This hella spoke to me. I was sober for 2 years and I stopped working my program of recovery. It was easy for me to go back to drinking and using. I relapsed for two years and I acted out of alignment consistently and surrounded myself with people for the sake of validation versus love. I’ve been sober again for 39 days and although the compiled pain I’ve been running from is hurting to process, I can look in the mirror and smile at myself.❤ don’t give up hope, I wanted to DIE to get rid of the pain and frustration. But now I’m ALIVE and PROCESSING with patience and gratitude. It only gets better when you stop fighting it.
I relapsed tonight and past week on and off after 5 months sober. I'm very high and barley holding it together rn, I got ahold of it quicker this time and will be getting help in the morning. God bless everyone, stay strong, I wish I had watched these videos before but I didnt. I'm sorry to myself but I'm stronger then I was a year ago , I got this, we got this!
Every time I get clean for a while, I fall down, I really don't know what to do, I know the outcome but still I go back
I am a chronic relapser of coke and alcohol. Im in tears thank you for giving me hope.
Me too… how you doing now?
After COVID, I want to give Tommy a big hug. He’s such a blessing.
Thanks Bruce. For now, Virtual hug right back at you. --Tommy
Good job Tommy, always good to hear you... relapse: I look at it like this ; Im either cultivating and nurturing that which I am, or that which I am not... The book tells me that nothing will insure sobriety greater than intensive work with another addict or alcoholic. That action takes me out of selfishness and self centered behaviors...
Living to share positivity about a relapse is a very powerful way to carry the message of recovery to those who are still sick...
Get to a meeting... love you guys
Haha - I kinda need to not keep company with myself alone! And you nailed it about healing people.
This guy has a very genuine smile and a beautiful Spark, thank you very much for the great vid video.

6:15 susceptibility 8:13 will I ever get there
I'm having frequent slips from the past two months, I would use for 24 hours and then I'll get back up again and never use again for a week then again slip. I've been attending zoom 12 step meetings but I'm stuck in this slip cycles. Often times I forgot that I'm in recovery and this really suck being stuck. Can you suggest something?
hello,
my name is tarun...i have been smoking marijuana for about 5 years now and I quit is recently and its been 90 days without any assistance or rehab but I feel my anxiety, stress, depression and overthinking has skyrocketed looking for some help...any help is much appreciated...
only 4 days sober. chronic relapsee for 2 years. i refused to go to rehab but doing the 12 step program. dont know if im crazy.
Your situation is exactly like mine? Today I have 4 years. Would you like some feedback on your situation? A couple simple questions to you and a couple of observations will direct you to figure out your situation.
if you have four days sober you can put together many more if you just know what to do
+Byron TGI Friday yeah, sure..... fire away!
My opinion. There are reasons that we self medicate on a regular basis. Only put down our substances, the reasons we self-medicated in the first place are still there. We've just numbed ourselves to those issues. The secret is to get to the core issues once and for all and be rid of the toxicity of them. I can say from experience, working the 12 steps is the best therapy out there. By the fourth step, it will become evident why you use and can't stop. Once you've worked all the steps, you will have peace along with no need to self-medicate. At least that's my experience.
Ty im 45 in rehab again ive relapsed 100 times in my life..Im known that as soon as I get in shape and rebuild i tear it all down...Im turning inside out..thankyou for this message
Thank-you for your wisdom & compassion. I was feeling so terribly alone and isolated this week after relapse. Glad I found this video. Goodnight recovery community ❤️🩹
I relapse every 3 months it seems. I hate it. I go gym, eat well, don't party then something triggers me
Am the same way
Me to
@Jack T Cocaine and alcohol
@Jack T You say it doesn't take away my problems maybe I wasn't taking it because I had problems I might have been taken it to change the way I was feeling There are lots of reason why people use drink and drugs problems are just one of them but I appreciate your concern God-bless
Am I mistaken or is he someone who never relapsed?
This dude seems likes a gr8 drinking buddy, hit me up if u wanna party mate
I don't think you understand that alcohol is a drug...
Blah blah evolution, ego...recovery sucks because of the pseudoscience and quack philosophy
I'm trying to comprehend exactly what it is that you are saying. Addiction and Recovery working the 12 steps has been beneficial to me. And countless others that I know. However, there is rigorous maintenance involved. This condition, can take one back down quite quickly, and without Mercy.
Yeah, I didn't find anything this guy said useful. He's been sober since he's a teen or young adult, I believe. Time to move on to different work. He's not relatable to someone struggling.
