieving packages from different locations, so maybe their freshwater location isnt kept as well

We actually just uploaded a video this morning of some of the new additions we just got for Jack’s tanks, clown loaches, L135 plecos, reticulated hillstream loaches, couple weeks ago for an early July 4th sale....I’ve also ordered many things for my tanks in the past....ropefish, clown loaches, all kinds of stuff but usually get most of our supplies from Big Al’s because they have such good deals, but also have about 3 LFS’s we go to as well, here in Cleveland, which we are actually going to be uploading tours of soon....we primarily have a Health and Wellness channel here on The Tube, since I am a nurse and run the wellness program for a big company, but part of health and wellness is stress relief and all that so that’s where our aquariums and related adventures come into play....we’ve got some pretty cool designs and ideas and are always messing around with our tanks and other fishy adventures that we post along with our other vids about Health and wellness and conservation cause it’s all really related....👍

The quest for Purple Snowflakes continues. I had the same experience with saltwater cleanup crew from them but half were dead
So far this batch has all made it, but they are not what I bought. The red cobras are dirty too.

@@MichaelsFishRoom I'm from New York so only bigger ones like Petco and PetSmart which don't have any. Going to look into travelling to purchase one probably, just waiting to set-up my 40 gallon and letting it cycle before adding fish

I ordered from live aquaria in the past and very hesitant in the future. I ordered 30 Danios which from my experience are hardy AF, and every single one died within their return period. Luckily they refunded me but still.
Nobody buys fish expecting them to die and use their very generous return policy though.
So where IS a reputable place to buy fish online? I’ve LOVED Space City Fish for bettas but for like redtail sharks and other fish like that idk who to turn to. I know pet stores are always an option but I’d much rather get my fish from a fish dedicated place!

To me, if they have stuffed up more than once I never go back for more. I'm loving the new version of plop n drop... haha. it just shows your human and make mistakes like the rest of us.

You had to give a tour of your outdoor ponds specifically your Pleco pond and asked for suggestions how to clear it up by the end of the season the way I did mine was I used a like 18 gallon tote Rubbermaid tote drilled a hole toward the bottom on the side filled it with lava rock and sponges on top of that drill the hose at the top on the side to run back into the pond put a pump in the pond it pumps in the bottom up through the lava rock and sponges and back into the pond and it was Always crystal clear just a suggestion totally up to you just thought I would let you know that it definitely works for me

The red cobras are very low grade cobras. I will end up selling them at mutts in a few months when they are healthy

The red cobra are good but the snowflake are not! . I already check their website (liveaqaria) even they show the ugly fish, i mean the color is good but the body is like had physical defect. And I doubt to bought it with $7 pair (way expensive).
The red cobras are very low Quaility red cobras.....not much “cobra” pattern.
Can I buy from you I just want 1 oz because her website is not secure and I don't feel comfortable buying from there online.

I ordered 150 black neon tetras for a large planted tank. 2/3 of them died in quarantine. I've been keeping fish for years and I've never had issues with local fish stores, imperial tropicals and places like that. But every time I order from that company I have issues with their specimens. Now they won't refund you for losses. They only give you store credit. It's a joke and I'm just about done with them.

Well that’s a #HUGE disappointment. I won’t be ordering from them. Agreed, the names of guppies and discus is absolutely silly. Distributors trying to come up with new flashy names to sell the same damn fish. But if it works. On second thought, I have some Black & White Eagle Claw Plecos for sale if anyone is interested. 🤣

I would breed the pretty ones and put the dull ones in the mutt tank. I agree though not very impressive guppies.

The fish are supposed to be purged for 2-3 days before shipping to prevent waste buildup in the bag.

Whelp, wish I saw this video before ordering....
Got some deaths right out of the box, one shrimp looked near cut in half. Yeah, maybe rough ride...? But I also got a ghost shrimp in place of an amano.
I've sent some emails, some pictures, dead fish and shrimp in my freezer.
Their website looks pretty good, thought I'd be happier with my order.

I'm not sure how one of the amano shrimp I ordered came as a ghost shrimp, they look quite different...
3 of the 8 cardinal tetras I ordered were dead, one of the otos was missing an eye and dead shortly after removal from bag, 2 cherry shrimp dead, 1 amano. I'm looking at about 10% loss out of the box.
If they make it right without any hassle, I'll likely order again. If I get dead fish again, I'll assume shipping is far too rough and not order a 3rd time because I feel bad about the voyage killing fish. I mean, I get damaged inanimate objects all the time... I've just spent too much time driving around and not coming home with fish. The closest local place has ridiculous prices and I'd like not to patron the big 2 if I can help it.

I screwed up a plop n drop very badly one day. I went to plop a flying fox in but it was stuck in the bag so I had to stick my hand in and get it out... which was actually difficult cuz of how I idiotically cut the bag and where the fish was. Finally I got it and put it in the bowl of water.... I started walking over toward the tank and it jumped out of the net.. which was in the bowl and it landed on the ground. I flipped out and look ed around. Fi ally saw it.... but couldnt pick it up! The fish started flipping up off the ground and I slid my hand under it when it flipped. I dropped it in the tank and it's a great fish doing well. One of my favorites. Will not do that s*$& again! . Oh and I dumped a bag with snails into a big mixing bowl I stead of bucket and the water went wverywhere... even into a cupboard with clean fishes. I suck!

I bought a Bristle nose Pleco and 10 shrimp. The Pleco was barley alive and died shortly thereafter. There were only 9 Shrimp and 6 of them were dead already and the other 3 died while acclimating them. The water was very cloudy, stunk to high heavens, and the dead shrimp looked like they had been cooked. I called, sent them photos and filed under their Arrive Alive Guarantee. That was 3 months ago and I haven’t heard anything from them. Will never buy from them again. There Guarantee is false and not honored.

I only breed guppies for the look and not for profit so I wouldn’t be pleased but not furious but I understand why an actual breeder would be super pissed

Michael's Fish Room I’d be annoyed but again I wouldn’t be super mad. I’m basically that guy at the restaurant who orders something doesn’t get what he wants but doesn’t want to ask for a change. They’ll look good in the end and it personally doesn’t affect me

I think they sent you the correct fish. Their website states that their fish may not look like the picture which is always a red flag

I ordered from them. Had a fully cycled aquarium. All fish died within 3 days. Never again. Plus they are overpriced.
