Played on my own way with intro. This is the first take. Backtrack recorded in Pro Tools.
Note some problem when I try to change the voice on the mid DX7 II (It was on edit mode, so I had to exit, then change voice).
Upper: Yamaha DX7 Mk1 (Original Cartridge's Harp preset)
Mid: Yamaha DX7 II FD
Lower: Kurzweil PC1x

@@MRS2291132 That's DX5 in the video playing, The original keyboard player died, or one of them died in 2017, the founder of the band also died back in of 2021 sadly. Only jimmy left now out of the three sadly.

My dad used to have a DX27, and I remember finding a patch on it and thinking 'that must be the one they used on Small Town Boy' and lo and behold you're using it here!
Lovely spin on an 80's classic. DX7 and PC1 work well together :)

Ah the DX7. For those accurate Michael W. Smith covers! I had one and a Korg DW-8000. I could barely play but the helicopter sound was worth it. "Run away, run away, run away"
