Having turned 15 (1985) & on an European trip, I caught a Men At Work, a Duran Duran, & a Depeche Mode concert. All were premium; however, there was something unique with DM's sound (MLGore scoring the tracks I am asuming had/s a lot to do with it). This track is in my overall Top 10 favorite tracks (ever) easily! Furthermore, you could easily be a sessions/live keyboardist for them - your are that good! CHEERS! I was 16, and having just discovered DM with Black Celebration, I bought a keyboard and started creating DM-like sounds. Never got too far because of studying reasons, but I've always kept dreaming about standing behind a pile of synths and playing that music as you do. Keep doing this because your sound is terrific and not secondarily there is a teenage dream to be kept alive ;-)

The mixing changes a lot the sound, compressor, studio console and remember those recordings were made on tape. There were some variables that had their own texture too.

by the way...where do you take your keyboards when they need some mantenience???... I live in Baja California, mexico so for me is very simple to corss the border to San Diego but it would be nice to have another options, if you live near of this area...
Great remake from a very underrated song of them. I wonder if they ever did it live, besides some old top of the pops vids there isn't anything to be found. Also nice you don't deal with little key mishits, I play myself and that's reality. Many concerts are just too perfect, makes you wonder what's actually live and just preprogrammed..
All over a very nice job but i do miss the original baseline as found on the 12" (the one that starts of the track) - u do a simlified version (but who care´s =) Very nicely played!!
