That song was SOOO amazing, Take Me Away Together as One.. You can tell Carmine's playing there and insane drums. That was my fave solo album of the 4 back then as a kid. A lot liked Ace which was great but Pauls for me personally hit me harder. Some great guitar parts too. One of my fave albums behind Diary and Blizzard..
@@artistsonrecord Thanks, the guitar solo on that Take Me Away Together as one, not sure if that's Bob Kulick is really special too , but Carmine even follows the guitar parts on that song in the riff. He doesn't just play a beat he accents each note of the riff.
Paul's solo album was the most accessible and 'Kiss' sounding and by far the best of the four. Actually every song is a standalone classic and I still blast it in my car.
Not true at all!!! Peter's was very good and underrated and many people think the same as well!!!! All four of them are talented and each had a different style and sound on their solo albums!!!!
I guess that you can say that Paul Stanleys solo album was the one that had the least surprises. Obviously there was some songs on Gene $immons solo that raised a few eyebrows, and Ace hasn’t shown a lot of what he could do, and the album he came out with kind of took everybody by surprise, but Paul had the most solid “KISS-type” album of them all. Peter? He made an album you could play for your grandparents.
@@kasperkjrsgaard1447 yeah I'd agree, that was my point really, Paul stayed with what he knew, which was being the main man in Kiss, his album definitely could have been a Kiss album, almost
Drummer Richie Fontana played the first 4 songs. They also used another drummer in LA..At least three different drummers played on Paul Stanley's 78 solo album
Fontana drummed in NY when they degin work on pauls solo..Paul decided to finish the record in LA and Fontana didn't go..So in LA , they used another drummer along with Carmine to finish the record.
@JeffTullock-fs4de Allan Shwartzberg. Fucking incredible. He played with literally everyone. Kiss, The Spinners, Mountain, Pat Travers, Peter Gabriel, Alice Cooper. He played on the star wars soundtrack too. I was 7 when the solo albums came out and I remember being kind of dissatisfied with genes comparatively. Paul and Aces made my eyes open wide
PAUL STANLEY IS SUCH A GREATE ALBUM SO IS GENE AND ACE, FOR PETER CRISS YOU MUST BE IN THAT MOOD ,SOMETIMES I AM, GENE SIMONS IS THE MOST CREATIVE ALBUM
Love Jake and Bob. I visited the mansion in Leesburg Florida where Randy Rhoads died. Very surreal. I like Carmines playing but he seems to be a bit of a narcissist. At one of the Bonzo bash tribute shows for John Bonham, Carmine appeared to make it the “Carmine Bash” and chopped up “Black Dog.” He starts out with his own mini drum solo (of course) then chops up parts of the song trying to out play Bonham’s parts, all the while missing important cues and near the end just butchers it.
Ace and Paul had the two best solo albums. Gene's was okay, Peter's album...I can only listen to a couple of tracks on that one. I love Peter but I just couldn't get into that album.
Jake e Lee is badass!!! It’s sucks he got the closer to the short end of The stick from the industry politics and crap that, goes on… I guess it’s a double edged sword, he deserved a lot more but he will be talked about forever with the best….. he’s always in the upper echelon of guitar players when guitar players are talked About and he was the guitarist For ozzy…. He did have a number one song with Badlands but that group kind of didn’t bode well over time, the music lasts but the bad rap and bad industry dealings with that band are saddening but they do have a number one song! 🙏🏽
So Bob didnt play on Pauls solo album . .As far as the fills carmine did. They arent hard to do. the first one is more challenging than the last one. neither are what I would call hard to do. But he had a killer sound, big thunderous drum tones.
You guys do realize you don't have to kiss Paul's ass, he already thinks he is the best musician in the history of Rock and Roll? Lol 😂😂😂😂 Little does he know that Peter and Ace were amazing and fantastic and the real talent and heart and soul of the original lineup!!!! Team Peter and Ace always
Someone who made such a fabulous solo album with such extraordinary beautiful ❤songs can not be negative. Because he put his ego in his music 🎶.He gave us great music.
That song that he is referring to, "Take Me Away (Together As One)", has always been my favorite song on that album.

Thank You for your comment, I will let Carmine know! 🙏

Amazing drummer ever since The Fudge! : )
fudge, and jethro tull, predate Zep, Purple, and even Sabbath - I think - as the first hard rock band!
Paul's Solo Album is excellent!
Paul's solo album was the most accessible and 'Kiss' sounding and by far the best of the four. Actually every song is a standalone classic and I still blast it in my car.

carmine has achieved a lot and that song is the album highlight
Paul's 78 solo album is probably the most complete of the solo albums and I'd say shows he's the heartbeat of Kiss
I guess that you can say that Paul Stanleys solo album was the one that had the least surprises.

Agree 100%
Paul's is a masterpiece to me. It really was a KISS album for sure. 🎉🎉🎉
I love Paul Stanley solo álbum.
Nobody drums like Carmine Appice..
He was and always will be my favourite drummer..!

Bellissimo album solista di paul stanley con grandi ospiti in primis carmine appice
Paul wrote about Carmine in his book. But did not "bash" him. This alone is a great appreciation🌹
Carmine is one of the best
The best song in the album
Interesting about this time of Paul's solo album is Carmine was drumming up a storm and making loads and loads of great music with Rod Stewart too.
In Carmines book Advancing Rock Drums , He teaches linear
Rudiments, which is how syncapated fills can be approached
Paul got Carmine. Ace got Anton Fig. The 2 reasons Ace and Paul's solo albums were the 2 best
Great analogy. I’ve heard the guys name but can’t remember. Gene’s drums are fantastic too.
@JeffTullock-fs4de Allan Shwartzberg. Fucking incredible. He played with literally everyone. Kiss, The Spinners, Mountain, Pat Travers, Peter Gabriel, Alice Cooper. Carmine Appice only played on "Take Me Away".
The other drummers were Richie Fontana and Craig Krampf
Love Paul Stanley's solo album. I still listen to it regularly
Always thought it was better than any KISS album. Still a great record.
PAUL STANLEY IS SUCH A GREATE ALBUM SO IS GENE AND ACE, FOR PETER CRISS YOU MUST BE IN THAT MOOD ,SOMETIMES I AM, GENE SIMONS IS THE MOST CREATIVE ALBUM
In my opinion, Jake's outro solo on Rock & Roll Rebel was way better than on Bark at the Moon.

Carmine's live work in Cactus and BBA is head and shoulders above ANY live drumming by Bonzo. Not even close.
Carmine needs a confidence boost
Ace and Paul had the two best solo albums. Gene's was okay, Peter's album...I can only listen to a couple of tracks on that one. I love Peter but I just couldn't get into that album.

Long live ACE FREHLEY!!!
The biggest negative factor of kiss is the malignant narcissism of Gene and Paul.
Not Ace and the drum clown's drug use?
Someone who made such a fabulous solo album with such extraordinary beautiful ❤songs can not be negative. Because he put his ego in his music 🎶.He gave us great music.
@@HappyMachorino-bd8no There are hundreds of very excellent performers, singers, actors, who suffer from Malignant Narcissism.

Surprisingly, not only Paul and Gene?
Ace was the best solo album by far. Paul’s was ok. Only a couple of good songs.
Pretty sure Carmine invented wood.... n probably music. Stanley's album was pretty avg . They all were bar Aces
Wish carmine played on all of pauls album the other drummer was crap!
I thought all of the solo albums were terrible except Ace,the rest were just crap.
For an ignorant everything is crap.
