  • In this episode we take on a bad roach infestation. We use this job as a training moment for our office staff and sales staff. This job was serious and there was a real roach problem. We really want to show why you can't take on an infestation on your own, but also the amount of effort that it takes to eliminate cockroaches. It takes more than spray to kill and eliminate roaches.
Comment below with questions about infestations, we will try to help out.
    Thanks for watching!

This has the vibe of one of those ghost Hunter shows but it’s pest control, I love the format!!!!

We may have preferred ghost hunting rather than roaches. Thanks for watching!

OMG, I needed a shower after watching this video. Hopefully your team was decontaminated and sterilized before going home. I would be very concerned about hitchhikers tagging along.
I cannot believe that people live like that. Nasty, just plain nasty. They say cockroaches will outlive humans so I'm not sure that even nuking that house would get rid of all of them.
All in all another excellent video guys. Thanks for posting and sharing.

No hitchhikers so far. It is sad that these conditions exist. Hopefully with help and education we can help raise awareness about roaches. Thanks for watching!

And people like this can afford houses. Makes me mad I can't get a house but if I did would take better care of it.

So I killed one roach In my house last nite right by my back door I haven’t seen any more. How do I know if I have a problem?

    • @pestcontrolguys

You can check cracks and crevice areas to make sure that there are no more. Depending on the type of roach, it could be a wood roach that ended up inside, they won’t infest like the others. If you see a few roaches then it is an issue.

Get a glue strip and put it under your sink and check it in a few days. If there are a bunch of roaches on it you have a problem. Best method to get rid of them is to buy bait. There is a brand called Avion that works great.

No way I’d live in that house. I'd lose it if I went into someone home and saw it like that….that house needs to be emptied, cleaned, then sprayed….. that plastic shelf needed to go outside into the trash… was the home owner not able to clean? They probably had roaches with the things they bagged up that will just get out later. I’m not trying to roach shame anyone… You don’t wear those clothes into your car do you? Yuck….was it a rental? That’s so disgusting… I lived in a rental with a few roaches but nothing like this, you can bet I cleaned that place upside down.

Well, that was after they supposedly cleaned. It is a rental, so that doesn’t help. It is sad how bad some people let thing get.

I just bought a new house and it appeared to be clean and well taken care of. The night I closed on it, I went to do a quick clean before we moved stuff in. I saw roaches in the drawers and top corners of the doorways in nearly every room. (My eye had never even thought to look there while doing a quick walk through when first seeing the house). They had air fresheners plugged in which I guess masked the smell. I’ve had to gut the entire kitchen and bathrooms but the smell seems WORSE! Do you have a suggestion for getting rid of the smell?

    • @pestcontrolguys
      @pestcontrolguys  Год назад +1

The smell is tricky. First determine what is holding the scent. If it is carpet, replace it, if it is wood clean it, if it is something that can be painted, painting it will help. If you have items that can be thrown out, that will help. It is the hidden areas that I’d be worried about. Best of luck, hope it works out.

@@pestcontrolguys thank you for your response. The house is still vacant. I’ve been treating with boric acid and nibor-D I haven’t seen any live or dead roaches in over a month, which is a great sign. I have a huge phobia of these. I have drilled holes in the wall voids to treat with Boric acid but will rip out sheet rock and insulation in the kitchen and bathrooms just to be safe. Hopefully that will also help!
