    I know people don't like ebike reviews, BUT this ebike opens the door for summertime camping trips.

      My wife and I got e bikes last march dan, I have a heart condition and it has helped me get out and about in the country lanes around where we live, I have done1300 miles since march, I would like one that is good for off road so I could go on the bridle ways as well as roads, we got pannier bags and we put a tarp in in with our gas stove and cooking gear and go out for picnic, we keep thinking about trying a night out under the stars but it’s a lot to pay out if my health stops it. Back in the summer I was doing a minimum of 100 miles over the weekend with my wife, she loves her e bike, she has a basket on the front and buys eggs from beside the road lol

    You can limit speed on all ebikes ,and even if you dont limit it chances of it been seized are slim to none,just look at all the delivery driivers on ebikes,do you think theres are limited?no chance, just enjoy the bike mate👍

    Just got this very bike, same colour as well. Love it. Ive done 60 miles in a week. Doesnt sound much but the weather has been so bad. Its powerful. I use it on tiny country roads but in Wales we have really steep hills and the 1000w motor gets me up all of them. Its illegal but ive never even seen the police where I cycle. The issue would be if you had a crash and there was an insurance claim against you. Youll find the battery lasts well on the flat but the bars on the battery go down when you use the assist more on hills.

    Twist and go not legal here in the UK and power/speed possibly as well.All standard electric bikes are limited to a max of 15.5mph assisted speed, and 250W output.

      agreed.. Singapore ebike standard and uk is the same.. think we followed UK style.. 25km/h.. 20kg.. only pedal assist.. less then 70cm wide (measured by handlbar)..

    Think ebike camping and bushcraft is a giant step forward. Helps us recce a good pitch that would be hard in ordinary circumstances, using Shanks's pony. And youre right about the speed thing. 15mph is more than enough, even allows us to use a bike trailer too for our kit. The faster you go, the quicker the battery will burn out and the less miles youll clock up. Makes you wonder what treats we have in store in the future Dan, cheaper prices for some quality bikes, batteries getting more advanced....could be very interesting. Love the idea of a fold up ebike

    If you are only using it on canal paths and off road i wouldn't worry about de restricting the power mate. I have done just over 2000 miles on my 5kw 50mph ebike and not had any trouble at all. As long as you slow down when riding close to other people and not riding like a lunatic you should be fine. Cant wait to see what adventures you are able to go on this thing.

    I think there is laws against the option for it to be twist and go in the uk, it might need to be registered with the dvla and have insurance I think. A lad I know had his sized just because of the twist and go. Might be something to look into mate. All the best.

    as long as you don't ride like a tool that would pass at a glance as a 250w, I'd imagine it's 1000w peak, and maybe 500-750w normal, throttles are allowed for the first 5mph as far as I'm aware, to find a rough charge time divide the battery Ah by the chargers output

  • @Randomisrory
    @Randomisrory 8 месяцев назад

    I wouldn’t worry about power etc you wouldn’t be different to every other delivery bike in these cities especially Cambridge. Some of them are not even pedal assist and just riding around on electric like a converted old scooter. No numberplate nothing just carry on mate don’t worry about it.

  • @mtbalot
    @mtbalot 8 месяцев назад

    That's a keeper! 👍👍 Those pedals are easy swapped out for some nice wide Alum ones, but you will need a pedal-wrench.
    Could it be as simple as putting a sticker over the power rating, with a LOWER power? once it get covered in muck the cops wont notice 💪💪👌

      @@englishwoodsman it will really depend on how much you use the throttle. If you are in assist mode only on one of the lower speed settings, it will maybe get you to 60/70km but them 1000w motors love to eat the battery. Obviously also depends heavily on the terrain and weather but don’t be surprised to see less than 50km range when using only the throttle. Also make sure to charge it straight after every use. The batteries don’t like sitting around at low levels, especially in the colder months
