BIGGEST upgrade yet!!! The Upgrade: Shorter date, tweaks here and there and now you can drag n drop icons from the start menu to the taskbar. Much Inovation
Don't worry. The devs are busy working on win12 which will feature nothing new and reverse every change they have done so far, similar to how they initially released win10 and win11 :)
@roccociccone597 i think This taskbar has a different code. because when you customize the taskbar using third party apps, it just changes it to legacy version aka Windows 10.

Yeah it's insane they still haven't added that. I wanna keep my taskbar at the top. Also it's good they are adding some of these small new features but I feel like it should have been there by default or early updates. Also one thing they should add back is batch editing details of files in file explorer. Since Windows 7 to 10 (and probably also Vista) for example you can select 10 music files and write in the details panel that they are electronic music, then it updates all 10 of them. Same with other when photos were taken etc. Now you can't edit info of any file. So they should add back this feature with better batch editing capabilities. And also an option to quickly add album cover to selected songs through file explorer that would be good.
What i was looking for , was the option to make taskbar thinner, just like what we had in windows 7, 8, 10. It was a nice option that gave users a little more vertical space. And they took it away in Windows 11.
Over 3 years later and we still cannot make the taskbar smaller or move it... Seems I have to keep using explorerpatcher to fix the problems that Microsoft refuses to acknowledge.
I don't think it'll be like that if it reached the stable branch, this squares with colors for me are more like placeholders for initial release, if I'm not wrong this is hidden si it's not actually functional.
Windows is moving towards looking like a mobile version of itself. Damn I have a PC, Give me what a mouse would not something that looks like a launcher

Damn we are so cooked when people get hyped about this, you could do this on Linux since it ever started, just the damn compatibility and no one will use windows.
useless keyboard shortcuts for switching between apps in the taskbar... and to hide/show an icon??!! (bell icon). Is this really what MS can do in 2024? Where is the auto dark mode?
As usual it's a pile of crap because none of the designers knows what the others are doing and often, they don't even know themselves what they are doing and why. And I did not even mention bloatware and telemetry spying and the total mess of where all settings are located, and the restrictions Microsoft is imposing on what to use on your own legally bought OS. Imaging working the whole week on a bell icon showing or not. It must be the most exiting job out here, isn't it. And then Windows 11 is unstable. All offered solutions have never worked for me. The only possible reinstall is that is working is swapping the boot and system disk with a previously cloned one.
Still isn't good enough. They also gutted out and compatibility for functions for shell that have been in the OS since NT first existed. If you wanna customize it be more functional like Windows 10 then it's "too bad", trying to even force it with third party software makes the shell almost broken since the old functions are gone cause Windows doesn't want people changing things anymore even if you are on Pro and have legit functional reasons to want your OS a certain way. This feels like Windows 8 again trying to cater to handheld users and normies instead of leaving room for a functional work space. It's just more and more inconvenient with more and more telemetry to spy on customers. So they can force you to stay within their closed off environment they are trying to build while also selling off your info to advertisers. Microsoft is becoming a joke.

Just what I was about to say. Completely wasted my time watching this video.
an update to get back what we used to get is crazy
You beat me to the comment. I agree.
It’s a “new feature” 😂
The Jump Lists should include the app name at the top, so users do not have to rely on recognising the app by the icon.
Not allowing taskbar reposition on current version is shameful :-\
I think they're still developing it yet..
@@justinekakay mate. They had it removed it and have been working on it for what. 3 years at this point? Please...

The Start Menu design is the most amazing thing happened with this build.
Windows 8.1 and windows 7 had the best start menus ever. Windows 11's is the worst.
Start menu still sucks
@@Just1Dev Absolutely not. The Windows 11 start menu is so much better

we need the option to resize and move to whatever side the taskbar. Daimn it's been so long and still only adware with each update

Who cares about what users want... as long as you can milk them for money and data and artificially lock them into their products why bother.

Thanks for share!
Come back classic Windows theme to resolve all problems this design!
I can envision use cases for some of these. Thanks for the video
Greetings from Linux.
All I want is evenly sized taskbar buttons when not combining. JUST LIKE IT HAS BEEN FOR 26 YEARS!
I quite like the new start menu, i'd probably use grid view
All these updates and features are useless when all we want is to reduce the Taskbar size...
Redesigns? All options from the old right click menu not yet implemented in the newer menu - is this still a work in progress, or wtf?
I know 😂 lol but you can hold shift and press right click on windows 11 to get the old style back ❤
Wow if only they implemented a basic feature that allows you to reposition your taskbar and change its size.
Over 3 years later and we still cannot make the taskbar smaller or move it...
Seems I have to keep using explorerpatcher to fix the problems that Microsoft refuses to acknowledge.
just dont use windows because explorerpatcher may help you get a usable taskbar but it wont remove the spyware
The category view would have been nicer if you could see app icons instead of colors, or live tiles, which aren't there in 11
I don't think it'll be like that if it reached the stable branch, this squares with colors for me are more like placeholders for initial release, if I'm not wrong this is hidden si it's not actually functional.
I also think this is just a placeholder for an unfinished and not yet mentioned start menu refresh.
This is still in dev stage, when you click at the color tile, it's do nothing. It just an placeholder for now
Yes is on the Beta Channel what is build 22635.3930 is
And you still can't move the taskbar to the top or resize it.
nice video
hovering on closed apps is great
I thought about, but I've running the OS for a few days, and I'm already annoyed by the times I hover over by mistake and that menus opens up 🤪
Maybe if they restored the small taskbar, it would be great.
Windows is moving towards looking like a mobile version of itself. Damn I have a PC, Give me what a mouse would not something that looks like a launcher
i dont like ai on my system, but i want that background image
I installed this update but don't have the new start menu option. How do I activate it?
Has the right click context menu been fixed?
can i get link of your wallpaper?
Ugh, gotta check my uodates
Windows 11 is going to be amazing in about 10 years...

dark mode in website
si cierto no se puede ancalar desde el menu xd
