    Your videos are good... also can you suggest whether it is good to stay in basement with a kid .. specially during winters

    • @NautankiMom
      @NautankiMom  Год назад

      There are a few good basements that get a lot of sunlight which means bigger windows, so that might be manageable but usually without a job & credit score it's harder to get normal houses as well & basements are easier to get.

    • @NautankiMom
      @NautankiMom  Год назад

      also, sometimes apartments are cheaper to get as you might get something which is all inclusive of utilities. Below is one of the apartment websites which might help you to get understanding.

      Education is free except university education, Toronto weather is extreme cold from December end till March but manageable and healthcare is good for general physician issues but specialist appointments take time

    Will education for kids in public schools free if one holds a study permit or work permit?

    • @NautankiMom
      @NautankiMom  Год назад +1

      Hi Shilpa, First of all, if education is greater than six months then minor children coming to Canada with their parents need to apply for a study permit and you don’t need to provide a letter of acceptance from a school when they apply for a study permit.
      Second, if there is a fee or not you need to find the school district board, for example, Mississauga Ontario district board is Peel district board and contact them for example communications@peelsb.com , if they will charge a fee or not for such scenario as I am not 100% sure but I am assuming it should be free for work permit holders as they will be paying taxes.

      here are additional details for Toronto School Board on the below thread , where they have told about in what scenario they don't charge a fee. So you definitely need to check with the respective school board for 100% surety.

    Hello, thank you for making good videos.
    It would be good if you can tell that is it possible to survive with one salary with family of four with 5000 CAD in hand after tax?
    Also what would be the average expense after owning the place where you are staying currently if we give 20% down payment?
    I would really appreciate if you answer my query

    • @NautankiMom
      @NautankiMom  Год назад

      Hi Manjot, this is a personal call as the amount of money required depends upon your lifestyle, I can talk about my expectation which is around 5000$ per month after tax 2500 -2700 for a townhouse which can be reduced by 1000 if you are ok to live in basement or apartment + 1000$ for house expenses which will include grocery & once or twice a month going out including taxi plus some saving, 95% home cooking and no car
      And then start adding more money based on your need , car expenses for cheaper new car means 400-500$ per month + 100-200 for gas and 200$ for car insurance

    • @NautankiMom
      @NautankiMom  Год назад

      on top of this if you buy a home your monthly expense will go up based on the monthly mortgage payment assuming you are planning to buy 800K - 1 million house, so you would need more money if you buy house for any additional cushion

      Thank you for replying.
      I was calculating the cost of living in Europe vs Canada. As per my calculations it seems, In Canada 63 percent of the household income will go if we buy an apartment where as in Europe this is around 30 percent of the household income.
      Not sure is it worth moving to Canada from Europe. Even with 2 kids your household expense will not cross 50 percent whereas in Canada it will be 70 percent or event more.
      I am asuming 10000 CAD household income in Canada and 6000 Eur income in Europe

    • @NautankiMom
      @NautankiMom  Год назад

      Hi Manjot, Based on current canada's crazy housing prices, this can surely happen, we are here because it's easiest to get citizenship.

      Thank you once again for replying.
      There are not many videos on RUclips which gives realistic comparison between Canada and Europe.
      This is my personal feeling, with the crazy housing market in Canada it will be difficult to survive with one income of 5000 if due to some reason your partner is not able to earn.
      I know its a big decision to choose between Canada and Europe and looking at the cost of living in Canada it even more difficult.
      I always wanted to migrate to Canada because of culture and friends but now it looks difficult to me to choose Canada.
